Red Lobster

I’ve been to several Red Lobsters in the Midwest and I like the one in Appleton most. Although it’s always busy, if you go early when they just open, you will definitely get a seat.
During the warmer months, they open doors for you when you enter and exit. Since we always have a smaller party, the times I’ve went we were always seated promptly. I’ve only had to wait 15 minute once.
The service is ok. It’s not spectacular. The time I went, the manager — I believe — came to check in with us several times through our meal to make sure we got the right order and to make sure everything was ok. Our server took her time explaining the specials and gave us enough time to look through their new menu. She didn’t seemed rushed like the other servers I’ve experienced at other Red Lobsters. Our food came in a good time as well and the cheddar biscuits were warm with the cheese inside still melted. Divine!
I enjoyed my meal; the Shrimp Trio. My husband thought that the lobster tail was a tad overcooked as it was more chewy but he thoroughly enjoyed it. This was the first time he didn’t order his usual.
We don’t order cocktails as it is over an hour drive for us to return home but I will try that next time. The ones that came to our neighbor’s table looked absolutely delicious.

Stopped in on a cold night for the famous lobster bisque soup — Alexa helped me … She was wonderful … Made lots of suggestion … Great vibe !!! Thank you !!! I love the coconut shrimp too !! We will return !!!

Would not recommend. Low level of service,. Food preparation lacking, over cooked rice, very overripe tomatoes — almost to the point of rotting, their signature biscuits served with our entrees as they were «out», pieces of shell on some of the shrimp– which wasn’t «peel & eat.» Dining room floor littered with pieces of paper & clumps of food. The garbage bin in the women’s bathroom was overflowing. Not a good experience.

Food was great as always! The service however, not so much. When we arrived there was an hour wait (which is pretty much expected on a Saturday night) but we found out they now have «call ahead seating». Something they never offered before. So it’s great that they offer it now, it just would have been nice to know ahead of time. After our order was taken, our waiter brought our drinks, bread, and salads very quickly. He was very friendly and everything started off great. When we got our salads we also ordered a drink. We never did get that drink. Then we seemed to wait quite a bit for everything after that.
We ordered the endless shrimp (our favorite!) and the dishes started to pile up. It was not just the waiter. When a food runner brought a order of coconut shrimp, she had to move empty dishes out of the way just so it would fit on the table. She did not clear off any of the dishes either. One whole side of the table was full of empty dishes. It wasn’t until I asked the waiter to take some of them, that he finally took one pile of them.
We also asked for another basket of bread for our kids while we waited for our shrimp. We never saw that either. We did finally get refills on our drinks, but not before they were empty for a while, and we had to ask for them.
All in all the food was great, but we’ll think twice before going again due to the lack of service

SHOUT OUT TO JAMES G! Just ate at the Appleton, WI location and James G. was our server. Best server I have ever had at any restaurant! Very friendly, informative, paid attention to our needs, great recommendations, great manners and patient! Very nice to the kids! Food was awesome! Cooked to perfection! And the biscuits… Damn delicious ! Will definitely be back! Thank you James G!

Thank you for never disappointing! Even though it’s a seafood restaurant they have the best chicken and the best steak! I am not a seafood lover but my husband and son are so we go to red lobster and we all leave completely satisfied. The wait staff is all around great every time we eat here!

The food is always really good here and the waitstaff are usually very attentive. The only con is that you might be waiting to be seated some nights. Never disappointed with the food here!

Service was slow. Took a while to get bar drinks and had to ask twice to get more biscuits.
