Always delicious. I do wish they delivered more. Cute little place. Love getting their pasta with the pesto ranch as my pasta sauce. Will definitely keep coming here. Excellent!

Good Pizza sit down place for pizza. My kids always want Pizza and I usually don’t so it’s nice that I can order some pasta. The salad isn’t just your normal basic salad; it has fresh tomatoes and olives and variety of mixed lettuce and spinach. The garlic cheese breadstucks were really good. Service was a little slow, but they are friendly and have pretty good prices for the amount of food you get. Could do without the flies though since we were sitting inside.

Delicious meal, solid ambiance, and wonderful customer service. We ordered the family meal of simply pasta with fettuccini, tomato cream sauce, and sausage. For the price, the food was delicious and plentiful. It also came with a side of garlic bread which was equally delicious. Overall, the meal was very pleasing and although it took a little time, was a must if you are in the area.

I’m giving this review 3 stars due to the fact their service sucks. The food is great. We have been there 2 times. First time was great experience. 2nd time wasn’t so great. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a cal zone and their calamari plate which comes with cheesy bread sticks… Well we waited for our apps and nothing so we assumed it would all come together. Nope. They gave us half an order after waiting and decided to wait longer. Looked to see if food was in the window nothing. So the server decided he would fill up my water and walk away. No no. Cancel that order of mozzarella sticks and we would like the rest of our food. Well we waited and waited. He brings the check with a hand written I. O. U… You serious?

The good –the food was decent for the price you pay. The pizza a tad on the salty side. –parking: plenty –got a table right away after we check in The bad –the long wait for food, we must have wait at least over 30 min before we got salad not even the main course yet –service not the worst but not the best either, people around us got major personal attention from some dude who worked at the restaurant but not us. I guess these were repeated customers but hey all customers should be treated equally with smiling faces :) at least i think so i work in customer service. –we never got ask how was the food perhaps it was a busy night, water was not refill, is it self serve? This was never explained. –got a wrong order pizza. I order chicken and garlic half but got something else vegetarian. I ordered to go a few time from here but this was a first sit down. The whole experience was not as enjoyable as i thought. What a bummer!

Great customer service. Food was prepared quickly but still enough time to each appetizers. My daughter and I shared a salad and she has the kids pizza pocket and I had the chicken piccata. Excellent size portions and delicious food. Didn’t give 5 stars because my daughter and I were freezing from the AC.

I have been here once before and everything was amazing so I was excited to order a few appetizers to go for Mother’s Day. I was SODISAPPOINTED! My cheese sticks(bread) was cold even though I had to wait an extra ten minutes for my order. The fried calamari was so disgusting I threw it away as soon as I got home. It was made from a(my guess a frozen calamari steak). It smelled so strong of «ripe» fish that by the time I got home my entire car reeked that I had to leave the windows open to try to get rid of the awful smell! Then when I tried to take a bite it was so rubbery I couldn’t bite through it!!! Needless to say being Mother’s Day, it was a great disappointment. I probably won’t return.

Service is awesome, atmosphere very relaxed. Waitress very knowledgeable about their GF menu and showed genuine concern. The gluten free cheesy bread is off the hook and could be a meal in its own, we had two different dishes both shrimp dishes one GF the other regular linguini noodles, was good over priced but good! We will be back but this time for either a calzone to split and two side salads or the cheesy bread and salads.

Ordered out & picked up our order — got the Gluten free(thin crust) pizzas to enjoy at home — and they were excellent. Lots of fresh toppings, and quality cheese /meats. Will be back for their sit-down experience; décor is very casual; but I just don’t like TVs in the corner. Kind of unsophisticated in my book. However, it’s not like you have to wear a suit jacket and the prices are pretty reasonable for this level of quality. UPDATEMARCH2016: I came back with a friend, and we had a great sit down meal at their humble location off of Roseville Rd. Inside of the restaurant is clean, but nothing fancy. Interior could use re-decorating as another user previously stated. My buddy and I ordered two orders of Chicken Parmesian, and my friend requested his with a pesto sauce instead of a traditional tomato sauce. Our cordial waitress asked the kitchen and they said that wasn’t a problem, which was very cool. We also had a couple of personal pizzas, and salads which we both enjoyed. With beers, and everything I think our tab came to around $ 77 — not cheap, but we did order a lot — and the food was worth it. This is well prepared, fresh and tasty traditional Italian food. Will definitely be back again.

I dined there October 4th, 2015 yeah I am a little tardy on getting my review written but I made notes on my receipt… I went there with two girlfriends for a moms night out. We went there based on their good reviews. The service was good, Jason was our server. The food was just ok though, needed more flavor. The desserts were the best part we got a Dream Bomba and Creamy Chocolate Something. Overall it was ok at best, I would rather go to Café Roma, Olive Garden.

I waited in line for about 10 minutes. The lady in front of me had finished placing her order and was just standing there. An employee walked up and asked her if she had been helped and she said yes. The employee looked at me and just walked away. To boot, there was another employee standing off to the side and looked at me and started to walk away. It was obvious that I was in line and hadn’t ordered yet. I asked him if it was possible for me to place an order. He made me feel like I was taking him away from more important things. I placed my order, paid, and waited for my food. I just couldn’t get over how rude I was treated so I asked for a refund. I got my money back but I was never even offered an apology. It doesn’t matter how good you claim your food is, if your staff is rude you won’t stay in business. I also found that their prices are high. A medium 2 item pizza was about $ 18. I can find a pizza that’s better than theirs, less money, with friendlier employees. I would not return.

While searching for the top Italian food restaurants in the Roseville, CA area, I stumbled across Taste of Tuscany in Unilocal and noticed the high rating which caused me to try this place. Upon our arrival in the parking lot, you could smell the aroma of garlic wafting in the air. I thought OK this is a good start. This place has outstanding food and exceptional friendly and attentive service. Sure it is a locals hole in the wall place but who cares about the plain décor when the food is great and the place is clean. You can’t eat the décor. We came here on a Tuesday night and it was constantly busy. I don’t think all these people on Unilocal are wrong. I think Vito Corleone would like this place. The high rating this restaurant earned is truly deserved. A clever item on the back page of the menu is the build your own pasta options. I tried the Tomato Basil soup. It took a while for the soup to come but I found out it is made to order, but boy it was sure worth the 10 minute wait as the soup was excellent(5STARS). My friend had the house salad and it was good. My friend had the shrimp carbonara over linguine and he rated it a solid 4+ stars. All pasta dishes come with a cheesy garlic breadstick that is made to order, huge and very delish(5 stars). I had the spaghetti and meatballs with the creamy tomato sauce(5 stars). Let me tell you it was the bomb!!! The meatballs were moist, juicy, and flavorful and you could tell they used pork, veal, and beef in the meatballs which means it was properly made. The fresh pasta was perfectly cooked and the creamy tomato sauce was extraordinary and not herby. I don’t understand how some people think the serving size was not adequate. This was definitely NOT the case. This is truly a hidden gem for local people and I will be definitely coming back. Next time, I will try the calamari steak picatta over linguine. This place is for fresh pasta lovers, calzone eaters, and pizza eaters. Usually I only write reviews after at least a couple of visits but, in this case, because everything was excellent, I wrote this review after just one visit.

Nice little hole in the wall. I didn’t realize how long they have been serving in Antelope. If business is going strong, then they could definitely use some help with interior decorating. Sports fans might have to squint, if you know what I mean. We visited on a Friday night around 7:30pm and waited only 5 minutes to be seated. We ordered the Mona Lisa and a custom calzone(marinara with mushroom, bell pepper, bacon, and pepperoni) to share — we liked the calzone better, though. The cheesy bread was tasty and I’ve heard great things about their desserts. I would come back for that, and also to give the pizza a try. I didn’t really mind waiting 20 minutes for our orders because the food was so fresh! The customer service was above average and happily accepted my Unilocal check-in discount.

I come to this place every now and again. Their décor is super cute, they get so busy that they need extra seating sometimes. I love the olives they use in the salad– but not such a huge fan of the pure dark greens– but totally healthier than my normal salad. Everyone that eats here loves their pasta. Go for lunch time they have the best deals!

When it comes to Italian food in the Sacramento area, I generally stay within the grid(Midtown and Downtown Sacramento). However, sometimes its worth the drive to venture out of my normal dining zone. And since this place is still within the Sacramento city limits(more along the lines of being in the Antelope/North Highlands area), I figured why not give it a try? Which takes us on a trip up Interstate 80 to a «Taste of Tuscany». Located on Roseville Road and close to Antelope Road, a «Taste of Tuscany» is definitely a hidden gem. At first glance, you would never even think this place existed. I sure didn’t until I saw a high number of positive Unilocal reviews. Once I glanced at the photos, prices, and reviews, I knew I just had to give this place a shot. I came here on a late-Sunday afternoon with my fiancée and our friend for what would be an early dinner. Parking was a breeze as no matter what time of day, you should never have a problem finding a close spot. Once we entered the building, we are pleasantly surprised by the aromatic flavors of garlic, basil, and oregano. It definitely smelled like my mom’s kitchen as it had that distinct Italian feel to it. And the inside was fairly spacious with several tables that can accommodate large parties. There was also an impressive wine collection and several TV’s for viewing the games. One key thing that we particularly liked about a «Taste of Tuscany» was the service. It was top-notch as our server was quick, prompt, and very helpful. The menu itself offered a wide variety of options; everything such as your traditional pastas and even several pizzas, salads, calzones, and sandwiches. As I wasn’t craving anything as filling as a pasta dish, I decided to order their«Turkey Pesto Delight Sandwich»(for $ 6.49). This included their signature turkey breast meat complete with homemade pesto, mozzarella cheese, light mayonnaise, tomatoes, and baby greens all nestled in warm focaccia bread. I also opted for a side salad(for $ 2.99) with Italian dressing to complete my order. The first thing to come out was warm cheesy bread that absolutely hit the spot. Our server that took care of us also included complimentary marinara and alfredo sauce. And once the three of us devoured the cheesy bread, she brought out a 2nd at no charge! The best part of this was that once we were done eating the bread, our main entrees came shortly thereafter! My sandwich was a very generous size. The bread tasted as if was just baked while the mozzarella cheese was oozing out to perfection. And the turkey breast had the right about of substance while being moist yet flavorful. In fact, this entire sandwich was too much for me to finish as I took my 2nd half to-go. I will say, trying a place off the beaten path definitely was worth the drive. The prices are lower than anywhere you would find in Midtown Sacramento and Roseville while the overall quality of the food was above average. The only reason why I didn’t rate this 5-stars was that the food was a tad bit on the salty side. Not a big deal but the portions didn’t skimp at all. I will try a «Taste of Tuscany» again as some of their signature pizzas look like they’d be well worth trying. Definitely a good find!

I wish I could give Taste of Tuscany 10 stars… that’s how truly good the food is. You know you’re in love with a restaurant when you are already imagining the review you’ll write and the people you want to tell about the restaurant and the people you want to bring back. Seriously this place is amazing and my new favorite restaurant. I’ll say now, the person who waited on us was Jason and he was wonderful, attentive, helpful with menu choices and always there to lend a laugh and smile. Thank you Jason for making our first experience at Taste of Tuscany so wonderful. I hope to be back soon to see you. First, we ordered the garlic cheese breadsticks, what makes this dish so excellent is the bread, clearly home made fresh and cooked to perfection. But what takes it over the top are all the sauces they bring with it. The marinara, OMG off the hook delicious. Just the perfect combination of salty sweet and tomatoey, is there such a word? They also bring a pesto ranch and regular ranch, all of them amazing. I loved dipping in the marinara and then the ranch. Jeremy loves pesto so he was enjoying that sauce. I tried to stop eating the breadsticks, we ordered a lot of other food. But seriously I could not stop, we ate the whole plate. One of the specials of the day was bacon mac & chesse in a skillet — wow… sounded like delicious comfort food to me. I ordered it. Our server, Jason was so funny. He says’ not the most traditional dish but certainly delicious. Jeremy ordered a personal large calzone with veggies and chicken. We also ordered a large pizza, I wanted to try the pizza and it was Jeremy’s idea to get a large to take some home. I am so glad we did because today at home I’ve already been enjoying it, warm and cold. Jeremy also ordered a salad which was for one person but they brought two plates and we both enjoyed it. The bacon mac & cheese in a skillet came in a cast iron dish, covered with crunchy bread crumbs. The title alone can assure you of the deliciousness. Seriously so delicious. All of the food was delicious. Today I had some of the left over bacon mac & cheese, it was even better than yesterday. Today I had some of the pizza, warmed up and cold. What makes the pizza so delicious is the crust. I’m a crust snob. I want a crust that isn’t too thick but it has to be thick enough to hold up the toppings, I don’t want my pizza hanging from the weight of the toppings. OMG the pizza is so darn delicious. I hope you will give this place a try, I know you won’t be disappointed. Truly wonderful amazing food and excellent service. I hope I can go back real soon.

First of all we liked the deal of $ 5 off of $ 25 meals if you check in on Unilocal. This time I liked my husbands lunch better vs mine! He ordered tomato basil soup which was delicious and good portion too. Then he ordered turkey pesto sandwich. And I have to say that I really liked it. I’m usually not a big fan of sandwiches period! But thus was so good! The bread super fresh and crispy. Combo of pesto with turkey go so well. I recommend! On the other hand my meal was pretty blend I started with personal small salad which was so tasteless and tomatoes didn’t taste fresh. I also ordered white clam sauce linguine. Clams were out of can! Yuck! The whole dish tasted blend. I would not recommend this to no one. Pasta came with cheese sticks which always taste amazingly delicious! Might come back for that sandwich and breadsticks
