Not sure why this place has such a high rating. It’s not bad but on the other hand, it’s not outstanding either. Having grown up in SoCal with tons of choices for Mexican food, this place just doesn’t compare. It was fairly bland, middle of the road food. The meat was bland, the beans were watery and needed salt, the salsa was fairly boring, yes boring. The chips were nasty. You can tell they are purchased in large bags and served. How hard is it to cut up corn tortillas and fry them? It might be unfair to compare the food to the food my abuela and tias made but, I do. Now I know why this place is empty whenever drive by. Sorry but I won’t be recommending or going back.

My BF and I really like this Mexican restaurant. The first time we came here, I got an enchilada plate and he got a California burrito. We both liked our plates. There’s also a chips and salsa bar available. The second time, we both ordered the grande quesadillas, but I added caramelized onions in mine. They were really good, my only complaint was that my quesadilla was a little oily, but must be from all the cheese. The staff is also really friendly and attentive. They always check up on us and always have a smile on. There’s a few Mexican places by our house, but this ones our favorite so it’s worth the drive. We need to come back and try $ 1 tacos on Tuesdays. The prices here are pretty good for the portions.

I moved to the area in May, and have come here probably once or twice a month since. I have always found the service to be good, and the food excellent! Also, their punch card system where you buy 4 grande burritos and you get one free, makes it an even better deal!

Our new taqueria joint. We live out in Roseville but were running errands in the area… We’ll be coming back just to get our grub on. When we’re trying a new Mexican food place my wife likes to try the street tacos. And I need to see how tender the meats(specifically the carnitas, which I’m particular about) are. A+++ to both. And the service was so friendly and helpful. Our 4 yr old devoured his quesadilla and more impressively his beans and rice. Try Martha’s nachos. Couldn’t even see the tortilla chips(which are delicious naked. the chips. not me) and somehow they weren’t overly heavy or cheesed. I need a nap.

First, we were seated right away and greeted with awesome customer service. This was our first time and we will definitely come back. Our kids loved the burritos. They were made to order and delicious! I had a Super Chicken Burrito(WET) — took me two days to finish(YUM). I love the salsa bar. The variety of salsas were great! The cost was really reasonable, and the waitress was very attentive with our beverages. Definitely should try this out.(We went on a Saturday afternoon)

Nobody does Taco Tuesday like MARTHA’s. My hubby and I love this place. Sold on the pomegranate margarita. Our favorite dishes are the Grande Quesadilla with chicken and Steak Rancheros with a lil cheese on top. The chips and salsa can use some improvement. Nice, family oriented restaurant. Best food in the antelope neighborhood for dining out with a nice armosphere. Tacos are a must try!!!

Burrito man back at it this time trying a new place. Ok right of the bat this place was clean, very well decorated and had a nice look to it. They had awesome service and where very friendly. Their salsa and chip bar was so good(this place has the best chips out of all taquerias) and finally their carnitas super burrito was bomb. Would recommend, would go back.

Very good mexican food! I came on a Tuesday so it was $ 1 street tacos all day, great deal! Also $ 3 dollar draft beer — when I went it was Tecate or Blue moon, not sure if that is always the case. The carnitas we’re really good, had a little spice to them but not too much. I also had the grilled chicken street taco, now that was good but very spicy. The chips were really good but they could work on the salsa bar a little. But overall great mexican food for a great price especially on Tuesdays!

I had SUPERGOODSERVICE!!! Lizette was my waitress and she was amazing. She checked in with drinks before I could even ask, and was extremely attentive. Got the order perfect and broke down a lot of options. I wanted a peach margarita and it seemed larger than life. Delicious flavor, a great buzz, and the cup was probably as big as my face. I ordered some carnitas street tacos and the seasoning was on POINT. I’ll definitely go back. Very authentic; homey. Very good atmosphere, and honestly a cool place for a family gathering.

We were excited to try this place out since it’s close to our house, and there is always ample parking. Both times we have gotten our orders to go, and ordered burritos and then side items such as tamales or tacos. The food is really good! The burritos are packed with flavor and are huge, even the veggie one. Even for to go orders they give you a chip bag and salsa containers to go, and they have so many salsas and extras to choose from. I get the spicy cabbage mix and the marinated jalapeños and carrots to add to my burrito. The chips aren’t great, but I’ll eat them since the salsa is so good. The service is also great here — everyone is always very friendly and even the chefs are willing to jump in and take an order if the servers are busy. I would much rather eat here rather than Carolina’s or Adalberto’s, it tastes much fresher and they provide lots of options. Big Bonus: They have a buy FOUR get one free burrito punch card. That’s my kind of loyalty card.

This restaurant forget to spelling out the correct word«inauthentic» instead of «authentic». I was starving all the day and thought I should give a shot this restaurant. Apparently, these foods aren’t delicious as i imagined, and i practically gave away an attitude about this meal, the server seemed dont give a crap. It’s literally ruined the experience for me and I have had to paid the tab and then went out to other place to grab foods to fulfill my satisfactory. Lost potential customer. Edited due to misspelled and corrected grammatical

I have my go to places in my neighborhood and this isn’t one of them, so I thought I would give it another try. Carnitas street taco– 4 stars Pastor and chicken street taco– 3.5 stars Steak street tacos– 2.7 its hard to mess up a street taco if the meat is good and this steak was really weak. Steak super burrito– 2.5 and had no flavor Salsa is not good and the chips are nasty. I won’t be back and If you come here try a chip by its self and chew it longer than you normally would and see what it tastes like.

My son was in Antelope for the day, I was driving through Sacramento and it was his birthday, so I asked him to pick someplace to meet for lunch. He went to Unilocal(I’m so proud – I taught him well) and found this Mexican restaurant. I got there first and my first impression was that I thought it was closed. The chairs in the middle of the restaurant have really high backs that make the room seem smaller(it already is) and due to the back height; it seemed as the chairs were on the table for cleaning at first glance. I chose a booth and ordered a melon wine margarita while I waited. The marg was not bad for being wine instead of tequila. They also have a salsa bar with different salsas. I ordered the taco salad with al pastor(my favorite ever since I lived in Mexico, but never the same here as it isn’t a pig over a fire being trimmed piece by piece as it bbqs). It was ok. The guacamole seemed packaged and the flavors were just ok.(I took it home and ate it later. The al pastor and beans were better later. Maybe I just wasn’t hungry enough?) My son’s friend ordered the spicy prawns and they were wonderful. My son ordered the prawns and steak fajitas. He said it was really good. They both finished their plates plus a side of enchiladas. I should have asked how the enchiladas were; they smelled awesome. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. That is always a plus. The prices are a little high for lunch in a strip mall but not so high that I wouldn’t go back.
