With all the bad reviews, you would think this Steak ‘n Shake in Antioch was run by that commie moron barry odumba. Well, I went in at noon lunch rush hour and ordered a double burger and fries to go. I waited about 10 minutes. There was one waitress who was working her butt off and still asked me if I was helped, now that is service. My only complaint is that the buns are too big. It would be nice if they had burgers on toasted buttery sandwich bread instead.

Alright to start this off I consider myself a new age guy. And I came here to have some cheap eats with my new age friends. I waited well over 30 mins in the drive through just order and my poor new age friend was very hungry. Now if you don’t know new age people are very sensitive. Then when I had the chance to order, the bich ass lady behind the microphone was hella rude to me. Like damn I’m giving you my money. So if you want some cheap semi new age food go somewhere else. I feel so offended that I’m going to forever 21 tomorrow to buy another pink sweater.

I sat in the drive through at this location for 45 minutes before finally making it to the speaker window. I would t have waited this long, but nothing else was open on Christmas Day. I finally heard someone come over the speaker and say she’d be right with me. 30 minutes later, and no one came back to the speaker. I drove to the window and they had pulled the shades as if everyone went home. It baffles me a business can stay open with such horrible service.

Ate here for breakfast, and while the hot food was okay there were a litany of problems. 1st it was sloooooowwww. There were maybe three tables with customers, and it took almost 20 minutes to receive a fairly simple order of 2 breakfast tacos and a yogurt parfait. 2nd the tacos came to the table long before the yogert. Lastly, the waitress claimed she«couldn’t find the granola» for the parfait, and just sort of halfway apologized as she dropped it of. Pretty poor work.

Another trip to this location, another long wait. It’s as if they have a rule of only one person at a time can go through the drive through. Such a poorly run establishment.

If the corporate headquarters of Steak n’ Shake knew how poorly this place is run they would fire everyone and start over. My wife and I waited 20 minutes just to get a nod from someone, nada. There was only six other tables with customers. We got fed up and left. I strongly suggest a serious evaluation on this location. I will never go back to this place. EVER! Other places on this section of the highway is better, 360 burgers, sonics, even Burger King can defeat the quality of service of Steak n’ Shake.

If I could give a place zero stars I would. I was told to stay away from this location but didn’t listen. I paid the price. I sat at the drive through order box waiting for ten minutes to order because the attendant said she would be right with me. When she finally came back she informed me it would be ten minutes before I could even place my order. I left but I won’t be going back

Just stay away from this Steak N Shake. I’ve been to plenty of Steak N Shakes and many of them seem to be hit or miss(I’m assuming because of management and staffing). This one is DEFINITELY a miss. First, this restaurant advertises online that it is open 24⁄7(as most steak n shakes are), but if you actually go there past midnight you’ll find it’s doors locked tight. I didn’t think to check for an hours sign last time I was there, but I’m wondering if they took it down so they can close whenever they please. Secondly, as many other reviewers have said, the service is horrible. They may seat you fast enough, or tell you to find your own seat, but you’ll easily wait 20 minutes for a waitress to come by, and then another 40 minutes for your food. Don’t even think of getting a refill. I think that the Ihop next door is open 24/7, but I almost don’t want to recommend them either. I’ve been at least 3 times and it seemed to always be dirty and smell like a baby diaper was squeezed in some corner out of sight. Just, keep going down the highway and find something better. Avoid this area entirely.

Went into this location today & waited in line for about 15 minutes before being seated. There was apparently only one server working and she was swamped. Multiple tables still had their menus & no drinks. She explained to us she would be with us as soon as possible, but her co-server had just walked out without telling anyone & had apparently quit. She apologized & we could tell she was sincerely in the weeds. We waited at our table for about 30 minutes and she was still taking orders for tables that were there before us, so we decided to leave. I’ve never had a problem with the food at this location, but management is definitely an issue. There should’ve been more than two servers scheduled for a busy Sunday, and when they saw the server struggling, they should’ve helped with order taking or at least drinks. The manager kept his back to the dining room and was(very casually) cooking at the grill. Needs new management & more staff working shifts to speed service along. I don’t blame the server for today, I blame management.

This place is an absolute joke and will never get any more of our business. My parents, who live just a couple miles away, finally swore this place off after getting the order wrong countless times(evidently the girl could differentiate between a bean crock and a sprite…). Despite this, my family decided to stop by and grab dinner on the way to my parents house. After telling the girl at the drive thru 6 times the first order(#2, plain with a vanilla shake… not difficult…) he asked for someone else to take the order. After sitting there for another few minutes in silence, we finally pulled out of the drive thru and my husband went inside to order. He asked for the manager to tell him what happened. The manager proceeded to tell him ‘I don’t give a F*#^ what you’re saying.’ Are you serious??? I’m not the biggest advocate for the customer is always right, but what manger/supervisor thinks it’s appropriate to swear at a customer? That’s the last they’ll see of us.

Worst service ever. I’m in the drive-thru right now and I’ve sat here for ½ hour. The only reason I stayed is because I was wanting Steak and Shake and this is the only one I’ve seen near Nashville. They should be ashamed.

We waited 10 minutes for someone to seat us and the tables were wide open. We finally were taken to a seat and the table, floor, seats were so dirty we walked out. The booth was slid off to the side and there was trash inside.

Not sure what’s going on at this location everyone arguing over who’s job it is. They might want close this location like target because it’s totally unorganized. Was good when I stared coming here but now it has went down hill. The waitress that helped us wasn’t even assigned to us they need new management or something or there going to lose a lot of customers. People waiting 15 minutes to be seated before we walked in.

This is the most close Steak n Shake to us and we are new to them. The first time we went thru the drive-thru all went well and we loved the food. However, the next two times it took sooooo long to even take our order we had to give up and leave. Waiting ten plus minutes to even take an order is unacceptable and that with the first time NOONE in the line and the second time only one person. We certainly cannot justify going there again and have better things to do with my life than to «please hold on a moment» which apparently means something very different to me than to them.

It seems like every time I come in the place And I love the food I worked there before There’s something in the tea… We’re there not cleaning out the container Or just not making new tea throughout the day And I usely just drink it but I started looking in the glass… and it has happened today …for the 3th time…

I personally LOVE steak and shake but quite frankly this location SUCKS! I’ll never eat here again. We spent 30 min in drive through line. The girl working the drive thru had NOCLUE what was going on… she forgot to ring up entire orders. The food was prepared incorrectly. She even held up the shake trying to look through the styrofoam cup to see what type of shake it was. Totally clueless! Poor service. Shake was runny once we got it and even it was the wrong shake!!! Obviously poor management. Never Again will I ever eat at this location!

I normally like Steak ‘n Shake, but today had disastrous service facilitated by absentee management. My daughter said her cheeseburger tasted awful, and I discovered that they used spicy pepper jack cheese instead of American like the menu says. I told the waitress and she matter-of-factly said, «We don’t have American cheese.» No apology, no concern. It wasn’t a mistake at all — the staff simply decided to substitute pepper jack without telling us. They also left off the American cheese from my melt without telling me. It was supposed to have a slice of Swiss and a slice of American, but it just had one slice of Swiss. We sent back my daughter’s food and waited. And waited. And waited. I slowly nibbled at my lunch and finished the whole thing before her cheese-less burger arrived. It’s standard in the restaurant business to put a rush on redoing a botched order. Not this place. While my daughter sat there with no food to eat, she watched the other patrons and decided we were the lucky ones. Even though there were empty tables, the staff was incapable of dealing with it. One table walked out after getting their drinks because they got tired of waiting. Another table canceled their order because of the wait. Two groups of people got frustrated and left without being seated. Many people looked like prairie dogs, sticking their heads up, looking around for help, to no avail.
Where was the manager all this time? You know, the guy who’s supposed to keep up with inventory and order the American cheese that’s a crucial ingredient in most of the meals they serve? The one who’s supposed to train the servers how to take care of customers? It turns out that he was flipping burgers the whole time. While I admire a manager who pitches in where needed, the entire front of the house crashed and burned while he was standing in front of the grill.

Rating pertains to THISLOCATIONONLY. I love Steak n Shake. The burgers are delicious, the shakes are delicious, and this is the only place I know that does Cincinnati chili more than a hundred miles or so from Cincy. Every other one I’ve ever been in was: a) spotlessly clean. Tidy to a fault. Gleaming. NOT here. Needed sweeping and mopping badly. b) had snappy service. service here was slow coming, and laboriously chatty once underway. I’m not an unfriendly guy… but… make with the food already.

I went to the drive thru and didn’t have a problem. Transaction ran smoothly. Rusty was the person at the Window and saw my little sitting the back and gave her one of the their hats and a little paper car. She enjoyed it very much. I ordered fries with no salt and brownie Sunday both were delicious fries were fresh and Sunday was awesome. Customer service made me give this place 5 stars. Never gave a tip at drive thru but this was first for his attentiveness and friendliness.

Nope. This restaurant is a nope. I have patronized this restaurant more than once, almost always through the drive –thru. But a couple weeks ago, I tried again for breakfast. The last 2 times they said that they were closed due to their shift change. I finally got to order, a regular sausage biscuit. It took dang near 10 minutes and I was the only person in line. I asked for mustard, the guy said«Ok» and walked away. Never came back. I was on my way to work, and I made it to the school zone near that slow line at stop sign at the Antioch Pike intersection. Bit into my biscuit, and it was cold in the middle. Like, fresh out of the refrigerator cold in the middle. I call them. They give me the manager, who says«I just cooked that. It can’t be cold.» He says to bring it back, and I explain that I’m halfway to work in rush hour traffic. He says«Ok. Thanks.» So the rude guy in the drive — thru with the gold tooth and the attitude WAS the manager. And he didn’t offer to take my name and fix it the next morning or anything. Basically called me a liar and left it at that. I was disgusted so I called the corporate office. They basically were like«He did what girl?! Oh no he didn’t! Let us call you back». And then they didn’t call back. The end. Short summary: Don’t go here. Don’t waste your money.
