I stayed here for awhile in 2013 because it is near my mothers house where I grew up. I am thinking of visiting again this fall. The woman who runs it was always very helpful and easy to deal with.(I was there to relax though, if you are rowdy or intimidating she may turn you away. She has the right, she’s owned it for close to 40 years.) I had my pitbull with me and she was very nice about it, since my dog is so friendly. The price was very good, and the location is just outside of Ann Arbor. It was very relaxing in the room and the backyard. It is on a very busy road though, and traffic tends to back up in front of the motel during rush hour. One problem was that at that time there was no internet, so I had to tether my computer to my phone. On the upside there is a generator that automatically comes on if there is any power outage in the area, and a few small stores and restaurants within a ¼ mile. I actually brought a tiny microwave from my mother’s house, so with the mini-fridge in the room and all the shopping and restaurants a couple of miles towards Ann Arbor, I was all set.

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Ann Arbor, MI
This is a motel in Dixboro. Even if you live in Ann Arbor you may not know that Dixboro is a town and not just a country road. But it’s a quaint little town with a café, a couple of antique shops, an animal shelter, some houses, and this motel. The motel itself is rather old it seems, but it is very well maintained and continuously upgraded. The bathroom of my room was completely new and the heater was replaced while I was staying there. I stayed there for 4 weeks and I never had any problems. The lady who runs it is extremely nice, friendly, and helpful… though a little weird. Sh provided a mini-fridge, cleans the rooms, and generally makes sure your stay is comfortable. It’s convenient to lots of places because it’s not far from Ford Road, 23, and 14. It took me about 15 minutes to get to downtown Ann Arbor. There are super markets and other such things just down Plymouth road at Green Road, so even though it’s in the middle of nowhere it’s actually close to everything. I would definitely stay here again if I need to stay around Ann Arbor for a few weeks again. Nothing fancy, but everything I needed(accept internet, and the cell phone signal was sketchy sometimes).
