Friendly staff happy to engage the kids in trying out toys and answering questions. Tons of stuff to catch young(and older) imaginations. Priced decently for a Kerrytown jewel. Interesting collection of old school and newbies. Caught sight of Rubix cube and etch a sketch. Saw folks visiting even without children. Perhaps suffering from bouts of nostalgia as I was. My kids want to go back. Check out the fairy door when you go

This is what a toy store should be! There’s great stuff for people of all ages to kind of tinker with, a minimum number of licensed property toys(aside from the always-popular name brand character train track in the corner), and a real relaxed«browse till you buy» kind of attitude. I love this toy store. I guess I should mention that my kids really do too. ..

Huge disappointment. We live in Royal Oak and went to A2 on a rare day off. At Mudpuddles, we found a toy we thought our toddler would like, some blowup dinosaur toy. We noticed the box was damaged and when we asked the owner, she assured us, «Oh, that happens in shipping all of the time. It’s nothing to worry about.» We got home, opened the box and the dinosaur had a hole in it. We live an hour away and rarely get to Ann Arbor. So, a month or so later, my wife had a job interview in A2. Perfect opportunity to return it, right? Wife rolls up there at noon to find a «Be right back» sign on a closed/locked shop. A month after that, we just threw the thing away, along with the $ 60 we paid for it. I don’t think the owner was being intentionally deceptive — at least I would hope not — but her oversight cost us money, and more importantly, time. Her selective hours didn’t help when we tried to return. Inattentive, careless ownership overseeing overpriced products.

What a great store! The merchadise is fabulous, and the concept is really cool. It’s a «must» for anyone looking for quality children’s products. I always find the perfect gift for my grandchildren… and grandmas are very particular :)

I have loved Mudpuddles as long as it has existed. I’ve bought so many amazing things there and the people are always totally pleasant and helpful. It’s simply an absolute delight to shop there.

Mudpuddles won’t have action figures from the latest blockbuster film that’s dominating public mindshare, but it will have toys that expand childrens’ minds. Hidden in the Kerrytown shops, Mudpuddles has vintage toys, educational games, and classic stuffed animals. When I wanted to find a safe, stuffed animal for my 16-month-old niece, Mudpuddles had a variety of options and even wrapped the gift for me in a quick and clever way. Looking for something unique? Fun? Whimsical? Find it at Mudpuddles. How great is it to have a quality toy store within downtown Ann Arbor? What’s great: — range of vintage and educational toys — range of wooden toys — reasonable prices — clean store atmosphere — outstanding customer service What’s meh: — parking in Kerrytown is limited but it’s in walking distance if you’re downtown

Tree Town Toys over on Plymouth Road has a larger selection, but Mudpuddles is also a good choice for an out-of-the-ordinary toy-shopping experience. Mudpuddles has a lot of educational toys and toys with a vintage flavor. They sell toddler toys, card games, art sets, yo-yos and stuffed animals. One unique offering I haven’t seen anywhere else is hula-hoops covered in tie-dyed fabric. And prices were competitive compared to other toy stores in the area.

Great toy and game selection. Mudpuddles has a very eclectic array of toys and games. I do have one concern, some of the infant toys and accessories, looked less than safe,(i know if they are selling them they have to pass some sort of safety test) but i would not let my child have a small wooden beaded pacifier clip.

I love toys. This store(inside Kerrytown) has good ones. You don’t have to settle for the millionth cute stuffed animal. Choose creatively! Some favorites that I got here: a magician with a flaming sword(toy soldier scale, suitable for placing on a toy soldier’s horse), Groovy dolls(complaint: they only have the girls, not the boys), a few other things to play with. I also share with children, but these are MINE.
