So sad to see that is closed. It was a great place with great food.

Stopped by for happy hour today and found a notice in the window that Bonefish is now closed. Corporate people milling about and scraping the name off the doors and windows. Sorry to see it go.

I’ll start by saying I really like Bonefish — but not this one. This was our first time in the Annapolis location and it was empty. Only 2 other tables occupied and empty bar. This was 6:30. Granted it was a Tuesday but they had an amazing special with salad, entrée and dessert for $ 14.90. I would have expected to wait. But alas it was empty. Service was fast. So fast in fact that our appetizer, salad and entrée came within 3 minutes of each other. The appetizer last. Our server did not come to our table to check on us until the food was horribly cold. We needed condiments and they were worthless by the time we got them as our entrees sat about 30 minutes before we got to them. Food quality was not up to par compared to the Glen Burnie location. We ordered the same entrée and the portion sizes were way different. Won’t be back to this location. If we are in the area we’ll go somewhere else. FYI — TV in bar was playing Chopped from food network. Chef should have watched for tips.

Awful food! Everything tasted old and frozen I couldn’t eat it, very disappointed, my husband and I came for happy hour we had ceviche(worst ceviche ever and the chips tasted burnt), coconut shrimp and calamari, the only good thing was the wine

Bonefish is a perfectly adequate dining option for a night out in Annapolis, and even though some consider it to be a grubby chain restaurant, it competes successfully against the over-rated Chop House next door. Having recently been disappointed by The Chop House, I wanted to see what its next door neighbor had to offer. My only mistake was going on New Year’s Eve. Although I had a reservation, I was not seated until 15 minutes after the time I reserved. I got the bang bang shrimp to start to see if they were worth all the hype. It seemed like every other table got an order of bang bang shrimp, and for good reason, the dish is delicious. Sure, anyone can deep fry a decapod, but Bonefish does it well and then slathers a creamy spicy mayo sauce all over. For my taste test between Bonefish and The Chop House, I ordered the filet mignon(medium rare) with potatoes au gratin. Results: the potatoes au gratin tasted like mac and cheese, but Bonefish cooks a steak just as mediocrely as The Chop House. The bread comparison between the two restaurants gives the advantage to Bonefish; I quite enjoyed the warm bread with olive oil combination. In summation, I will forego spending $ 300 at The Chop House and instead receive a comparable cut of meat with some bang bang shrimp for one-fifth of the price at Bonefish.

We got a very generous coupon in the mail and I had been meaning to try Bonefish based on my sister’s recommendations as well as many here on Unilocal(always my first source for recommendations) and last night was the night. We came in out of a steady downpour and were greeted by the host who was intent on making it a nice evening. We were early and it was fairly open. We chose dining seating over high tops in the bar. Our server, Peter, was INITIALLY friendly and knowledgable and filled with personality. In between taking our drink orders(and seemingly forgetting us) and then our meal order, he pretty much disappeared. Someone else brought our appetizer and then salad and meals. When my meal was presented I had to ask the server who brought the meal if I could get another glass of wine. It must have been noticeable because at one point another server stopped at our table and asked if we had been waited on. We never did get bread although I saw it being brought to other tables and after we had our meals, Peter stopped by briefly and asked if we wanted bread. The only other time we saw him was when h unceremoniously put our check down after scooping up the credit card type coupon I had placed on the edge of the table. The food was excellent. For a starter we shared sautéed shrimp in a lime tomato garlic sauce with Kalamata olives and Feta cheese. I had the mahi mahi special and my husband had the swordfish and pumpkin ravioli. The house salad was lovely and the presentation of everything was spot on. We plan to go back soon and try the famous Bang Bang Shrimp and a chicken dish that looked like a must try. We will definitely be back! The food and ambiance were good and made up for us feeling that our server wasn’t particularly in tune to us.

I’ve been here a few times. Once, was atrocious and I swore I’d never come back here. Second was uneventful, kind of like the food. This time, I am writing a review because our server was just amazing and I wish I could remember her name because I definitely told the manager how super she was. Other then that, I just think this place is just boring as hell. The food was fine but forgettable. Typical chain, no surprises.

We had dinner last night after a 4 day drive across country in a UHaul. We were looking forward to a seafood dinner. We’ve eaten here once before and had a good experience. Not so last night. The waiter was indifferent at best. Could have cared less about us, and treated us as if we were less than equals. Snobby is a good word. He should not be in the service business. I could have overlooked that if my food had been well prepared. The sugar snap peas were gray and very overcooked, but we had waited so long by then(at least 45 minutes) for our meal that I made the decision not simply not eat them. Not only was the service atrocious, but the food inedible. We were brought glasses of water after dessert was served, though these had been requested at the beginning of the meal. We won’t be going back. Too many other good places to eat in Annapolis.

Came in for Mother’s Day. Half-pound Kobe beef burger was burnt and completely overcooked. My son’s burger was equally overcooked. Yuck. Wife had surf and turf eggs Benedict. The seafood and the steak looked like they had come right out of the freezer. Sauce was not good. We expected service to be slow, but had much higher hopes for the food. We were disappointed.

I cannot express how frustrating this service is in this place, it is consistently horrible. The food is typically great which is the only reason I think makes people come back(including me). Every server and bartender I’ve encountered are extremely inattentive, food is slow to come out and they do not care. The host people are sloppy and clearly bored. This review is harsh but it’s deserved! Sorry Bonefish!

Walked in and right OUT. My family has owned seafood businesses all my life. This place smells of rot and mold. I took my family across the street to PF Changs. Stay away. I actually have gotten sick here before and was trying to give it a second chance. No way in h***.

We met my brother-in-law and his wife here this week and were looking forward to introducing them to one of our favorite restaurants. Sadly, I doubt they’ll be returning and I’m not sure we will either. Upon receiving our ceviche, a small bug(possibly a baby cockroach?) crawled across the chips and onto the table. He was squashed by my brother in law and we quickly told the next staff person to walk by, and asked for a new ceviche. We had a very awkward interaction with the manager who spoke in a hushed voice and apologized. Our ceviche was taken away, and apparently that order was canceled, since no one came back with any more. Our entrees came about 40 minutes later, after we wondered if they had forgotten our table even existed. In the end, our meal was comped, which was nice, but our server basically said, «well, I guess the whole thing is free…» When she handed us the check. It was strange. Between the bug, the awkward interactions, and the slow service, I doubt we’ll return to this restaurant.

So, we ventured up to Annapolis a day early for Thanksgiving because mother nature is a raging biotch and always brings horrible weather when we have to travel. So, I packed in somewhat of a hurry, and coming from my normally temperate great city of Charleston, had ZEROWARMCLOTHES in my suitcase. We woke up at my mom’s house to a freaking snow storm. Left the youngin’ with the grandparents and hit up Target for a hat, coat, boots — the works. We were hungry and stopped at Bonefish for lunch and it was very good! I don’t remember it being open for lunch when I lived in NJ so the menu was totally new for me, and I did miss the dinner staples. Nice bartender, nice ambiance.

We arrived early for our 6:00 Saturday evening reservation but weren’t seated until 6:24. We complained to the host station as well as to the hostess who seated us. At our table, we waited and waited for anyone to notice us. Finally, 15 minutes after we were seated a manager came over, said he understood we were unhappy, took a drink order(at happy hour prices since I said we had missed it because of such late seating), asked if we would like water and bread, and offered a free appetizer. Again a wait before finally a waitress appeared. When we asked about specials, she turned over the specialty drink card on the table and found the specials page missing. After another wait, she returned with one. Finally at 7:00 we placed our order which arrived with no problems. The food was good although my fish was overcooked. The entrée came with a «fresh seasonal vegetable» and choice of one side. The seasonal vegetable was couscous, which is neither seasonal nor a vegetable. We had discussed leaving a very small tip to indicate our displeasure. The check arrived and before I could look at it, a different manager arrived who according to her business card is managing partner. She picked up the check and said she would take care of it. So the restaurant picked up the tab for three people. Apologies forthcoming from everyone we encountered. Nice, but it didn’t improve our experience. While we waited, we observed a number of things. Hosts were clearing tables. A manager was serving food. People were being seated at tables bare of the basic napkin-wrapped silverware. A number of tables were available but uncleared. A number of cleared tables were available but a lot of people were still waiting near the entrance. Our conclusion: the dining room is poorly run, there is no one to bus tables, there is no one to see that patrons are seated in a timely manner with water and bread brought promptly. This is our third visit to this restaurant, each with a long wait to be seated. We won’t try for a fourth.

A little disappointed. I was looking forward to trying this Bonefish location as others that I have been to were good. This one disappointed me in service the most. We went on a Sunday around noon for brunch. The dinning room was almost empty except for maybe six tables. I though this would be great in that we could get in and out quickly. I was wrong. It took a while to get our food but once it came, it was delicious. That’s why they got three stars instead of one or two. Even paying the bill took forever. I’m not sure where the problem is but something needs to change. I can’t imagine a busy night here. In addition, the rest rooms weren’t the cleanest either. No soap, no toilet paper holders and not as clean as I’d expect. I’d like to try it again and may but not for a while.

The food is always on point, and was confirmed by all six of us cleaning our plates. The steak tataki was seared perfectly and the sauce was just spicy enough. Our entrees were all great but the one thing we kept raving about was the spaghetti squash! My mouth is watering just thinking about it… And save room for dessert because the crème brulé was the perfect ending to a yummy yet very long meal. Why long? Because the service was slower that molasses! We started ordering drinks back to back in order to avoid the 20 minute wait for them. It was disappointing because the meal was phenomenal! Sadly, all the positives were basically erased when my husband exited the men’s room and informed me the host(still working at the host station) didn’t wash his hands!!!

Stopped by for drinks and a light dinner. The place was very quiet when we arrived. Our server took our drink order and«bang bang shrimp» order while we decided on dinner. The first round of drinks arrived(finally) along with our«bang bang» chicken tenders. When we pointed out we received chicken instead of shrimp, the order was quickly replaced. Ordered our dinner and that was the last time we saw our server. Food arrived(served by another employee) and we asked for another round of drinks. We ate dinner and waited for drinks. We talked and waited for drinks. When our server passed within 10 yards we flagged him down and asked where the drinks were. Not prepared yet, we decided to forego the second round, pay our bill and have a drink at home. In summary, food was good, table and bar service was horrible.

Took my parents out to an early pre-cruise extra Father’s day dinner and we were NOT disappointed! I know everyone loves the Bang Bang Shrimp and we’re no different — they are delish! Don’t bother to take them home, they don’t re-heat well. Just enjoy them — share them — crave them! Mom got the lobster special, Dad and I got surf & turf — Mom won! I also came here the month before & got the grilled shrimp with grilled veggies(see pic) and that was yummy!(see pic) The house bread is even delish! We split a bottle of Pinot & took the rest home — at the $ 9 a glass wine price — get the bottle, you’ll save $$ and in Maryland now, you can cork it and take the rest home. Sure, Bonefish Grille is a chain — but they do a good job — and we’re from Maryland and we know our seafood! Unilocal Question: What’s all this about Bike Parking? Is that a new MUSTHAVE? I travel all year, take notes, food pr0n pics, and during the summer break writeup my Unilocal reviews — and I’ve noticed this question about Bike Parking coming up on almost every review!

I was craving seafood and since Bonefish had a decent selection and it was easy to get to, we caved and went for dinner. Good call as this experience was so much better. My guess why? Lack of patrons. It was empty so there was no rush placed on the kitchen to jam out plates. Tuesdays they have a lobster promo which for some reason they offered it as well the night we went,(Thursday) For about $ 13 bucks, you could choose from their house or caesar salad, about a 5oz tail, and a side. They really offer a lot of options here from various potato preparations to asparagus, quinoa, and ravioli for $ 2 bucks more. I decided on the French green beans. The house salad was beautifully prepared and lightly dressed with a citrus vinaigrette. It came with a both crisp greens and spring mix, hearts of palm, Kalamata olives, tomatoes and crunchy pepitas. I haven’t enjoyed a salad like this in years. I knew the tail would be small but they offered an additional one for $ 8. I asked both to be basted in non salted butter which they happily obliged. I tend to avoid ordering tails, as we are used to the New England way of getting a whole steamed lobster. These little guys are tricky as they can overcook in a heart beat, and what could have been a delicate sweet meal turns into a tasteless rubbery one. Whoever cooked them here, though, knew what they were doing as they turned out great and actually had some excellent flavor. It was nice to have and ENJOY lobster again. For about $ 21, I considered this meal a winner. My companion opted for the lobster roll slider and fries for $ 7.90. Again, well executed, and a good size considering the price. We paid upwards of $ 15 at a food truck specializing in this sandwich and there was no comparison. In the end, this experience was so much better than the last one we had at the Bonefish. I’m willing to continue to patronize it if it continues to deliver.
