A great place for a coffee and some lunch. I would rate there coffee better than Starbucks — but I’m not a coffee snob like most. Also great place for local musicians to hang out and jam.

Great atmosphere, great coffee, great people. This is by far my favorite coffee shop in appleton. Hip, chill, and welcoming employees, make me happy to leave a tip(unlike starbucks). I’m pretty simple… like my coffee black… hot or cold… harmony excels at both. And, while I haven’t participated, they offer community meeting spaces, and a pretty extensive menu. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep coming back :-)

I had the presto pesto veggie panini. It was great. It was a little smaller than I expected. Really nice place.

My visit was during a warm summer evening I was on foot and I was looking for a quiet place to sit and read and just hang out. My first choice was the Café at Warch Center on Lawrence’s campus. But school was out and the Café was closed so I opted to try Harmony, again. I’ve never felt comfortable here, always seemed noisy, claustrophobic, and I’m not so keen on the hipster service and the so so food. This business is an outreach for Goodwill Industries and offers meeting rooms for community organizations. There’s a performance area where there is open mike for poets and performing artists. This is all good. Note, if you want to use the public computer terminals there is no privacy. They are situated in front of the door so, in winter or foul weather, its not the place to sit. This particular evening there was a throng of high – school aged kids, hanging out, playing guitars, making loud conversation, which I can kinda deal with. At some point however a fight broke out on the side street and Appleton Police were called on the scene. Meanwhile, I was sitting at an outside table between one group singing four part harmony and another table who was smoking and eating pizza from a restaurant down the street. I had my ear buds cranked up but they could’t compete with motorcycles and traffic. I really want to like this place. It just seems like the people that are there have no other place to go. With so many other choices like the Café at the Warch Center, Brewed Awakenings, Acoa, Copper Rock, time is better spent elsewhere.

Good Sandwich, Buttttttttt, I ordered the Smoked Turkey to Go at 3:10pm with no one in line before me. The counter girl could barely keep her eyelids open & had to ask me twice about things I told her already, guessing she was stoned out of her mind, which is fine by me, but you still have to be able to do your job efficiently & not look like a total burnout. It took almost 20 minutes for me to get a to go sandwich, which was good, but I would hate to be there when they were actually busy. Can’t imagine how long that would take.

My partner(who has Celiacs sprue) and I went for lunch because they have Gluten Free Options.(Celiacs sprue is a disease, any gluten he ingests makes him seriously ill.) We ordered and I mentioned(as I always do) please be careful not to cross-contaminate the gluten free meal with gluten products. The clerk told us that this was not a good place for him to eat. The Gluten free bread is cut and the sandwiches are made on the same bread board as gluten items are made. This encompasses all food labeled Gluten Free, deserts, salads etc. There are no precautions taken to keep Gluten from contaminating their products. Those who prefer gluten free eating as a personal choice may be comfortable eating here. Those who are sensitive, intolerant or suffer from the disease of Celiac Sprue, should NOT eat the food here. We enjoy the coffee and other drinks at Harmony Café. The café supports community programs and space. LGBT meetings are held here, art shows and poetry readings. Although unable to eat the food we enjoy the diversity and community feel of Harmony Café.

What a wonderful place to have on College Avenue! Harmony Café features a very respectable-sized menu for very reasonable prices. Harmony has a sort of warm, cozy, kind of hip atmosphere, which makes it a popular choice of pretty much everyone! In the evening, this is one of the coolest meetup places for middle and high school students. College students love coming here to escape campus. My personal favorite place to do work is on the second level, which has a great view of the café below and sockets for my laptop charger. The veggie wrap is probably my favorite thing to get on the menu. It has hummus, carrots, red and green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and other vegetables I know I’m forgetting. Just trust me that it’s a yummy! This place is super vegetarian friendly, so you’ll be sure to find other great options on the menu. Also, good luck trying to resist temptation because the delicious array of dessert options sit there in plain view through the viewing case where the cash register is. The desserts are good; you really can’t go wrong. What I love about Harmony is that it’s the meeting place for lot of different clubs and organizations. I’ve been to Harmony for a couple different poetry nights with student poets from Lawrence University, as well as live music nights, including one for Appleton East High School. Harmony is in tune with the community, which makes it a gem of Appleton. Come for the food, come to work, come to look at the awesome Giving Tree-looking mural on the wall, come for the computers(available to customers), come for an event. Whatever the reason, just come!

Comfortable older building in downtown Appleton, which means have fun parking. Once you’re in, snacks, food, & coffee awaits. So do you, as there is a line, moves quick!, for service at the counter. Computers &WIFI available. Many floors, lots of dark woodwork, a stage area for live performances, conference rooms upstairs, and many activities are supported simultaneously. Harmony Café also supports social justice issues. Has a community bulletin board. Group meetings are held here. It is sponsored by Good Will, and competes and compliments other downtown Coffee houses. Had a great cup of coffee with quite a range of types to choose from.

Traveling through town and finishing dinner, I needed a place to pop open the laptop and get some work done. There are a few different floors, conference rooms up top, and another section for live music shows. There was a performance that night, so I retreated to the second floor since I needed to get work done. Sound travels through this place and you hear everything. After the show, some girl(customer) stood down in the lobby with her friends and endlessly sang out loud. I guess I’m the only one it bothered. This is certainly a community hang out and swarming with so many teeny boppers that it would compete with Starbucks(at least that night). If I was hanging out with friends, I probably would have enjoyed it more. Since I needed to concentrate and focus, it was just too uncomfortable. Oddly enough that night, I wanted decaf coffee. Great thing was that they pour-over brewed it for me fresh, that was a nice touch. Some places would give you decaf out of an air pot that has been sitting there for a few hours.

My favorite place to grab lunch or late night coffee in the valley! Great atmosphere and oh lordy, the cheesy chicken and artichoke pannini is delicious. Also, house-made chai. SO good. Don’t forget to check out the seating upstairs. It’s a great place to just chill for as long as you want.

Good coffee, and pretty good breakfast pastry selection at a very LARGE and cute building. Very cozy and the type of place I could work all day. For Wisconsin charm I have to say the staff were only so so. Also my own *Hot tip, if you want to work, go up stairs… in the late morning this place appears to be a hang out for the stay at home mommy type and it was quite loud with noises of children on the main floor.

The menu looks very nice and the drinks too, but I just couldn’t stay because of the musty odor! And it’s quite dark and not ideal if you’re planning to do work/study while you sip coffee. If they could make improvements in the lighting and the conditions of this place I would definitely return.

Every college town has a place like the Harmony Café. It’s in an old brick building with a mashup of random furnishings, the coffee/drinks are good, the food gives a nod to healthful vegan/raw/vegetarian options and the staff are quirky, but professional. The community bulletin board is full of fliers, roommate ads CSA memberships and the like and there is a stage for live music, though I’ve only been here during the daylight hours. I’m glad that this place is here.

Probably one of my favorites in Appleton. Creature of habit that I am, I usually order the same thing once I find something that I like. I love the pesto chicken pizza and I think the prime rib sandwich with horseradish? But my ultimate favorite is the coffee mocha with ice cream + extra shot. It’s delicious. Perfect for any kind of weather. The staff has always been friendly and attentive and I like the location and the actual café set up. My least favorite thing about the place is the wait time which tends to be a lot longer than one would expect with the number of staff that they have but hey… I still like the coffee.

Stopped back in yesterday for a late breakfast/early lunch with my girlfriend Diane. I had the Harmony Omelette which had Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Tomatoes, Red Onion and Spinach. It was very good, but one tiny warning, it is very small, but at $ 3.50, you could easily order two! Diane had the Greek Tuna Salad which had Flaked Tuna, Roasted Red Peppers, Artichoke Hearts, Red Onion, Black Olives, Feta Cheese, Greek Dressing, Romaine Lettuce and Tomatoes on sourdough bread. It looked really good and she ate it fast!

This is precisely the type of café that should exist in every college town. It nicely straddles the line of «food» and«work café by separating audiences in different spaces. I very much like the aesthetics of the place… and my cake hit the spot for dessert.

Fair trade, organic, AND commmunity-focused. All of my Appleton relatives recommended this café, and I can confirm that it is the place to be. It is in a new location on College Avenue. The coffee is excellent, the menu a bit more varied than a typical café. The atmosphere is very comfortable and the staff is both friendly and professional. The coffee is excellent. I enjoyed a Nicaragua brew that was roasted to perfection by La Java Roasting House in Green Bay
