A small quaint bar on royal street parallel to bourbon. The potato skins are awesome and were very delicious

There are no places in the area to get an espresso drink so when I learned of touché I was extremely excited. My standards have already been drastically lowered after going without a decent café. So I wasn’t expecting or needing much .

A correctly poured shot of espresso and warm milk is not hard to achieve, the damn machine times it for you. Just so many inexperienced baristas overfill the scoop with espresso and apply way too much pressure when pushing it down causing the shot to pour slowly and taste bitter .

My experience here is when I switched to Red bull. I have literally not had a latte since I am so frustrated with dealing with pissed off baristas who refuse to correctly take an order without feeling as if I’m insulting their mad barista career skills. Get over yourself, I just wanted a latte without grinds in it.
Worst service and coffee imaginable. The barista had no idea what she was doing and insulted me for wanting a correctly made latte. The shot was short and burned and took like two minutes to pour when it’s not supposed to exceed twenty seconds before negatively effecting the taste. I let that go but the drink was made cold and when I asked for it a little hotter I was given the most horrible attitude and than the latte was literally given back to me boiling lava hot. It tasted horrible and I had to dump it out after paying nearly five dollars.
The place even smelled bad. I would never ever return.
other locals who live in the area seem to all agree and have various issues with the food being bad as well. Bad as in «don’t eat there or you will get food poisoning» bad, According to my neighbor who is a paster and grew up in old arabi .
I can’t honestly speak for the food but only because I would never ever give them another cent. I wasn’t even offered a refund even though I left my «latte» there. I felt robbed and taken advantage of. The woman was rude and extremely confrontational, she said she owned the place but I seriously doubt that’s true considering how immature her management and customer service skills were
