They definitely cut back on some of the products they use to have. There was some remodeling done of the aisles but this store is still as dirty as it was before. Plenty of aisles had open and half eaten containers of food sitting on the shelves. They carry a good amount of everyday items as well as some exotic snacks and drinks you can’t find at any other $ 1 store.

The store looks great the way it was changed around… however, customer is still poor!

Today I went to the 99cent store to grab butter for my program, as I was waiting in line, the guy ahead of me checking out did not put a bag of grapes on the counter. The cashier said, «sir you forgot the grapes.» All of a sudden the guy freaks out«its cuz I’m black huh…» He starts cussing her out for like 3 minutes… screaming at this young lady going completely bizerk. she remained calm & The girl finally calls a manager. The manager comes up «what did you say to him? Why is he upset?!» I then tell the manager, «she didn’t do anything! He went off on her!» then I told the girl«don’t worry about it.» That was just insane… The poor clerk was doing her job. A manager should have their employees back…

I am very impressed how clean, organized, well stocked, and great variety of products they have. The staff works very hard, are friendly, and do an excellent job. Thank you! :-)

I love this store. Always finding a bargain here, whether it be a gallon of PEAK Ice Tea, to delicious bag of cuties(tangerines). It’s always clean, fully stocked. the only reason I give 4 stars, the staff is off-standish and very SLOW. Lines are generally long especially in the beginning of the month(EBT reloads). nothing against that, I’m on foodstamps myself to feed my family.

What’s better than a dollar store? A $ 0.99 store. What’s the same? All the crazies that frequent the store… Wait, *I* frequent this store!

This is my go-to dollar store. The aisles are kept clean and they are always well stocked. I can usually find all kinds of stuff, and never leave without a few bags full. This place is especially great for kids items and seasonal items. Much better than Dollar Tree across the street.

I needed to stock up on some emergency supplies for my family in case a devastating earthquake like the one in Japan happens in the Bay Area. Mother Earth should not be taken for granted. The«Ring of Fire» is making it’s rounds. 99 Cent Only stores can help you prepare for major emergencies economically.

The 99 cent only store is great to go to if you’re looking for something you’d normally find at a dollar store — think aspirin, scissors, pencils, general office or cleaning supplies(although I’m not sure how environmentally friendly the cleaning supplies are) and yes, even fresh fruit and vegetables(supposedly delivered on Tuesday). Of course, most people that shop there are poor, extremely so — poverty — but thats not going to make me stop shopping there.(I love it when people try to play the, «I don’t shop there because THEY do,» card.) Any who, the only reason I give it 3 out of 5 stars is for the customer service. Hire people who are friendly and personable. Your stores in Chico, CA and Concord, CA have very friendly employees. Shouldn’t be an issue to find some descent people, right?!

I love this store! I buy most of my holiday decorations here and they last a few years. Great price for the large amounts of veggies you get. I buy almost all of my kids school supplies here. I honestly go here at the very least twice a month for everyday/cleaning items. I always come out of the store with more than what was on my list. I’ve even bought Christmas gifts here.

I walked in here for the first time a few months ago. I was thinking it would be just another crappy dollar store I was wrong, this store is far superior to any other of its type i have seen. just a few of the items i bought here this week for 99 cents each 10 lbs. of potatoes 1 doz. large eggs 2 lbs bananas 32 oz soy milk 8 oz, Alaskan Pollock fillets 4 oz pacific sole fillets 15 pk kitchen trash bags 8 pk of Duracell AA battery’s,(expire in 2012) if you are on a budget, or just cheap(like me) you really should check this place out Very clean store, well stocked, well lit and plenty of parking
