AH-MAZE-INGSERVICE!!! I go to this J Crew all the time. I used to shop at Banana a lot but the quality of the clothes and the customer service is very different. I appreciate the fact that J Crew clothes don’t absorb stains or require an insane amount of ironing. You pretty much dry the clothes, hang them, and they’re ready to wear. I recently had an issue with a pair of cords from J Crew that the button fell off of. The J Crew associate, Taylor, was amazingly helpful and took care of my issue. In the end this will make me shop at J Crew more. I know that if something is to happen to anything I’ve bought there, it will be taken care of without any questions asked. Although the cost of J Crew clothes are more expensive than other retailers like Banana Republic and Gap, it absolutely pays off if you ever have an issue with your clothes. J Crew took care of my pants free of charge, no questions asked. When I’ve had these issues at other clothing stores I’ve either been told to buy a new pair or go see a tailor.

I had a great experience when I stopped in this weekend. Not only were all the sale items 40% off, but the store’s stylist, who was ringing me up, mentioned the best thing ever: students get 15% off all the time. Did other people know this? I sure didn’t. It was lovely that the staff member thought to ask and inform me about the discount. J. Crew is normally a little pricy for my student-loan-poverty-chic lifestyle, but perhaps I’ll have to stop in more often because of this discount, instead of venturing all the way for the outlets’ bargain prices. Apparently they can even do it for online purchases, if you stop in the store to have them verify you. Also, it turns out that this location will soon be stocking suits in-store, which is great for those of us that will need to look somewhat professional if managing to snag employment after grad school. 15% off a suit? Sweet.
