My experience at this restaurant is one of thorough disappointment. Upon walking in, one is greeted by an interior which looks similar to a combination of an unfinished factory and an airport McDonald’s. This troubling initial impression is worsened when you speak with the staff. The idea of «Midwestern niceness» appeared to have fallen on the deaf ears of my waiter. Accustomed to the great Madison bar/grills(The Great Dane, The Old Fashioned, Dotty Dumpling’s etc.), I was excited to compare Caesar salads. This excitement was misplaced. The drenched iceberg lettuce was similar in texture to soggy leaves dragged out of the gutter on a spring Saturday. Perhaps the best part of the meal was the drinking water that came out of a cup with black specs on the bottom. Although, that’s not saying much considering this meal could have made the water of Flint, Michigan seem refreshing. A heartbreakingly disappointing mistake that I will not duplicate. Do yourself a favor, and eat at the Panda Express or Subway next door in the mall food court.

Not impressed with sanitation when it comes to cleaning the tables. Serving sizes are small for the sides. Only thing that I liked was the salmon. Service was alright considering how busy they were but got seated fast. Mixed drink took a good ten minutes to get. Won’t be coming back.

Not a brewing company. The atmosphere definitely recommends they are attached to the mall… Almost franchise/Denny’s like. The restrooms are your typical mall expectation. The smell of the fryers from the kitchen emanates throughout. The grease that is streaked and visible on the stainless one kitchen area is evidence of it. The only saving grace is the customer service. The team was great!

We stayed at the Hampton inn and wanted to stay close to the hotel for dinner. We love trying new brewpubs, so this was a natural draw plus it was right by the motel! ! We tried a flight of beers to taste 8 of them. Surprising to us the rye beer was one of the favorites! We also ordered wings and a margarita pizza. They ran out of wings so gave us the pizza first. It had a crisp crust and was one of the best pizzas we ever had! The wings are reasonably priced – $ 12+ for 18 of them. Also very good! We would recommend this place and would consider coming back. The waitstaff seemed tired and a bit overwhelmed and crotchety. Anyone can have a bad night and maybe tonight was her bad night. Plus we ordered our wings naked with sauce on the side. The manager(?) came and said they put sauce on them and would we consider taking them anyway. Once we said no, we barely got any more service. I did note no servers were smiling– no staff was smiling or chatting actually which means management needs to treat the staff better so they are happy to be working here or they will have lots of turnover if they don’t already!

The environment is great, the look is great, the food not so great. This is mainly a brewery that happens to serve food. The steak I had was mediocre at best, definitely not worth the $ 22. It was completely smothered in gravy and had no flavor. The vegetables weren’t cooked at all the way through and were bitter. The restaurant was at about 25% capacity but we still waited over 40 minutes for our food. Not impressed.

Yummy Octoberfest brew and the food was great. Portion size was large, we both had to ask for a box to go. I would stop in agian!

This place used to be our«ace in the hole» over the years. Reasonable prices and good food. The salads were disappointing on our last visit. Greek salad was littered with black olives and white lettuce. The Southwest had different ingredients than previous visits. Hopefully it was a one time hiccup.

Service was good. Food came out fast. Root beer bbq pork was delicious and not too sweet. No wait on a Friday night.

I came here for lunch and was happy to see the wide variety of beers and food choices. I ordered the«Crabby Patty»(a crab cake sandwich). I’m pretty picky about crab cakes, but Fox River Brewing Co.‘s was pretty decent and I’d consider ordering it again if I returned. This also seemed like a pretty kid/family-friendly restaurant considering it being a brewery – the tables are actually covered in paper and each table is stocked with crayons so kids can color and write to their heart’s content while waiting for food. Nice!

Appleton doesn’t have a ton of good places to eat. This restaurant is good eats for the area, not necessarily great compared to bigger cities but decent. They have their own beers on tap, about 8 – 10 you can choose depending on the time of year. For something different, try the blueberry beer. It’s a good balanced beer; it is not overly sweet or in your face. I like their fish tacos. Service is pretty good and we are usually seated fairly quickly. The patio is nice in the summer.

Came here tonight for some good brews. I tried the buzzin’ honey ale, which was crisp and lightly sweet. The menu recommends different beers for different plates, which was very helpful. Friends opinions of their dishes: Crunch salad: really big, good dressing, wished there was more crunch chicken, which was pretty tasty. Asian chicken tacos: okay, chicken was a dry, a little bland. Salsa was alright, chips a little stale. Milano mushroom pizza: pretty good, some mushrooms undercooked, crispy crust. Beef and shroom burger: nothing special, not worth it. Barbecue bacon cheesy burger: overall, pretty good. Barbecue sauce very tangy, definitely cheesy. Service was good, server very friendly. Good atmosphere. Offered a very wide selection of beers.

I ate here when at the mall. Got the crabby patty. It was so salty I had to send it back. Wait person very attentive. Brought me soup on the house while I waited for the special: a wild mushroom & cheese calzone. Soup almost taste-free, calzone very blah with tough crust. Oh well. Won’t be back.

Glad to see this place is still keeping it real as in «Sconny Real.“Would come here in college over 10 years ago and they were then serving up great bar food and quality brew before the craft beer craze of the mid oughts. Will always try and visit when in Outagamie.

On «Black Friday» my 3 daughters and a visiting friend ate here. It was a perfect quiet respite in the middle of the chaotic mall. We were promptly greeted and given a table. I ordered a flight of their brew and all our drinks were delivered quickly. The server did a great job of providing the details behind each of the brews. They bread their chicken strips in Captain Crunch and their French fries are hand cut. Very high quality. I ordered the Fox River Burger and it was perfectly cooked — but it lacked a flavor or sauce and condiments were not brought to our table or offered. We also ordered the nachos and were a bit disappointed because the toppings were sparse and not in proportion to the chips. We left a bunch of chips uneaten but wanted more toppings. The white chili was excellent. All around, it was a great dining experience — but, I’d say that the food quality may be touch and go depending on what you order. We were happy, in the end, and we’ll go back.

I really wanted to like this place, but it just wasn’t that great. The food was decent. I had the Frenched Philly, which was good. My fiancée had a burger, which he said was average. My biggest complaint about the food was the«healthy side option» which turned out to be an unripe pear. Perhaps it was an off night, but we found the atmosphere to be somewhat unwelcoming. We were told to sit anywhere in the bar area, but then got attitude from the server because she didn’t know we had sat down. Most of the people drinking in the bar area seemed to be off duty employees with very profane mouths. We felt like we were intruding on a private party rather than having dinner and a few beers in a brewery bar & grill. The gaming machines seemed to be assigned to specific people as well because we got dirty looks when we played.

Wasn’t sure about this place given it was a brew house. Our 5 person party was treated well and the food FAR exceeded expectations. The burgers are tremendous, the French Philly was even better and the nachos are a meal unto themselves. Two negatives, one it was WAYTOOHOT inside and the pico needs to be more«bitey». Otherwise it was a great meal, leaving the kids asking«when can we come back». Too bad we are over two hours away!

The Bruschetta Chicken was very good, though a bit heavy on the Balsamic. My husband had the Bam Bam Shrimp tacos and thought they were amazing. The patio is nice and our service was exceptional. The Blu Berry Ale was really very well crafted, I’ve had others, and the flavor of the fruit in this one is balanced very nicely. Overall I would recommend it as a must stop if you are in Appleton.
