This is our Antioch fav!!! We drive from Sacramento frequently to hit up our old favorite spot! Beans are creamy and delicious and this is the only place in town with flour chips!!!

We love Lil Man’s! It’s been our«go To» family restaurant for 25 years! Great food! Friendly servers and their drinks are strong! Sometimes we go just to shoot a game of pool or to have a drink and sit and talk. My sons have grown up eating here and now my grandkids! The chips and salsa are excellent and I’ve never been disappointed in their food!

Ordered delivery tonight from Little Manuel’s. Only a $ 3.75 delivery charge which was good. I ordered two entrees and asked for chips and salsa. My total was nearly $ 50! Not even eating in the restaurant is this expensive ever! I’ve eaten in the restaurant before and have always gotten chips and salsa free of charge. Apparently, ordering out of the restaurant means everything is an additional charge. Chips and salsa were each charged separately; $ 4 for a small bag of chips and $ 5 for a ½ pint of salsa. I was incredibly dissatisfied to find the bag of chips half-full and the salsa was literally ALLWATER with a few onions. Whenever I think of salsa, I think of tomatoes; it doesn’t seem the cooks at Little Manuel think the same. I called the restaurant and voiced my concerns; paying nearly $ 10 for chips and salsa and the salsa not being satisfactory. The employee had a lot of excuses as to why the salsa wasn’t good, but no solutions for the hassle I had endured. I work as a server at another Mexican restaurant and anytime a guest has a complaint, it is my job to offer a solution or ask a manager to aide in the situation to keep the guest happy. The guest should always leave happy. Moreover, chips and salsa at most other mexican restaurants are only $ 3 for both! Unfortunately, here at Little Manuel’s there was no manager or higher-up to speak with, so my dilemma was left unresolved. My family and I have been eating here nearly 20 years and I was really disappointed with the fact that no one seemed to care about keeping a customer. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and the lack of food quality and the outrageous prices have lost them my families business.

After spending 6 days in the hospital all I could think of eating was a kick ass super wet burrito from little manuals. However it’s been quite a long time since I had been there and the quality of service has completely disappeared. The meal arrived at my door 1 hour an 25 minutes later. The driver claimed he has no change, then when be pulled the food out my burrito,(that I had wanted so bad), was smashed an spilling out if the tray, the sides were cold an hard. The salsa was everywhere but in the cups. The driver suggested he take the money an return later ?! WRONG !! WHATHAPPENEDTOTHISPLACE? Little Manuals USED to be the best. Now they are the worse than taco bell. Such a huge let down. Unfortunately I have to give a rating, you may see 1 star, but I would give negative stars if I could. The service I received would make the founding family members cry.

Was on our way to Celia’s and decided to go here instead for lunch today. 3 adults and a baby. We sat in the waiting area for a good 10 minutes while the waitress waited on other tables, made eye contact with us each time and didn’t make an effort to acknowledge us. Finally my 14 year old son goes over and asks us for a table and she asks are you here for take out? No, we are here to eat, then she said go ahead and sit over there and points. Should have walked out then but decided to stay. Our actual server was good though slow. Food was ok but not worth the hassle. Very disappointed with the service. Should have gone straight and not turned right.

I feel like this place is one of those places where you either have a really good experience or a really bad experience. My visit to the restaurant I would say was diary pleasant but I’m docking one star because of consistency. The staff at the restaurant isn’t attentive but not really the kind of warmth or friendliness I’ve grown accustomed to after visiting Latin American and Central American countries. The Mexican food I wouldn’t say is extremely authentic but the portions are large and tasty. Not the kind of place I’d go out of my way to try again but if I’m in the area is give it another go.

This place could have some changes made overall I think what I liked the most was how attentive and nice the waitress was. She was super sweet and she checked in with us frequently. I just feel like they should of kept it Mexican instead of Mexican /Italian.

We frequent Little Manuel’s about once every couple of months. We know that it will take a little bit of time to be seated and a little extra time to be waited on but we enjoy the food. So tonight, we had incredible service. Heather is an amazing waitress. She offered up suggestions to enhance our food(oregano for the Pozole for instance), checked on us several times, and made suggestions for dessert. She went above and beyond. It’s rare to find such attentive and engaged wait staff these days. Plus, our food was served within a few minutes. It was really good. Kudos to Heather for a job well done!

We love going to Little Manuel’s especially on Tuesdays when kids get to eat for free. The food is always great! Our favorite waitress is Chrissandra. She always treats us so well and makes our experience that much better! My daughter actually gets very excited if we see she’s working :)

I came to Little Manuel’s on a cold Saturday evening for some early dinner. There weren’t a lot of people eating so it was nice and quiet. There were 2 guys playing billiard, one family dining behind us and another on out left. You have to wait to be seated, when we went inside there were no hostess, so we waited for about 2 minutes. After which we were given a booth. The inside is nice and clean, you get a some-what good view of the kitchen. We had a nice waitress, Kim, she was very patient, polite, and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. She helped me decide between 3 items that I was not sure of. I ended up getting Chilaquilla and pineapple juice. I was happy pineapple juice was very nice. It wasn’t freshly squeezed but I liked it. The Chilaquila was ok, it was too soggy. I have had better ones at the Mexican Food Trucks in Hayward. Overall, I haven’t had all the food on the menu to decide if they have good food or not. But I give them 4 stars for Kim(I hope this was her name) and her service. Definitely coming back to try more.

I was excited to try this place… Not anymore. The lady who took my order was rude, I mean RUDE. This was my first time ordering, she did not care, it seemed to agitate her. I asked the difference between a super burrito and a regular(thinking sour cream and guacamole, it was neither), she described the same items for both options. Despite my better judgement, given the already poor service, we ordered anyway. I ordered a super burrito, wet with the sauce on the side, light beams, add sour cream. Onion rings and curly fries, and a chimichanga for my mom. Her food looks done right thank God. The rest: burrito had sauce on top, no beans, no sour cream(although we were charged). Onion rings and curly fries are soggy and under cooked. I called back to speak to a manager, I was told none were there, to call back at 1130. A word of advice, it may be smart for my to stick around all the time. I’ll be calling to speak to a manager in the morning. Update: Carnitas Chimi was dry and the meat was dry and either over done or had been sitting under reheat all day. Smh.

All the bean dip and chips you can eat … and then your entrée comes! I always order the Manuels trio and end up taking two items home for lunch/dinner the next couple days. Great food and a good value.

I was excited to try out this place since a few weeks ago when someone told me the food was good. I called to place a phone order. I told the lady it was my first time ordering food from here.(she said nothing) I told her I wanted a burrito, so what kinds do you have. She remained silent for 5 – 7 secs and with an attitude she quickly ran thru the different types. As soon as she was done she asked me so what kind do you want. I ordered my food, added a drink and was surprised I was paying almost 12.00 for a burrito and a drink! But I was hungry and was excited to eat my burrito. I took a bite. It was filled with 75% rice and 25% chicken. A little bit of cheese and thats it. I asked for no beans, but I didn’t ask for a rice and chicken burrito either. The burrito was below average. This was my first experience and for sure my last. Juarez is across the street and 100 times better than this place. I would give this place a –1 star if possible.

Don’t know where to start but I’ll try. So my back been hurting so I decided to Order delivery because a delivery boy said they was good lie. so my girl get steak tacos the meat was tender but no flavor she said only the beans had a good taste. but the worst part was I call myself getting something that they couldn’t possibly get wrong I always do that the first time I try a new place. so I got the chicken strips and fries the fries were I’ve cold in the middle no flavor at all the chicken was something I can’t explain bit it was not chicken because I’ve been eating chicken all my life bit I can not identify the meat out was tougher then a bad steak hard like a stale piece of candy and to top it off it seem like they microwaved my whole meal. Bottom line is I won’t even look at this place when I drive by good luck with this place guys.

This restaurant is getting two stars because I haven’t dined in and I have only eaten one item. Here is my experience: I phone ordered a regular carnitas burrito for pick up. IIt cost me 6.50 and looked like something that should have come off the kids meal. I bit into this«burrito» and it was cold, bland, and only contained meat. I looked at the menu to see what I ordered and, granted, the menu indicates that the burritos only contain meat. But, the taste NOR the quantity were worth the price. I will not be giving it another shot.

Absolutely not satisfied, I ordered carnitas taco dinner to go. I was so hungry from shopping all day. I opened the container, took a bite of my soft taco & thought they gave me the wrong meat. I kid you not it tastes like beef liver, very dry and an after taste. I sifted through the meat and found clumps of hard gristle attached to the dried out meat. Foul odor, clearly the meat was old. I felt sick to my stomach after this experience, I paid $ 19.00 which was the dinner & two flans. I guess flan will be my dinner tonight. I only wish I could take a pic to show you the very poor quality.

Ehhh… Little Manuel’s is not the worst, but there are so many things that need improving. Some food items are good(Such as the shredded beef or chicken quesadilla & the veggie quesadilla). But some items are not worth the price(The all meat chicken burrito is NOT all meat. My last one was mainly rice which is very upsetting when I’m paying for all meat) The service is my least favorite part. All areas of the service. The servers are not attentive or particularly nice when you dine in. The delivery is SOSLOWWWW. I have had way too many complications with them, I’ve given up on it. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the food IS good sometimes. I just hope management looks at these reviews, negative and positive. This place has potential to be really great, but right now there are many adjustments to be made.

I came here to eat in their main food dining hall(not the bar) — I have to say this place is really pretty gross, I just ordered a quesadilla but the over-all vibe of the place feels like an old persons retirement home mixed with a dive bar. The people were nice, food was bleh, atmosphere is a total zero. If you want a good dinner and nice surroundings this place just isn’t it, I had high hopes because the parking lot is always full but now I know most people are here to get to the bar area.

We came here for a large Birthday Party in their banquet room. The restaurant itself is pretty big, so I was impressed that they also had this large room in the back. We first came in the front door, not knowing that the banquet area was in the rear of the building. We waited for any staff to direct us to the party. Several staff went by several times, avoiding the fact that they had customers at the door. One staff was probably 10 feet way from us, cleared off a table, went to the back, came back and cleaned off the table, and finally acknowledged us. They she directed us to the back. The banquet room easily can accommodate over 100 people. Half the room was set up with tables, the other half a dance floor. Set on the table were baskets of chips and salsa & bean dip in plastic to go containers. Both dips were both pretty good. They had a bar in the back to get drinks. Once the party started the wait staff served the plates. Tamale, enchilada, rice and beans, which were all just okay, I really liked the chicken taquitos. They have a nice parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking.
