Wow, we have loved everything that we have tried here. The Spring Rolls and Milky Buns are my absolute favorites!!!

Hidden gem. The beverage selection alone is worth stopping in for. Singapore Rice noodle was okay, a bit salty, but I chose 0 on the spicy scale so that may have been a bad choice. Spouse had Korean Bulgoki which was delicious, we could smell it being prepared and I was dissapointed that it wasn’t my dish when they were brought out. Pork bun was also great, I love those. The real winner was the Coconut jam bun, really out if this world yum.

Visiting the in-laws and found this treasure. Even if you just go and get one of the buns, it is still worth it. Fully intend to visit this nearly every single day during my Christmas break. Gotta have more of those curry chicken buns.

I love going here for a quick plate of noodles or to get some awesome pork buns to go. It is very reasonably priced and very very tasty. I moved here from NYC and loved getting pork buns in Chinatown. Satay 2 go is the closed I have found to the pork buns I. Chinatown. They are so good and I got all my co workers to love them! The staff is extremely nice too. It makes it an ever more pleasant experience. My diamond in the rough

This place is amazing! My son has been asking forever to go. We don’t usually go as a family to many places due to our very different tastes. We all thought it was delish! And the family working there is sweet as pie! Satay 2 Go is at the top of our favorites list. Note: not a lot of seating. Just keep in mind if you have a large group. Don’t let that deter you from ordering pick-up!

I love Satay 2 Go! Corrine, the owner-cook, remembers me by name, even if it has been months since my last visit to Minnesota! The food is always delicious and I’ve never been disappointed! I wish she would open one up on Louisville, Kentucky, where I live! I miss this place!

This place is great and I have never had a bad meal here! I am originally from the west coast and I miss good Asian cuisine. This place has it all and even fresh bakery goods that I used to buy at Ranch 99 grocery stores back in CA! They even ask how hat you want your food which for me is a happy 6. Customer service is great and the food is always hot/fresh! Nice little place here in MN!

Have been going to Satay2Go since it first opened. Its all good but my favorite is the Singapore Chow Fun. You can doctor the level of spice in it to appease your Minnesota palate, but as hot as you can tolerate is the way to go. The wife usually gravitates toward the Chicken Satay. The soups are great too, particularly the curry. Not much on atmosphere. Just a few small tables and the counter and if its busy when you walk in your meal may take a little bit of time to make it to you as they are definitely cooking to order. Its a great little restaurant tucked away in a small strip mall that should have much more business than it gets. A true hidden treasure.

Satay 2 Go was amazing! I went in after a yoga class, super hungry and looking to get items to go. A super young kid greeted me. Oh my gosh, he was so stinking cute! I asked for recommendations and he asked excellent questions to make sure I ordered well. I loved the milky bun! It was a bakery item he up sold me on, and I’ve been dying to go back and order 12 more. I just want to stuff my face with them. For real, so good! All the food was excellent, my only complaint was that the medium spice level wasn’t spicy at all.

A Malaysian who verifies that Satay2Go serves authentic Malaysian food! My favorite are the Mee Mamak, Mee Goreng, Singapore fried noodles, and Cantonese noodles. Basically everything on the menu is great! Also love the baked goods! This is a highly recommended place! Love it!!! Be sure to call ahead before heading over!:)

We need more small businesses with authentic culinary offerings in a clean space like Satay to Go. Family run, it’s always a pleasure stopping by to grab a bite and admire the pride the children of the owners working at the restaurant. The food is made fresh to order and well seasoned. I typically go with the Singapore Noodles and a couple of the pork or chicken buns.

I have been a regular customer since 2009. I typically get the fresh BBQ pork buns when I can get there early enough. Every once in a while, the hunger bug bites me, and I order a party tray of Singapore chow fun. It can easily feed 8 people. My fiancée, our dog, and I would finish the tray in a day. Excellent flavor and very spicy — just the way we like it!

If I didn’t eat this type of food my whole life, I probably would not have been as critical. I thought I would just fall head over heel in love with Satay 2 go especially after reading some reviews and saw that they had an almost perfect rating. I was also excited as they serve food from the region of South East Asia where I came from. I was going home from Iowa and I thought I would give it a shot as it was sort of on the way. I had char kway teow and roti canai in mind. When I got there, they didn’t really have char kway teow but had Singaporean chow fun that looked pretty similar. However, then I saw the picture of the lo mie and I lost it and ordered that instead. The guy that took my order was not overly friendly. However, that’s not surprising. He was efficient and he asked me with my lo mie and roti canai order if I wanted more roti with it. I just assumed they would only give you one roti prata. So I ordered more. I also ordered a watermelon bubble tea drink. The roti canai came first and they gave me shitload of roti prata, more than I needed for the small curry they gave me. The roti prata was thick and not the fluffy one I usually liked. This one looked like it was those commercially produced round ones. The curry was also nothing special. It was just filled with potatoes. If there was chicken, I couldn’t tell. Too bad because I felt I spent more money just to waste it. The bubble tea was a sweet milk flavored with watermelon. It wasn’t fresh watermelon fruit slushy with tapioca. It was so sweet I couldn’t drink it. The lo mie was not bad and it helped some yearning of noodle in gooey thick egg sauce that I love so much. Back home, this dish would be filled with seafood and vegetables. This one only had two pieces of shrimps, some dried chicken pieces, and several pieces of napa cabbage and yu choy. It was so hot which was how I liked it. Too bad, it was rather skimpy on ingredients. Considering my total bill was $ 27, I thought it was pricy for what I got. I gave them a good tip too though I probably did not need to tip 20% since you ordered at the counter. However, I thought I would support this tiny restaurant. I asked for a glass of water and the guy had to pass the water pitcher to give me the glass. He handed me the empty styrofoam glass and showed me where the water was and made me get up in mid meal. Dang. I wish I didn’t tip him that much. I hate when I got insincere. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t as great as I had hoped it to be. I usually could eat the same thing in Chicago for less than $ 20 with tip. I may give it one more try and try their other dishes. We’ll see. I won’t be in a hurry.

Did not realize this place was much smaller then I imagined but the service was awesome they have 5 small tables inside but seems to be more of a take out joint. Tons of variety for Asian beverages which I enjoyed my mango juice from a can. A good selection of food rice plates, noodle soups, and stir fry noodles. Also many apps. We ordered the lemon grass chicken wings which were very good perfectly cooked. Lo mee noodles which was great. I also took home a milky bun for desert a bread with sweet Crème topping and 2 pork buns for later. Food came quick and the place filled up for a Tuesday night. Highly recommend !

So I don’t get down this way often but the word on this place needs to spread. I vaguely remember the spring rolls from a 6 weeks ago and would definitely order again. This time I went with the Mee Goreng. Rice noodles, veggies and tofu. On the spicyness level I ordered a 8 from the 1 – 10 option I was given. Awesome slow heat but I gave it an extra dose of the hot peppers in oil for some more love and that set me right. I did the lychee bubble tea for my drink and I’m one happy camper. Sitting here, some lady came in and went bun crazy on the 6 or so flavors they offered and I heard him say for every 10 you buy you get 1 free. The kid working the counter is super cool and keeps the front of the house clean and tidy. It’s a great place to come with a book and enjoy your meal.

I have been eyeing this place for years but never stopped in until yesterday. Stopped in after the gym to bring something home. Feeling adventurous, I ordered the Okonomiyaki, which is like a Japanese pizza pancake. She said it would take a litle bit to make that but I was okay with it, it sounded interesting! I browsed the baked buns while it cooked and ordered a buttercream one and a chicken curry one. I ate the chicken curry one while I waited and it was incredible. The owner is SO nice and we chatted while I waited. I got the food home and it was AMAZING. I think this is the only place around that sells them! I would love to try other variations so if any other restaurant sells them then I would like to know! It’s beef, bean sprouts, egg, noodles, cabbage, teriyaki, with fish flakes on top. Delicious. The buttercream bun was also amazing. I can’t believe it took me this long to come in here and I will be coming back asap! Delicious food and great fast friendly service.

Read all the great review about this place so decided to drive out here to give it a try this week. It is a very small spot in a small strip mall that also house a Mexican restaurant, a nail salon, and a Mexican market. It’s right in front of Home Depot and easily missed if you didn’t spot the sign. As others said, it is very small with 5 tables and 18 seats, many people seem to take it Togo. The blonde girl taking order wasn’t very friendly, didn’t seem to know much about the menu, and didn’t seem to care much. That’s bummer. But the chef/owner was super friendly and picks her head out to say often. She seems to know everyone! That’s a great sign! We tried the laksa, roti w curry, Singapore chow fan, and nasi lemak, to share between the four of us. The food was fantastic, great flavors, not greasy, and rather addictive to be honest because we couldn’t stop eating until everything was devoured! And according to our Malaysian friends, it is also very authentic! We did try the BBQ puff from the pastry case… and decided to take another dozen to go. I guess that says it all about the BBQ puff! Great authentic southeast Asian gem in this tiny unsuspecting spot. Definitely worth the drive!
