Great sandwiches. I wish that the fries would have been a little more«loaded» as the menu suggests, but otherwise great menu options and price.

Our first visit here was good, but the second visit here was quite a disappointment. Overall, I’m not impressed with the quality of the food enough to return. On our first visit, we had the Cuban sandwich($ 7.99) and Avocado, Bacon, Basil, Lettuce, Tomato(«ABBLT») sandwich($ 7.99). The Cuban sandwich was quite good and we really liked the soft, dense bread that came nicely toasted. The ABBLT was good, not great. The small pieces of avocado were soft and overly ripe, and covered in mayo instead of «garlic aioli»(as stated on the menu). The bread was crispy sourdough with a buttery taste(not English muffin as stated on menu). The bacon was ok, but not thick pieces of «Applewood bacon» as described on the menu. The«fresh basil» was also surprisingly absent from the sandwich. If you’re going to have avocado, basil and bacon featured in the name of a dish, those ingredients better be stellar! Side Dishes: — The potato dill salad was good with pieces of egg and fresh dill. The potato salad tasted like it was made with a sour cream or plain yogurt rather than mayonnaise, which I preferred. — The Potato Wedges were crispy and tasty. Our second visit here was so bad, I barely ate a bite of my sandwich. I tried the ABBLT again and sadly it wasn’t any better than the first time. My brother had the Ruben Sandwich($ 8.29) and it had two thin slices of meat that looked like they came from a package rather than being prepared in house. I mean, what do you think of when you think of a Ruben Sandwich? A sandwich piled high with slices of corned beef, but of course! My brother looked at me with sad eyes that said, «And you recommended we come here for lunch?!» After lunch he told me, «We have to set the record straight. This is definitely not a 5-star place!» The sandwiches at Paninoteca just don’t live up to their name. If you describe a sandwich as having«fresh basil» and«beefsteak tomatoes», then that’s what I expect. Nothing more, nothing less. Just truth in advertising.

Stopped in for breakfast with our kids and had great service. Food was OK, nothing amazing. Wondering if it would be a better place for lunch.

Started with the new country chicken soup. Delicious! Could have ate a gallon easily! Ordered the turkey wrap because it was highlighted as a house specialty. It was disappointing. Sliced turkey(and I think only one slice) not oven roasted like you would hope for. So the soup is a five and the wrap is a one = three star average.

We were in town for the day and found this place on Unilocal,so decided to try it! The food was reasonable and tasted great! We tried the A.B.B.L.T and the Turkey melt. When we went to the counter to pay they were having issues with their credit card machine and told us that our lunch was on the house since that was the only form of payment. Very nice staff!

Love love love this joint!!! Their breakfasts are incredible with great ingredients; I respect places that throw their cash behind great ingredients! The Cuban is the best around here; haven’t had one of those since I left Florida! I’m trying the chicken pesto macaroni right now and YUMMERZZ!!!

The best place in the valley to get a good soup/sandwich combo! Their soups are delicious, especially the Italian Sausage soup. Their sandwiches are also delicious and are just different enough to make them a notch above others in the area. Every time I’ve been there I’ve had the same waiter, Jaime, and he’s great — friendly, responsive, helpful. I think this place is a hidden gem, and it’s the perfect place to go in this cold Wisconsin weather to get a nice, hot bowl of soup and a great sandwich!

Great tasting«Cuban» sandwich, even though it’s made with honey dijon and mayo instead of the traditional yellow mustard. Fries were tasty and didn’t taste like they were mass produced. My wife had a «grown-up» grilled cheese and honey dill potato salad and was quite pleased. We both had a craft beer with our meal and service was good. Not cheap, but not over priced either. Worth a return trip.

Reuben was good. Chili was actually goulash — it had noodles in it — NOTCHILI. Turkey Cranberry sandwich and mushroom soup were delicious. Waitress never came around to check on us or refill our drinks. Atmosphere is like a cheap diner. This place is fine for an average lunch. Not that special.

We have had great dining experiences at Paninioteca. I love how refreshingly different the menu is in comparison to other sandwich restaurants. The food was fresh and wonderfully prepared. Our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. My daughter loves that she gets to color on the table tops as well!(paper table cloths)

I always enjoy eating here EXCELLENTFOOD! My favorite is the half sandwich soup option. The only thing that would make this a five star is if they offered a vega table side.

See my previous review at Sunrise Restaurant before Unilocal caught up with the name change. Good food, reasonable prices, pleasant staff. I like this place.

Very friendly staff and tasty food. I had the Cuban and fries and my girlfriend had the Duke as well as the Creamy Chicken with Wild Rice soup. Everything was delicious and I most definitely will return. I’m only giving a 4 out of 5 because its an extra $ 2 for fries or chips with a sandwich. If they were included, 5 stars, no question.

I went there for lunch today by myself. I ordered a turkey and avocado sandwich, with fries and a bowl of italian sausage soup. SOGOOOOOD! For me, I could EASILY devour this at any other restaurant, but the portions were big enough for two meals! The prices were awesome for the quality and quanity! I told my boyfriend I was there, and we might be back tonight for Mac and Cheese night! Keep up the good work!

In the category — diner style casual with extended seating — soups/salads/great burgers and sandwiches — this new restaurant rivals some of those Milwaukee Travel Channel«best of» wannabe’s Food refreshing modernized versions of comfort food without the gimmicks — atmosphere — fresh clean unimposing — service personal attentive and spot on! Had lunch there today for the first time and saw many of the old regulars still coming in for the«usual» and new regulars both. In all cases the servers treated everyone(including us) like family. This place is a gem! Hubby had a Reuben Burger(yes everything Reuben including the pastrami on a ¼ pound perfectly cooked burger) It completely beat out the Milwaukees best at AJ Bombers. I opted for the Italian sausage soup and a «side» of Bac and Blue Fries — a SICK amount of perfectly crispy hand cut and twice fried fries smothered in bacon, blue cheese and gruyère. Grand total for the two of us for lunch $ 21!(and I had a glass of wine to boot) I will definitely be going back to see if this is the real deal as I suspect it is.
