Updating my two-star review — COMPLETELYUNSATISFIED! We have had a water leak probably from the water line(duh) but have had TWO tech come out and they still have not fixed the problem. Another is scheduled to come out this week. Apparently you can’t get a new fridge — mine was purchased in August so under warranty — until parts are ordered and the problem still exists. I must have a dud — or Sears has dud techs! Give me a new fridge Sears!

Sears had a good deal on our washer dryer set. It was around Earth Day so there were some energy efficient models on sale. Paid Sears for delivery and the installation as well as the kit of parts for connecting the dryer to the wall. A while later we had some major lint in the laundry room and my husband pulled the dryer out from the wall to check the connection. LOANDBEHOLD! Sears’ contractor installers did not install the dryer correctly. How do we know? Essential pieces were not even used, apparently because they were not the right pieces. The unused pieces were hidden behind the dryer, so we did not catch it right away. Sears argued we hadn’t brought it up within their complaints window(it as either 30 or 60 days?), so we were out of luck. Escalation within Sears took forever and concluded with a $ 50 gift card for our trouble, but that just offset some of what we spent getting the correct dryer parts and some hassle getting it installed. What I like best about Sears is the embedded Lands End. Very good quality clothes and products, good sales, 100% guaranteed without a deadline for returns, easy returns at the local mall.

The appliance store has been really unreliable. We have waited now for three working days for the delivery of a new $ 1500 oven. The first one that was delivered would not work, and now we continue to wait. The dept manager and the salesman don’t give a darn; I guess they got their commission already. Fortunately we work at home so are not missing days at work, but they don’t know that. If he the delivery window is 9 to 5. We have bought all our appliances from Sears for decades but now my loyalty has been frayed.
