There are many options for types of burritos and tacos even pizza. I can’t complain for being a first timer. I would request next time not so much rice! I ordered the number 7. The chips and guacamole is great. Stop in for a try.

So I’m really excited about trying this place again. I was craving a quesadilla and working in the mall I’m used to the crappy semi quesadilla attempt at Chipotle so I went to GrubHub and I found out that Burrito Joint delivered and their prices were actually quite good so I got me my chicken quesadilla… and then proceeded to smash it out once it got here. It was delicious! I really hope that next time I order it is just as delicious because this place will become a regular lunch decision for me.

Ordered 1lb of chicken wings. They did not taste like chicken at all. I’m feeling sick.

A RETROSPECTIVE: I was in college at the time of my original review. I thought some things were great that were not actually great. Burrito Joint is fine. Nothing to write home(or the internet) about. Much of its appeal was its proximity to my house. Fear not, college is well behind me and will no longer cloud my judgment.

Terrible. That’s all I have to say. Tasted like it was microwaved. I will never eat here again.

pretty sure the salsa that came with my food was Pace salsa from a can. that pretty much sums up the experience. save your money for mexican food from another place(…really any other place). can’t speak for their pizza, haven’t tried it, and have no plans to try it.

Relatively cheap/fast/good. Not the best ever but much better than the current 2.5 stars it has. I’d recommend it over most other burrito places in town.

I ate halfway through my «chicken» burrito before getting to any meat. Not that the chicken was even any good once I found it. As crappy as their food is, you’d at least hope the prices would be cheap. Take your money elsewhere. This is hands down the worst burrito place in Ann Arbor.

25 minutes after I ordered they cancelled my ordered because I’m ‘out of their range’ I’m 3 miles away. Stay away if you’re hungry.

Just go anywhere else in Ann Arbor that has burritos, and you’ll be better off. I’ve both ordered directly from the restaurant, and had Burrito Joint burritos at the Mujo café on UM’s campus and been severely disappointed both times. The rice is bland, the meat tastes cheap and dry, and there’s just nothing really good to say about it.

I love this place! I order the same thing every time(didn’t used to do that here, but that’s just what I do everywhere). I order the green machine. Super tasty. Super filling. Reasonably priced. Generous portion for 2(a burrito and side of chips and dips) and best of all, friendly staff. The owner has always been nice. She even asked for feedback and was very apologetic when my food ran behind. I think her name was Lynn or Lynette. Very nice! I would say if you had a fluke experience, try try again. If you want something way cheap and authentic, point your face in the direction of Mexican town in Detroit. Burrito joint didnt say squat about authenticity AND the price is cheap for campus food. Love it!

We ordered from their menu, didn’t request any changes or exceptions. Our burritos and nachos arrived cold and with the wrong fillings. The nachos came with hardly any chips. We called and the guy said they had ran out and that was all they had left. WEDONOTRECOMMEND!

I thought it would be nice to have a fresh hot burrito delivered to my door. What a let down it was when not only was the food not hot but it took over an hour and a half to receive my order. On top of that they were out of chips and over charged on my order. This place is definitely at the bottom of the heap when it comes to quality. BTB, Moe’s, Chipotle, and Qudoba are all in a different league and make much better products then this place. In the way of flavor I’d say the bland, low quality burritos have more in common with the fare at Taco Bell. Next time I need a burrito fix I’m going to get my ass out to one of the places listed above, and will avoid The Burrito Joint at all costs.

CHEAP– OK taste. HUGE portions A lot of people have bashed this place for burittos being full of rice. Yes, these are rice-heavy burritos, so if you’re a vegetarian I’d say go for it. The meat is not so great. I advise against chicken since they use the worst dark meat parts of the chicken. The steak was bland but edible. I have to admit that we DO order from them 2 – 3 times per month because we: * like the convenience of ordering online * always ADD extra veggies * we sometimes get the buritto bags for convenience * and they deliver fairly quickly. If anything I would say that at least they don’t oversalt the food and it always has a clean taste to it. However, I’m weary now that I’ve heard about some of their sanitation practices. I think I’m going to stick to NOT eating anything meat there if we keep ordering because I don’t need to risk half-cooked food. If I ever see another post that mentions food dropped on the floor is served to a customer, I will totally blacklist this place. I only see one post stating that they did that. Not sure what to believe. At any rate, for cheap vegetarian food with huge portions, go for it.

Apparently the braying wildebeast that works behind the counter is the owner and manager of this fine establishment. I found this out after she called my boyfriend a cuss word because he was, uh you know, trying to be a customer of the business. When he called to complain, some hapless fellow answered the phone and stated that she is the owner and manager of the place and therefore can do whatever she wants and doesn’t field customer complaints. He apologized profusely for her behavior and stated that he has to do so quite often… The one and only time I visited this place, this beast of a woman yelled at me for inexplicably screwing up my own order from the customer side of the counter(?), which spurred me to ask for a manager or the owner; this lady told me they weren’t in! So I guess add lying to the long list of customer service afronts… then run, don’t walk to Chipotle.

I thought this place is totally sketchy. I mean, they make pizza, subs, and burritos. That’s not credible. But it turned out actually quite alright. I think they actually use better ingredient than BTB — or at least more saucy and flavorful ones. It’s not a place to go for«authentic» burritos, whatever that means, but I’m happy with what they offer.

One star is generous for this place. I used to be a huge fan but my past couple orders here have been especially bad experiences. Food quality is pretty poor and what I find worse is the customer service. I recently had some food delivered to my apartment and chips and salsa were forgotten. I called and the driver said he wouldn’t come back for chips and salsa but to tell them the next time I’m in and they’ll give me it free… I tried to just do that and not only no luck, but the woman in back said«we don’t give out free chips and salsa» then proceeded to call me a «dick». Big ten burrito is just down the street, do yourself and your intestinal tract a favor and go there…

I’ll be honest, i don’t love the place. Sure, their burritos are huge and affordable, but they just don’t compare to BTB or Pancheros. Living in Ann Arbor, I have those 3 to choose from. There’s also a Taco Bell that was put in the League, but Taco Bell is everywhere… Not that i don’t love it! Like i’ve mentioned in my other reviews of mexican food, i always try the quesadilla. Theirs are only ok… They’re extremely greasy, and the meat is somehow always a little overdone. The best part is that they deliver. I like the food enough to order it once and a while from my house, because there are those days when you’re cramming for a test and you can’t even leave to get food or go grocery shopping. Overall, it’s ok. I wouldn’t walk or drive there to get food, but their delivery option earns them a few extra points from me.

What is with all the burritos in this town only being filled cilantro-lime rice?! Anyway, Andrew and I were craving burritos(we’re from California and have basically gone into good Mexican food withdrawl) so we thought we would try this on our way home. Bleh. The rice was overcooked and mushy, and it filled half the burrito. The chicken was ok, but because there was so much rice, I was pretty much tasting that with every bite. Don’t think I’ll be back. It’s definitely a take out joint, don’t expect to be able to sit anywhere comfortably.
