regardless of the term«grocery» in the name, I have rented from them on several occasions and have always found them to be fair in price, in responsiveness, and helpfulness. It has recently been somewhat reorganized to remove the somewhat disheveled appearance from its’ original look – but it is great for a move and the things needed to facilitate the move! What else do you want?

I can’t deny that it’s a «grocery store» because there are definitely«groceries» in there to be bought. Items and things and stuff. But it more looks like a grocery store in the making. Or a convenience store that might happen someday. Lots of wide open space and that just-moved-in look seems particularly permanent. I went in there to use the ATM and pick up something for my car. The machine was busted and they didn’t have what I was looking for. So, I browsed around and still didn’t find anything interesting. I’m going to be frank with you here and just admit that this is the most useless«grocery store» I’ve ever seen. Before going here, consider just staying home or maybe go to your friend Bob’s house instead. Go through his things for a few minutes and you might come across something you want for free before you’ll find anything anyone needs at Center Street Grocery.

I bought a trailer hitch from this store. I tried it on and did not work for my vehicle. I went back to return and manager told me he would not give me my money back. Very rude, he took back the product and never gave my money back. He is also way overpriced. The hitch he sold was $ 40. I went to Raleigh and it was selling at $ 28. The Raleigh U haul let me choose 3 hitches and try them before I settled one that fit my vehicle. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. Worst customer experience in my life(Im 38 years old).

An odd store. It’s called a grocery store, but it’s more of a convenience store. Sort of. If the definition of groceries includes cardboard boxes and renting trucks and dollies to move those filled boxes, then it’s perfectly named. Otherwise, don’t expect a traditional food-grocery store. Center Street actually worked well enough for me. I wanted a soda, but didn’t want to stop at a gas station or a supermarket. I was in and out of the store in less time than it would have taken me at either of those places. Don’t be thrown by the inside. It’s seems almost empty, with a few coolers on the right side, with more than the usual types of drinks, an aisle of snack foods, a few single-serve canned items, and a microwave in the corner to heat them with. On the left side are the ready to be assembled boxes, the dollies, tape, string, and all kinds of moving supplies So I guess Center Street is a grocery store, after all. It has everything you’ll need for a busy day of moving, from food to truck rentals.
