Looks like they changed their name. They used to be known as Roberto’s as seen in the photos. One of my favorite places for a carne asada burrito. Fresh everything, bottled Mexican Coke, it’s a must stop at anytime passing by Anthem, AZ.

They decide when they want to be open even though they have days and hours posted. Super stingy with the salsa. I order almost $ 40.00 worth of food and got 5 small mini containers of salsa. You can pay for more if you want more… Really? What Mexican restaurant does that.

This is by far one my favorite go to Mexican restaurants. Everyone here is SO friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent. Every time I go I get the tacos and they are so yummy. The breakfast burritos are also worth trying!

I am from New Mexico so it is not quite fair that I judge the Mexican food out here. This food is very average. Don’t go out of your way to try this, but if you’re in the neighborhood. Stop by. This food is not up to par with my taste buds. But you may think it’s wonderful.

Really good food for something fast and I like having an inexpensive margarita while I wait! Fun!

Love this place. Anytime we are in Anthem we make a stop. I’m originally from Northern Cali and love the hole in the wall Mexican joint that cranks out great food and this is the only place I’ve found that fits the bill. Consistent and delicious. I am a huge fan of their carnitas plate. It’s cooked to perfection. The staff is great as well. Very nice and personable. Ordered two extra burritos to go for Football Sunday.

Heard about this place from Diners, dives, and drive-ins. They were originally located off of 7th and union hills and have moved to Anthem. If you ask my son the Chorizos, eggs, and papas burritos are the best. The staff is friendly. Can be busy sometimes. The mexican pizza is excellent. They are closed on Sunday. Sorry no burritos or menudo for football.

This is my new favorite Mexican place when I’m traveling north from Phoenix. My favorite food is Mexican food. This place does not disappoint. For the price and quality you can’t beat it. This place is super clean and the people are friendly. This place featured on food network so I had to try it. It looks like they have upgraded from a gas station restaurant. It’s always a bonus when the owners are working at the restaurant and meeting the customers.

Been going for years. Everything on the menu has been great. Staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Place gets too busy sometimes, but they manage to make the best of it. Owner and his family are awesome.

Ok, most stuff I have had is OK! But I adore the chicken chimichanga, red enchilada smotheted style. Their enchilada sauce has cinnamon or nutmeg or something special in it that just makes my taste buds sing! My hubs loves this dish too and he is a beef eater at heart. My girly likes the quesadilla, but to be honest, Chipotle has the best chicken quesadillas. Their salsa is tasty. The portions are large. It’s worth a try, but go for the chicken chimi.

I used to go here almost daily until I was driving home eating a burrito because I was starving and I found this huge long hair that I never went back. Food is delicious though. They need to wear hair nets.

I REALLY wanted to love this place after my foodie husband raved about it after having seen them on TV. I was hoping for a hole-in-the wall, amazing food, cheap eats kind of place. I tried them three times to see if I was just there on a bad day. I finally went there to try the tamales, but of course it was a day they didn’t have them. Bummer. They did have a super delicious margarita, though! As a business owner, I hate to be too critical of another person trying to make a living running a business, so I am glad for the great reviews and the people who really enjoy Roberto’s. I just wasn’t one of this people. I wish them the best, though.

When we walked in to Robertos, friendliness of the wait staff was evident! Very clean! Chips and salsa very authentic and fresh! The Mexican Pizza is delicioso, but I could not eat it all! I will come back when I make my next trip to Anthem, AZ.

Came here for the first time after watching Guy Fieri’s show! The staff were friendly and nice but the food was a little bit on the pricier side. The fish taco combo was a good size, the tacos had a lot of filling in them and the fish was fried perfectly, but lacked a bit of flavour. I asked for hot salsa, but the salsa was everything but spicy! Overall the food was good, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best Mexican place I’ve been.

Fresh fast Mexican! Maricris is really sweet at the counter. Margaritas for $ 4.95? Can you say YES!!! Beer is on ice. My $ 6.99 chicken taco salad is HUGE and came w sour cream and guacamole! My honey’s combos plate(taco, tostada) is crisp and tasty w rice and beans. The mild salsa has great flavor and the spicy salsa actually has a bite and is making my nose run. Wish we had a place like this back in Oregon! The only tip I have to offer is that they put a picture of a margarita in their window and on the menu bcuz we wouldn’t have ordered one if Maricris hadn’t mentioned it. :)

Pretty gosh darn delicious. All of our food was inhaled quickly. The Pico de Gallo was yummy as was the food. I had the chimicanga which was yummy and piping hot all the way through. $ 4.50 margarita was refreshing. Loved that they served it to me in an actual glass with a salt rim. They obviously know what’s important in life. I’m pretty sure the owner took our order. He was such a nice guy and easy to talk to, if only for the few minutes while ordering. We waited about 10 minutes for our food(besides the chips and salsa) which felt much longer than I had expected for this place but it was worth it.

We were in the area and wanted some good Mexican(having settled for just ‘ok’ Mexican food the day before and decided to give this place a try given the strong number of good reviews. I ordered a chicken chimichanga and my wife got a taco salad with shredded beef. You order the food at the counter and have a seat and they some how figure out who to bring it to when it is done. we were here at noon on a Saturday and the place was pretty busy so It took a bit of time to get our food but the staff was hustling. There is not a ton of seating but things seemed to turn over quickly so no one had to stand and eat. Lots of locals eating here from kids on their way home from sports to families and seniors. The food was pretty good, but not as flavorful as their name implied but decent value. They seem to be doing a good business in this spot.

The glowing Unilocal reviews brought me here and it was good but not(in my opinion) deserving of the rah-rah-rah. Note that this is an order-at-the-counter type of place as opposed to a restaurant-restaurant. My fish tacos were tasty although a bit bland. The actual fish was delicious and well prepared but the tacos themselves could have used a little zing. I did add the salsa that was given to us and that helped but it still felt like it missing something.

So we came in as a buddy said you have to try this place the El pastor rocks! I said ok Ill try it. Wow not good! First off I have to give them a 4 for service. Would have got a 5 but I had to ask for my chips after waiting 5 min. I mean really I have to wait then remind you to give them to me. First Fail! Got our food and I was not impressed at all when it came to the meat. NO I mean NO flavor in the El Pastor. I mean really Guy Fieri Has been here. This was horrible. How can any one say its good. My partner ordered chicken. it was OK until she got a large BONE! I mean really a bone!!! The manager could only say«Oh we try and check for that but oh so sorry» This was all you could say? I mean pay for our meal make it better dont change the subject and talk about the kids. FAIL! You own this place and want people to return? Not like this you wont. You fail here and BAD! I will never come back here or recommend any one eating here!
