Well, I tried, but this place was not great. It’s just like every other ordinary, unremarkable, disgusting pizza in Ann Arbor. The pizza tasted like I was eating canned Chef Boyardee ravioli. The crust was a sponge, there was TONS of sauce on the pizza, and the other toppings were not even memorable. .and I’m pretty sure they were pickled or canned veggies. So gross.

My first time trying the pizza here was not the best experience. I order the cheese pizza with the Antipasto salad. The pizza was almost cold when I received it.

Had the ranch chicken pizza(without bacon & with some extra veggies) and it was pretty good. Definitely not the best pizza I had but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was thin crust. The regular crust seemed too thick and doughy. I would recommend getting the garlic and parm added on the crust because it added a lot of flavor that was lacking throughout the rest of the pizza. I kind of wished it was added ontop of the whole thing. Also, staff was really friendly and honest and let us know that only chicken was certified halal. Make sure you get delivery or take out because it’s not very dine in friendly.

Easily my favorite pizza spot in A2, can’t ever leave the city without visiting at least once. My favorites are the Muhammad Ali pizza, the tandoori chicken pizza, and the buffalo wings. Have been a regular here for over 10 years, the service has improved recently.

Best pizza and people in town! There isn’t another place in Ann Arbor where you can get quality pizza topped with love! Friendliest joint in town! Not to mention the best Philly cheese steak sandwich! And the cheesy bread with ranch dressing! The variety here is fantastic! Gyros! Chicken wings!!!

I love everything about Faz Pizza. From the actual quality and taste in the food to the customer service. I don’t eat meat often, but when I do it is extra pepperoni! I could eat here everyday, if only I lived closer.

The pizza was perfectly baked and delicious! I normally always have to dip my pizza in another sauce of some sort for some added flavor however this pizza has some great flavors, i’m not sure what they use but it’s the bomb! Also the crust is delicious too! I’d highly recommend this pizza!

This is a review of the Ann Arbor pizza joint I call«Faz Hello» Pizza… not«Hello Faz» Pizza as the new proprietors began to call it 5 or so years ago. We have been regulars here for the last 20 years… since the days when Faz himself, would answer the phone… make small talk with you… eventually take your order… thank you by your first name… and remember you the next time you called in an order. Now that is customer service! Faz, the gregarious original founder and namesake of this small pizza joint in this college town full of tomato pies, passed away some years ago however, his spirit lives on with the hundreds of pics plastered all over the walls of Faz with some of the biggest names in the world including the likes of Bill Clinton, Mohammed Ali and Robert Redford. We grabbed a couple of pies this night including one standard pepperoni and one dressed up with ‘shrooms, onions and green peppers. The pizzas and the service were good but the new owners lack the charisma that made«the Faz» famous. Nevertheless, Faz Hello(in that order) got the job done with another satisfying visit.

Good classic American pizza… with a penchant for Ranch dressing. This tastes like my childhood. This isn’t Italian, their regular crust isn’t Chicago(though they do a deep-dish), and beverage pairings are definitely more«Coke or beer» than«chianti classico»… though that does work. The meat is halal(most noticeably: no pig), which results in some brain-teaser menu descriptions: «Beef sausage, turkey ham, onions, …» which means: «Cow cooked like a sausage, in a long tube and sliced. Loud gobbler bird cooked in the style of cold cuts, with some sugar. Round white things from the ground.» The wall is adorned with pictures of Faz next to Muhammad Ali, Spike Lee, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and local softball teams. Definitely my new go-to pizza place.

It only took me five years… but finally called in my order so I could stop by on my way home… I got the large tandoori chicken square… picked it up, got home and started to eat. While the square pizza isn’t there compared to Jet’s Pizza… the dough was soft and chewy, it was pleasant eating their pizza. What I expected of the pizza and what I got was different and was disappointed… since it was tandoori chicken, I expected to find reddish colored chicken as the topping, expected to taste that tandoori flavor as I ate, but nothing like that happened… in fact, the chicken looked like grilled chicken… it sure wasn’t the tandoori chicken that I knew of… Why did I rate it one instead of 3 or 4? As I ate half way through my pizza, found a piece of hair in the box, half exposed on the box and the other under my pizza… yeah, I stopped eating on the spot… I just hope this isn’t common finding in the box… I’m not sure when I’ll have a return visit, but I just hope next time I get a take out, it won’t have another surprise inside :)

First, let me say that this is not my first time to Hello Faz. I’ve gone there regularly for almost 5 years. In the beginning they were amazing. However, over the past year, their quality and service has declined dramatically culminating in last night. During the order process, the person on the phone vehemently insisted that the Pizza sub had chicken. When asked what the Chicken Parm sub had, he described the same sub. When asked for the difference, he had no idea. Once he asked someone, they corrected him. OK, so, who cares. He was confused. It happens. We completed the order and he said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I got there in about 15 minutes, and it was clear they hadn’t even started it yet. When I inquired they said«Oh, it’s in the oven. It will be coming out in just a minute». After 30 minutes, I inquired again, and they said it was on it’s way out. When I asked about the delay, he blamed it on a large order(which certainly didn’t go out while I was there). I asked why, if they had a large order, did they tell me 10 minutes and then 1 minute, if they knew it wasn’t true. He had no answer. I checked the order and it seemed correct… until I got home and realized they never put the sauce on the sub. It was just dry meat and a little cheese. Also, never get the Indian dish either. It was awful. Finally, I also order a half dozen of their«homemade» chocolate chip cookies. While I was sitting there, I saw him take 3 packages of Grandma’s Cookies(the kind sold at gas station counters in the yellow wrappers). I knew something was up. So when the order came up, I asked… «so, these cookies are homemade». «Yes,» he said, «right out of the oven». «Then why did I see you take them out of these pre-wrapped packages,» I asked. He said that they had run out of their normal ones, but he wasn’t going to charge me for these. I obviously left them. First, their not homemade. Second, they were already baked and he baked them again. No, no, no, no. I’m never going there again. There’s plenty of competition for pizza. They clearly need new management to get the place back in shape.
