What a quaint old fashioned ice cream parlor. The owner and workers were very friendly and helpful. They let us taste any flavor before we made our order. We ordered a regular size thick milkshake in coconut chocolate almond. It was delicious. We loved the OLD days feel of Ol’ downtown Apex!

The only dessert option in downtown; Hershey’s! Seriously? Anyone can get this in any grocery store. Can the town at least put a real Home Made Ice cream in place instead of this. 2 stars is strictly for the customer service.

Perfect place to wind down a Sunday with the family. Our kids have a peanut allergy so this was a concern. The kid working was more than willing and very helpful as he had to actually remove each container of ice cream so that we could check the labels. I don’t normally tip someone just scooping ice cream but he deserved it this time. Ice cream was as expected delicious. Great place to enjoy a nice evening.

Been here a handful of times, noticed questionable sanitary practices. The ice cream is Hersey’s so it’s good but the same you could get at the grocery store. Probably wouldn’t come back and couldn’t recommend it.

The inside felt weird to me(crowded) and I wasn’t thrilled with my expectations of what a clean ice cream shop was, or any food establishment should be based on my observations of unsanitary/no hand washing practices after the employee ran his fingers through his hair. Upon asking the employee if he washed his hands, the response was something about using hand sanitizer as a method of cleaning ones hands, which I did not even observe during my visit today. Regardless of this being a local shop or not, the ice cream is Hershey’s(nothing special) and I would rather go somewhere clean where the ice cream is unique and something that I can’t get from a grocery store and eat at home.

This is a great little ice cream shop right in downtown Apex. The place reminds me of the kind of shop I went to as a kid. The ice cream is made by Hershey and it does have a different texture and feel than store bought ice cream. It tastes better too. The customer service was really good. The person working there seemed to be a college student but he was very nice and great with the kids. He actually seemed to enjoy working there which is a nice change from other places I’ve been. If you’re in Apex and are looking for a tasty treat checkout this place.

Stopped in again for some ‘scream. With some friendly help, I came up with THE most delicious combo … three scoops … one vanilla kind with coconut and chocolate … then some kind of capaccino with chocolate … and finally … chocolate with peanut butter chunks. Oh dear God, it was heaven en mi boca!!!

Brit has been a loyal Goodberry fan for decades. Walking into this place changed that. The shop is pretty no-nonsense. A couple small tables up front with an L shaped display case. The ice cream is smooth and rich. Service is always attentive and friendly.

Who doesn’t like ice cream? Especially Hershey’s ice cream! The Ice Cream Shop is a great choice if you have a sweet tooth or some kids! It’s really kid friendly with a chalkboard tabletop and colorful flavors, but also accommodating to adults and teens. It’s a great place to take a date for something sweet or get dessert. I recommend the Mint Moose Tracks. It’s tame, but has all that chocolate that you crave after a long day.

A classic ice cream shop. Located in the middle of the block in downtown Apex, this ice cream shop has a big assortment of ice cream(I counted at least 18 flavors) packed into a small shop. The Ice Cream shop has only 3 or 4 tables, plus a small child’s table, so it can be pretty busy on a hot day or when the local teams take a break after the game. If you come at the right time, you can grab a seat, relax, people watch, and, best of all, enjoy some some real ice cream.
