Do not buy the service plan. I bought a refrigerator and the service plan from my local Appliance Smart. Today the freezer and refrigerator completely died. I called in for service. The soonest I could get someone out to repair this is one week from now. No refrigerator for one week in the summer! The service lady that I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t seem to care at all that they are scheduled so far out.

Go somewhere else. Stay far away from Appliance Smart! I would give zero stars, but that’s not an option.
Our dishwasher bit the dust, so we wondered in just to see what they had and to compare prices. We found a model that matched our other appliances and asked if they had any in stock or if we’d be buying the floor model that was clearly missing a part. Sales guy ran back to check and returned informing us we’d be buying the display and the price included the display «discount».
He then tries to sell us on some $ 1600 dishwasher that’s on mega sale for $ 599. As he is talking to my guy, I’m doing research on it and the reviews are horrible. I tell the sales guy, that we really need to think about it based on reviews for this model and because it won’t match anything else we have. He goes on for 5 minutes about how subjective reviews are. I smirked at him. Dude, I KNOW. However, if they all say the same thing, let’s say the door falls off after three uses, then I wanna know.
I took pictures of a couple to compare with our current appliances and realized I didn’t get one of a certain dishwasher. I wondered back to the dishwasher and Mr. Sales Guy follows me, fully knowing I am there to take a picture, then stands in front of the dishwasher. I finally said «ok, I have 3 pictures of you, do you mind standing to the side for a minute?»
As I’m wondering back to my guy, Mr. Sales Guy turned into Mr. Asshole Sales Guy. He said something about getting one of the washers ready for us to take home that night. I reminded him, again, that we were pretty clear about not purchasing anything that day. He then says «then why did you waste my time?» I gaped at him. He repeated it and said «why did you waste my time running back to the store room? I mean, I know I’m overweight and could use the exercise…» He might have said more after this, but to be honest, I didn’t stick around to hear it. I turned on my heel, and walked away from him. He did not follow, did not try to recover, did not apologize, did NOTHING but walk away from me. Mr. Sales Guy, you sell this stuff. IT’S YOUR JOB to walk back to the store room and be transparent about what you are selling. The only person whose time was wasted was ours for walking in this JOKE of a store.
We went across the street to Best Buy, found the same dishwasher for $ 100 less (not even on sale, regular price) and purchased it. They’ll be delivering it for FREE (something Appliance Smart doesn’t do) and they didn’t insult me once.
