A great meal and hangout for young and old alike. Large menu and great pizza. Been a regular for 20+ years!

Heart attack waiting to happen. Eat here. Locals think this place is wonderful. Travel a small distance and get better. How difficult to put 78 cents worth of pasta, throw on canned sauce, and then top with cheese and melt. I will give you the salad is good, but again iceberg lettuce. Watch the staff. They like to ‘sample’ as cooking. Where have those hands been? Also, went to the restroom, and one female staff person with long bushy somewhat curly hair did not wash her hands when leaving. Old, dark and out of date restaurant.

Pizza is pizza right? NOT. The pizza was one of the best I’ve eaten. The crust was perfectly risen with just the right amount of sauce beneath our toppings. The cheese was high quality and reached the edges. Delicious is not quite adaquate to describe the explosion of flavors. I also ordered a mini Greek salad. The serving size was plenty for two. Did I mention that we were seated promptly and served warm dinner rolls with SOFT butter packets? The real shock came when paying the bill. I expected to pay much more than we did. Thanks Peter for the excellent food, service, and smile.

This is literally the closest restaurant to my house. It is Greek owned and very well managed by a gentleman named Nick. He is a very hard worker and his staff also do a very good job taking care of their patrons. They have a very extensive menu with lots of items Greek Italian American etc. Susie is the best daytime server. Robbie is also good. On Tuesday and Thursday nights lookout! They always have something special planned like an Elvis impersonator her or something cool. Parking is a nightmare on Tuesday and Thursday but they will allow you to park in the grass if you need to. It is very kid friendly on one side and then a bar/lounge on the other side.

Nice place to have lunch. They have a pizza buffet daily for lunch. And also offer Greek food on their menu. I have had several dishes and all have been tasty. They have a large bar and karaōke area for late night people. The buffet pizza was decent, and tested fine, not the best, but not the worst, ha, and it was only like $ 7. This is a family owned and operated business, and they do a very good job at it.

Went with a very large group. Our table still had not been served when the rest of our group was finished and leaving. The owner, although did give a discount when pushed, was rude and unapologetic. Food was just ok but not worth waiting well over an hour for.

Love their Fri/Sat pizza special– large, 3 items. Décor needs to be updated and karaōke in bar area was a little too loud for the rest of the restaurant.

If you want fantastic Italian food, come here. If you want ambiance and swanky décor, do not come here. The service is great, and the food spectacular.

Stumbled upon here after getting a massage at the massage place next door(great place also!). I’m actually sitting here eating as I type. Initial observations, place isn’t much to look at from the outside but inside gives me a sense of comfort like I’m at my nona’s house with the wood paneling on the wall. I was seated immediately for lunch and ordered a cold mug of beer for a very reasonable price. The waitress also brought water without me asking for it(bonus points). The menu is extensive which allows for many people to choose different things. I opted for the lunch buffet of salad and pizza for an amazing price. The salad bar has a wide variety of choices and looked rather fresh which was welcoming. The pizza was probably not as fresh but I chose 3 separate types of pizza to get a feel for which one I liked most. The crusts all had a nice crisp texture with the perfect amount of chewiness. Probably could have laid off of the sauce a bit(a personal preference) but it had a nice spicy flavor. Overall my only problem was the temperature of the pizza, a bit cold but overall was a pretty good experience. I would love to have dinner here.

Nick & Alpha House are an institution in Apollo Beach. I love the pizza & salad buffet & have participated in it more times than I will admit. The smell of hot fresh pizza… nothing else quite like it. The pizza is solid, thin crisp crust, hearty fresh toppings, robust sauce & plenty of cheese. Inside is a bit dated, with high partitions on one side of the restaurant. I love the bar area, nice & dimly lit, some booths, tables & decent sized bar. From the outside this restaurant is deceptive & appears smaller than it is. Beyond the bar is a dance floor and another dining room and past that a banquet room. Go ahead & park in front or back or wherever you can squeeze in. The salads are fresh, crisp, light and inviting. The lasagna, parmigiano dishes, pastas… are like grandma made. All very tasty, not overly spicy just spot on good! Everything appears to be made from scratch except the noodles(actual pasta). Clean, typically friendly, family owned restaurant, that has withstood the test of time & keeps going. The prices are fair & the portions are generous. What’s a girl to do? Love pizza, love Italian & other cultural food, the journey is part of the enjoyment.

I was in town on business and found this place on Unilocal.I was impressed by the authentic cuisine and of course the price. I actually went back 2 days in a row. Apparently They have an Elvis impersonator which I didn’t get to see but how cool is that?!? The bar next door has music a few nights a week and I just love the hometown feel of this place. The staff is so friendly and you can tell they have been working there forever. At lunch time they have a salad and pizza buffet and I asked for a specific kind of pizza they didn’t have out and they made it for me! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town!

Decided to order the spaghetti and meatball special my husband had the ravioli unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the sauce is very ketchup tasting to us. I didn’t want to give it any less stars because the salads are very good but I definitely no we can cook better pasta at home.

My family was looking to eat out on a Friday night where we could enjoy a nice meal plus be able to talk to one another. Italian cuisine was agreed on. We had only eaten at Alpha once prior to today’s visit. We were very pleased that we came today. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff. Our server was engaging, funny & very attentative. The appetizers were excellant. A generous amount of stuffed grapes leaves smothered under 2 large slices of feta accompanied by a nice amount of kalamata olives. The loaded chips were house made potato chips smothered in jalapeño with drizzled cheese. 2 of our party ordered the spaghetti w/sausage & both were quite pleased. I ordered the lasagna & also was very satisfied. This is not fancy dining. Its a mom & pop local restaurant that has good meals at very reasonable prices. The outdated décor makes it more fun. The adjoining room had karaōke & we enjoyed hearing some really off pitch singing. I was hoping for an Elvis sighting. We had a very enjoyable night out & will be back again.

This place may not be the most updated but there is a historic feel there. A local, beachy and family feel. I liked their food and wine specials. The spaghetti is so big 2 or 3 people could eat 1 serving. The attached bar area has polka or other live music and Snowbirds often frequent so it is fun to see the Sr. Citizens dancing, drinking and carrying on. The service was always personal and they always gave me extra bread to take home. I miss this place, I consider it an ‘off the beaten path diamond in the rough’.

My hubbie and I have lived in the Apollo Beach area since Alpha was one of about 4 places to eat. We appreciate their food and service has always remained consistently good. It’s an older building that hasn’t been remodeled, but their always friendly staff and food are what keep us coming back. Hubbie and I always share a large Greek salad… they put large chunks of ham and the best tomatoes on top! Then we usually share a pizza. They make them fresh, whatever toppings you like. Thank you Alpha House for always being a friendly place to have a good, inexpensive meal. You’re an oldie, but goodie! :)

So the food here is acceptable for«local everything» sort of place. But I’ve been doing takeout orders lately, and they always screw it up. Either it’ll be the wrong thing, or the wrong price, even after I’ve clarified on the phone the exact menu item I’m trying to buy. But this last time did it for me. I went to the counter to pick up some food, got greeted by the cashier, and then three(!!) people cut in front of me. The cashier didn’t say anything to them. Not a thing. And then they got my order wrong! Ugh.
