Very frustrating. I was very excited to try this pizza and received a coupon in the mail reminding this place existed and BONUS they deliver! So we called. A lady answered and we said we would like to place an order for delivery. Wait for it. she hung up on us! It could have been an accident so we called back. went to voicemail… waited. Called again. Voicemail! For 30 minutes. We gave up, clearly before that– just wanted to voice our frustration but wasn’t able to do that. If there weren’t any drivers, we would have picked it up but we don’t know if that was the issue. We will stick to other pizza places…

It is good pizza. They are good people. However, the price point is outrageous even for Aptos standards. Hopefully, they touch that up because this is arguably the best pizza in Aptos. It just may prevent repeat customers. Try the garlic base. Excellent.

Quiet pizzeria with good food and awesome staff. The pizza was delicious and the salad was amazing. Plus it wasn’t that far from our beach rental. Definitly will remeber them next vacation.

Amazing pizza! Great salads and appetizers too. The staff is very nice and welcoming. My husband and I and my parents all love this place so much and have been going here for years.

I just had to knock off another star on their rating because the last 3 times I’ve called for delivery(all 3 times on the weekend) they didn’t have a driver working. I can understand that maybe there was a sick call or something but shouldn’t there be more than one delivery driver on the schedule just in case?

Overcharges for tax. Their pizza is good but toppings are skimpy. But worse is that they consistently overcharge for tax. Tax rate in Aptos is 8.25%. Tax on a $ 32 pizza is $ 2.64, for a total of $ 34.64. I had a $ 5 off coupon so that would have been $ 29.64. But I was charged $ 30.45. When I complained they said«it’s the register.» Plus, they deducted the $ 5AFTER taxing the full amount, rather than taxing the discounted amount. My pizza should actually have cost $ 29.23. The only time it’s appropriate to charge the tax on the non-discounted amount is when a third party is involved(like paying tax on full amount for a phone you buy from your wireless provider). When a retailer offers a coupon on their own product, the tax is calculated on the discounted price. Look it up — California State Board of Equalization. Overcharging each customer by a buck or so adds up to a nice profit margin — so why are the toppings so skimpy?

Do not purchase a gift card from this establishment! My daughter gave us a gift card from Mangiamo’s and they will not honor their own card! At first the guy at the counter claimed to have never seen one and did not know how to apply it to a purchase! When asked for the manager or owner he said he was out of town and did not know when he would return! Since then I have called, left my phone number for the owner or manager to call me back… nothing. In my last call I said I would contact the consumer protection office which I am in the process of doing!

SUPER-expensive for what you get. All they need is another pizza place to open on the east side of SC and this place would go under… Not a good way to generate or keep a fan base…

Absolutely fantastic hidden pizza place. Every time I come into Mangiamo’s, there seems to be one other person in there at the most. Kind of a shame that it’s not more out there(behind Deluxe) because if it was more visible, the place would definitely be crowded. New York style crust cooked to perfection and friendly, talkative staff. Might be just a bit pricey, but totally worth it. Beats the heck out of Showtime down the road.

Wow. What happened. I keep giving Mangiamo a chance and I can’t do it anymore. I order almost weekly, and it has gone from a thin crust Italian pizza to a Pizza Hut no content pizza. Tonite I got 2 bits of green pepper and one piece of pepperoni per slice. I will not be back. You have lost a very loyal weekly customer. What happened???

Pizza was average in taste. Just average. The 2 stars is because when I drop $ 60 for a large pizza and family salad it should be well above average and/or be bigger than the size that didn’t fill up 4 adults.

Name a better pizza in Aptos if you can. I can’t. We have eaten over 50 pizzas from here. Dine in and delivery. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the price. It’s expensive for pizza and they are light on the toppings. Look for coupons in the local papers. The Thursday crew always makes a good pie. Best in our area but pricey.

First time at Mangiamo Pizza. The pizza was incredibly tasty. Not too thin or thick and a ton of flavor. Xavier and Dane were great and prompt in regards to service. I will definitely be coming back. This might be my new favorite spot for pizza and beer. :)

I knew the pizza was pricey going in, but I wanted to try it. The pizza was not bad, but for a 35 dollar pizza i expected to be impressed. The pizza was passable. Also, if you are saying the pizza is 18″ for 35 bucks, make sure the pizza is 18″. The pizza i received was maybe 16″ and I know that is splitting hairs but once again $ 35. In the end I would not get pizza from here again. Its not bad pizza, but it is over priced for what it is.

Holy cow!!! Was this place !!! Not being from the area I felt lame I couldn’t find it! Lol But I climbed the stairs and there it was in the shopping center! They don’t give their pizza away and they shouldn’t! It was to die for!!! I was starving so I did take out for my family. Ordered a Sicilian style cheese, a New York style Tropical Thunder and a boat load of garlic twists! Whoa!!! Taste bud overload!!! Can’t wait to eat leftovers for breakfast!!! You want pizza… Come here, it’s so good it should be a sin!

Holy cow! I’m deducting two stars based on price alone. I ordered a medium pizza and a small salad and it cost me over $ 40! Slightly ridiculous if you ask me. Even though it’s a pretty tasty pie, I don’t think it’s worth the price. Plus there’s no real place to dine in. Oh, and one more thing… The guys behind the counter aren’t very attentive and can be less than happy to help you out.

Went to this place with my two daughters last night at 7:25 thinking we’d eat a slice or two of their pizza. The place looked like it was already closed with only 2 patrons at tables. Asked the guy as we were walking in the door if they were closed and he says«we close at 8». So we pull up a seat and hear the guy behind the counter, after he glances over at us, exclaim loudly to his manager or co-worker(I have no idea which), «I’m leaving at 8!» We politely excused ourselves and headed out the door. Service or manners are evidently not their thing.

$ 37 for a large pizza? Pic of place at 7:45 but open til 9 wtf? This pizza better be orgasmic. Kids were nice but seriously? Update: sicilian pan pizza undercooked. Back in oven for 7 mins. Very tasty but no way worth $ 37

Went on a Thursday night, looked like they were closing. The nice boy behind the counter said they could make us something to go. Then, a glazed eyed kid comes out from the back and says they are out of cheese… Seriously, you are above a grocery store and an Italian restaurant. Lame.
