My husband and I love Jimboys tacos. We stopped here to get our favs, he likes beef tacos and i like chicken. First, they brought all beef tacos and forgot the chicken. That’s fixable, and they did take back 2 beef to exchange for 2 chicken. But, all the tacos were so greasy it was disgusting. I’m serious. The shells dripped with grease and we’re soggy. We won’t go to that Jimboys.

Asked them to make me a hamburger, I wasn’t in mood for Mexican food but mg friend wanted a taco. So it was gross!!! They made it with some taco meat !! Disgusting and expensive!

This location SUCKS. It’s owned by the same guy who owns the locations on Elkhorn in North Highlands and on Watt in North Highlands. The owner is greedy. He does not accept coupons that corporate emails to you. Get a buy one get one coupon? Forget it, they won’t accept it! Get a BIRTHDAY coupon? Forget it, they won’t accept it. Get a Taco Tuesdays email from corporate? Forget it, they won’t accept it!
Not only that. When they DO run a special, which is rarely, the idiots at the counter will not let you substitute a bean taco or a bean burrito for the meat one that is advertised!
How can anyone be this stupid? The bean taco is cheaper than the beef taco and they won’t let you have that instead??? This means that they do not care if you’re a vegetarian. If you are, then no special for you. Idiots. Absolute idiots.

I have been here numerous times. The establishment is clean and quaint. The food is delicious. Also go for a ground beef taco with the works and or a quesadilla. Never disappointing and the staff is very sweet.

I got sick a mth ago food poisioning. It was dripping from grease expense and very very bad. Someone that got to go thru kitchen said it was filthy. Do not eat there go to Migels down street where it is clean, affordable and like going south of the border. After reading past reviews wonder why board of health has not been called before it kills someone. When I called no refund was offered. Poorly managered and no one speaks english. Pass on Jim Boys unless you want food poisioning for a week.

The service is mediocre at best. Don’t expect them to know how to serve your food properly. I.e. You don’t serve a burrito bowl for here with a lid on top so that when the lid is removed, so is the sour cream, tomatoes, and the rest of what’s on top. Then you’ll also get a salad on top of your burrito bowl. Lettuce has no place on a burrito from an authentic Mexican place. Cilantro is the key! After I had them remake my order, I did enjoy the flavor of my food. So that’s why I give it 3 stars instead of one. At least the food is tasty. Just be sure to order to your exact specifications to halt any issues.

If u want high cost AMERICAN mexican style food come here. 1st time here and was not impressed what so ever. The food was a bland attempt to cook mexican style food. it seriously lacked flavor and spice, all of the salsa’s tasted like Pace Picante salsa. Got a carnitas burrito and ground beef nachos for $ 18! I was excited to try this place only to find it a waste of time and money. My only strong highlight was the service. They were all polite and fast serving which is always nice to have.
If it weren’t for the great service this place would get no stars.

Rude hispanic women with a self righteous attitude. I came. on taco Tuesday for their 1.25 tacos. I asked if I could use my coupon Ingot in the mail for free taco if I purchased the drink she rudely said no way, instead of being polite and explaining why. I then asked if someone could clean our table since the entire lobby was destroyed not a clean table or chair in its place with a comletely empty resturant, she started talking to her «girls» I the back cursing in Spanish saying «Chingada» something or another. Our food was made wrong and when we asked to have it fixed she responded and looked at both my wife and I like we were stupid, hello burritos have cheese and rice not just chicken and cheese. What a joke, I won’t be coming back to this one.

There’s not much difference between most Jimboy’s. This on is no exception to the rule. The food is good, the place is cleaner than most, the employee’s are friendly enough, It does have some nifty decorations, though. Nothing to complain about except that it’s a small location.

By far the best Jimboys location!
Visited this location for the first time today and I had outstanding service on my order to go. The food was excellent as well! The staff at this location is very kind and helpful and patient. Oh and the service is beyond fast! This will be the Jimboys location I make sure to come to whenever I decide to go to Jimboys! :)

I love Jimboys! Especially because its 2 minutes away :)
Its usually pretty clean inside. the customer service is okay. It’s usually pretty quiet, not usually a lot of people when I’ve been there, especially at dinner time.
My favorite is the burrito bowl. and the tacos are good as well.

I love Jimboy’s. The food is full flavor and lots of it. The price is good and it is quick fast food. A lot of my friends say that Jimboy’s is a grease pit and I think that is because of the delicious cheese they put thick on everything. Whatever it is it tastes good and thats why I go. Love the chicken items, the quesadillas and the tacos.

SOOO CHEAP for their food! I liked their fish tacos and their chicken quesadilla. I think We only paid for $ 30 to feed 8 people! I was impressed with their food! I will come back for sure just to grab a snack or something!

I’ve been driving by those Jimboy’s road signs ever since I’ve been making the drive from the Bay to Tahoe. I never really thought of stopping… just didn’t seem like a place I would like.
Boy was I WRONG!!! While I hear that this location doesn’t really represent the chain as a whole, you’ll get no complaints from me. Damn good tacos — love the soft shell with the parmesan cheese on the sides, all cooked to order. Small complaint that the Cinnamon Crispies seemed to have been made sometime that day and left under a heat lap. Yuck!
Overall, I’m lovin Jimboy’s and can’t believe that I passed them by so many times. Enjoy!
