Just like the name suggests. Great food. Family friendly. Will remain on my short list of good breakfast locations for family and out of town guests. Friendly service. Convenient parking.

This is my favorite breakfast location in and around Annapolis! I love the eggs Benedict but everything’s eggcellent!!! The daily fresh made muffins are to die for and highly recommended. Quick service and always with a smile!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. My friend and I were excited about trying a new brunch place. However, we both walked out disappointed. There are not too many options on the menu. I ordered baked egg spinach which was very bland. The ambience was mediocre. I ordered hot tea and my hot water was«luke warm» and was dirty. I had to send the hot water back. The service was good. Unfortunately, this does not measure to the standard of other brunch places in Annapolis.

I had brunch there with a group of 6. The service was good and the food came fast. Nothing particularly special about what I ordered. But the portion size was good.

My mom and I stopped in here for the first time on a Tuesday in early December. We arrived around 12:20 and the place was crowded. We asked for a table and were given the table on the wall right behind the hostess stand. It’s an awkward spot(the only thing you have to look at is the wall) but at least we were seated immediately. Our server came over quickly and took our drink order. We both ordered waters and I also ordered a Strawberry Banana smoothie(yogurt, milk, strawberries, bananas). The smoothie was a bit bland and tasted like something I could have made at home myself. I know that sounds a bit silly, but for $ 4(I believe this was the price — the online menu has no prices) I guess I expected to be wowed. Oh well! I tried it. For lunch, I ordered the chicken bruschetta sandwich(grilled chicken, provolone, lettuce, tomato bruschetta, balsamic vinaigrette, ciabatta bread). The sandwiches come with potato salad, pasta salad or chips, but I opted for the substitution of fresh fruit(an additional charge). I’m glad I did because every single piece of fruit in my bowl was fresh — even the fruits that weren’t in season! I was very surprised. The sandwich was great. It’s definitely something I’d recommend and order again. The chicken was juicy, the bread was soft and the other ingredients on the sandwich were fresh. My mom ordered the Reuben sandwich(corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, thousand island dressing on rye toast) and chips. She loved her sandwich. I had a bite of hers and I agree that it was a great sandwich. The sandwich was piled high with meat. Overall, everything was fresh. The owner even walked around to random tables asking everyone how their food was. I believe he was the one who even brought our food out! By the time we were finished with lunch, a line to get inside was beginning to form. The place stayed consistently busy from the time we arrived to the time we left. I can definitely see why people have called this a hidden gem. I’m just glad we finally«discovered» it! We will definitely be back.

Delicious food, fast service, and no wait for brunch on a Sunday! I had the crab hash and my husband had the corned beef hash. Both were delicious. Service was very friendly, our server was incredibly sweet, and the prices were more than affordable, especially considering the quality of the food. Today was our first visit and we will definitely be back!

Food and place is great! Servers are friendly. Though the place is busy for brunch we got our table right away. Impressed with the Eggcellence!

Discovered this place on a Sunday morning and wowowow they were busy! Only waited about 15 minutes for a phenomenal breakfast. I built my own omelette and had a very attentive waiter even though they were incredibly busy. I went again this afternoon for breakfast with my sis and was impressed again. This time I got a warm, gooey, cinnamon roll. Make sure you order some kind of toast to try the delicious jams they have out on the tables. The jam was even good on the cinnamon roll. Decent prices with a great staff, and great food. I have found my new breakfast spot.

Our first time here! Found this place thru Unilocal and did not disappoint. We went here on a Friday morning, there was no wait and we were seated right away. The service was great! The server was friendly and courteous and our food was out in no time delivered to our table, if I’m not mistaken by none other than one of the owners himself. Had the crab hash which was great! Hubby got himself a Marylander omelette and for dessert we got some blintzes. Will definitely be back!

First time. Good food. The address won’t lead to the front door if you use GPS or Waze. It’s set off in the shopping center. Breakfast until 2:30? Great idea!

Bottom Line: An off-the-beaten-path spot for delicious breakfast served in a homey atmosphere. One of the things I really like about Eggcellence is that its out of the fray so its easy to find a parking spot and wait times are shorter than other locales. Additionally, the atmosphere here is very homey and service is very attentive. It’s nice too that the restaurant is split up into a few smaller rooms because I find that keeps the noise and chaos down. Eggcellence is only opened for breakfast and lunch but they have a varied menu to suit all appetities. I personally like Eggcellence for their Steak & Eggs Benedict in the morning.

Boyfriend and I, after experiencing the worst service in the Annapolis area, decided to drop by for brunch on our way home. The wait: 5 minutes The service: AMAZING! So friendly and their sense of urgency is just unbelievable. The food: wow. The waffles were soft and fluffy on the inside and toasted just enough on the outside. Drool. Then there’s this berry-jam mixture thing. It was delicious. I also had to try the Eggs Benedict. It was okay, I would’ve preferred more hollandaise sauce, but it was still very good. I would totally recommend this place to anyone in the area and if I lived closer, it would be my regular brunch spot.

Wow what a great place. Was in Annapolis for a lacrosse tournament and found this place on Unilocal,it is tucked away in a strip mall so your GPS may not find it. This place is well worth the trip. Get the Crabs Benedict, excellent crab meat and seasoning, also the breakfast burrito is great they will also give you a coffee to go

l’ll admit that this spot is on my one and done list. Nice enough establishment but it seemed something was lacking. Maybe I was all in my feelings this morning but if I ask for buttered wheat toast don’t bring me the toast and butter and hint that I should do it myself. I did like how they had the preserves in little jars on the table. I had the strawberry preserves and it was yummy. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated. I didn’t mind because it is the weekend breakfast/brunch crowd around 1000. I ordered the hot tamale frittata that came with breakfast potatoes and wheat toast. I expected it to be a little spicier but I remedied that by adding a few splashes of tabasco to my items. All items were flavorful and I was satisfied with the portion. Plenty of options to choose from depending on how hungry you are. Parking can be a challenge since it’s in an area where there are neighboring stores.

This is simply a good restaurant with a focus on breakfast and lunch only. Let’s just say mission accomplished! Homemade preserves and fast service is just what you need when you are waiting on the most important meal of the day, breakfast! If you are in the Annapolis area you must stop in Eggcellence. Do not be fooled by the exterior(it is in a strip mall) they have good food. I recommend any of the Frittas and the pancakes are a must!
