There was only one girl working the day I went, perhaps because they’re new and students were gone for the summer still? In any case, she was very cute and very attentive to all of the customers in the shop. I personally like this store better than some of the other froyo places closer to campus because it’s a lot cleaner, but I guess I won’t know for sure until I visit now that school is back in session? Be sure to take advantage of their rewards program; if you don’t have your card with you, they can still look you up!

The Yogurt was good, not a very great fruit selection though. We also had a slight customer service issue. My girlfriend and I decided to try out the new ice cream place in town for her birthday yesterday. We gathered our ice cream, my girlfriend in great spirits, license in hand, ready to check out. Due to the sign at the register(stating that there was a «special reward» for birthday patrons) we asked if there were any specials for birthdays and we were told that since she had not registered for the rewards program prior to her birthday that she was not eligible for whatever discount there might be. On her birthday… was denied a simple discount… and told she would have to wait a full year before receiving said discount… as long as she registered for the rewards program ahead of time. Disgraceful in my opinion. I don’t think it needs to be said that she will never want to be a patron of Menchie’s ever again.

Sad, but I downgrading to 3 stars… and here’s why. If you have the ‘mySmileage’, you should check your transaction carefully. I’ve been here about 10 times since they opened and of the 10 times, I’ve only gotten credit on the mySmilage account for only 4 visits… I just gotta wonder what happened to the other six transactions? When they asked me if I had mySmileage account, I would give them my phone number, thinking that I would get the credit… but this wasn’t the case it seems… so I went today to try their pineapple tart flavor(by the way, it’s not part enough!!!)… when I was at the checkout, the cashier asked me if I had the mySmileage and I said, yes and provided my phone number. Cashier gave me a receipt of what I had spent… then when I got home to check, sure enough it registered and showed up on my list of transactions. What I have to wonder is, what happened to the other six times when I provided mySmileage account information? Clearly they took the number and entered it… could they have entered a wrong number or did not press something like«apply» button on the register? To think of it, I didn’t receive a receipt like I did today, indicating how much I spent… I’ll be monitoring my visits carefully moving forward and make sure I get my receipts… it seems odd that some transactions are posted and others are not… what gives Mechie’s of Pittsfield township??? I hope you’ll address this issue so that it doesn’t happen to others. I wish this only happened to me, but a friend of mine had the same experience…

52 cents per ounce. Good variety of flavors, but they taste very artificial. Been here twice, got honeydew and watermelon both times. I also had some cherry tart. All taste pretty good, but the artificial flavoring really stands out. Taste wise, it’s no better/worse than Orange Leaf.

Menchies blows Orange Leaf out of the water. Great froyo flavor choices and the best selection of toppings I’ve seen. That combo is too dangerous for this ice cream lover. Deducting one star for the high prices, as it’s more expensive than any other froyo places I’ve been to.
