Lobster salad. That salad. The manga and Fuji Apple combo with the lobster. I never knew fruit could taste so delicious. The wintermelon clam soup is also great for the hot weather coming up.

Excellent Taiwanese restaurant! The food is clean, not too salty, and had Grandma approved flavor! We tried the black cod which everyone agreed was the favorite. We also had the pork belly, honey walnut shrimp, fried oysters, and shrimp chow mein. I would definitely come again but try their banquet menu as a la carte could get pricey! Not the cheapest restaurant in the area but well worth it for the high quality of food.

The food is great and authentic. One of the best Taiwanese restaurant in the town. We love service lot because they always come back and ask if we need to replace the plate and refill the tea when you run out. The owner(female) is very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back again. If you love Taiwanese food, you must come try this one.

This restaurant became our weekly must visit. It got more than 15 signature dishes that we can never get tired of. Fresh ingredients, no MSG, yummy and authentic flavoring. Steamed black cod, pork with green mambo shoots, chicken hot pot with bamboo shoots and mountain yam… and many more! I would say some of the dishes here r even more yum than the restaurants in Taiwan.

Not sure if anyone else agrees, but I’ll be one of the first to request the restaurant to change it’s name. If it wasn’t for BF taking me here to meet up with his best friend and wifie… I probably would’ve not tried this place due to the name«Fusion.» But the food is not what the name is trying to convey? Ambiance: typical Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant in Asia. Nothing fancy but a place to dine with a group or gather for a good catch up. Food: just the 4 of us & we ordered over 7+ large dishes? But I’m not complaining! I love trying different dishes or even the whole menu. I wouldn’t say I’m the best critic for Taiwanese food, but I’m familiar with most of the dishes through out my global experience around the world as a child. This place is pretty legit. If you’re a Taiwanese and is craving for your food from your homeland then definitely give this place a try. I don’t believe there’s any that’s better in the Chinese community. BTW, Taiwanese fast food such as fried pork chop rice or popcorn chicken should not be compared to this place. This place covers more authentic dishes that should remind many of family and wedding banquet type of dishes. For those who isn’t familiar with what Taiwanese food is, then you should also give this place a chance. I always tell pple, don’t judge but just eat it and critic a place based on your knowledge of food not by our inexperience or what others have to say. Eat with your heart & passion for food!

My friends and I decided to eat dinner at this café after a girls’ spa day, since it was conveniently located next to Ann Karen Day Spa in Arcadia. The place had plenty of tables and we were seated promptly. We tried to order most vegetarian dishes, as one of my friends is a vegetarian. The dishes we tried were the pea sprouts, the fried tofu, chow fun, and a fried pork chop plate. I think everyone’s favorite was the pea sprouts and the fried tofu. In the end we pretty much finished everything we had ordered and we left with satisfied bellies.

This restaurant has big table for big group. Their menus are almost all Chinese and only small section have English vision. The food is good. They have food that I think very close Taiwanese food I ate in Taiwan . The price is little higher than I expected, but I think it worth. The employees are almost all speak Chinese, they need to hire more people can speak English. Overall, the food is good, the environment is big and bright.

The food was overall okay. Not terrible and not terribly memorable. The uni pasta was perhaps the star of the evening — being unctuous, appropriately uni-laden, and flavorful, but I would have preferred it without all of the cabbage, onion, and other«extras» in the mix. The service though, was so bumbling and awkward it was comical. When we walked in, one of the tables was taken by two staff people busy doing something with a large mound of greens. I found this somewhat odd since the restaurant is not particularly big and they were taking up one of the larger tables meant for 8+. Next, it took a few attempts to try to get in our order as our waiter seemingly didn’t think we were ready to order even though we flagged him down to speak with him. When I checked in on Unilocal for the free plum drink(which was refreshingly tart), the waiter, being new, didn’t quite know how to redeem the check-in coupon and so brought back someone who was presumably the manager. He proceeded to bring along several of the staff, telling them he wanted to show them how to redeem the Unilocal check-in. So he took my phone and passed it around to several of the wait staff, who oohed and aahhhed as he proceeded to show them what to do. This impromptu training session conducted in front of us, as we sat in disbelief. Everything else came out okay except for the dessert, which we ordered along with our dinner. After waiting for over 20 minutes for dessert to arrive(this was after our dishes were cleared) we asked the waiter to check in on the dessert. He came back and said he was sorry, he didn’t understand when we told him we were ready for it earlier, and thought we said it was on the way. I don’t know how this communication could have happened because this all occurred in Chinese(it certainly wasn’t an English/Chinese misunderstanding). Finally, when our dessert came out of the kitchen, the waiter(a different one) brought it to us, but instead of placing it on our table, placed it on another table(a side/decorative table behind us) and walked away saying something about how he would cut it up for us. At this point, we just wanted to have our dessert and leave, so we had to ask him to please put it on our table so we could take care of the cutting and divvying up on our own. Finally, when it came time to pay, my aunt actually left the table to go settle the bill directly with the cashier because we were tired of the continued wait. She later told me that the cashier was apparently so focused on whatever else she was doing, she completely ignored my aunt who was standing right in front of her, waiting to pay for our bill. I normally don’t focus too much on ambiance or service so long as the food is bomb, but since the food was merely decent and since the service was so awkward, sophomoric, and downright weird, I really couldn’t overlook it.

One of the rudest dining experience tonight as the«owner/manager» lady started singing karaōke with full volume blasting … if you want us to leave the restaurant, all you have to do is ASK … No need to resort to singing karaōke so you can disrupt customers’ conversation and drive them out. Decent food but definitely won’t go back there again!

Pros: /Their house tea is the best tea I’ve had in a Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant /restaurant is very clean /they are going for a more high end feel of a Taiwanese restaurant /some traditional Taiwanese dishes /easy parking in the back of the Restaurant(however, they should put a sign on Live Oak that there is parking in the back). Cons: /pricing and white rice amount. I would give a large bowl of rice for the price of the dish vs a small bowl per person. /service — they were nice but need to be American waitress trained. Another word more attentive, come and ask us, instead of us asking for them all the time. Food: We only had one thing which is the 3 cup(meaning 3 wines) chicken and squid combined. It was good and felt clean. Overall 4 star for the tea and the cleanliness of restaurant.

Very fresh ingredients and tasty. Not much MSG put in the dishes. Perfect place to have a bowl of lamb soup when suffering the cold weather.

This is by far the best Taiwanese food restaurant in Los Angeles. They have lots of Taiwanese dishes that you just cannot find in any other restaurants in LA. Prices might be a little on the high end, but it’s well worth it to me considering the quality and selection.

Food is ok, and it is in the pricey range. The dishes were pretty small with the price. We were not full after the meal… They have a very famous steam fish. It tastes really good. The sauce matches the fish! However, it was too expensive that I do not think it worth the cost… Probably won’t return as I can simply get similar quality food in other places with a cheaper price!!!

A trusted foodie recommended this place and his advice was to order anything not familiar. The low ratings, he thinks, are from those who order kung pao chicken. We ordered pork belly, Taiwanese sausage appetizer, cucumber garlic appetizer and fried sticky rice dessert. No complaints on the food. Rice comes in individual bowls so if you want more you gotta flag down the waitress. The system is good for those who watch their carbs. It’s hella pricey though for chinese food. The portions are big. I think this place is good for big groups.

On Saturday night a large group of us went to Café Fusion for some Taiwanese food. Café Fusion is consistently the best Taiwanese cuisine(not street food) in L.A. Always authentic always good. Arthur, the owner is always there and keeps the quality of his food up to standards. We ordered the following: Black Cod my favorite always great Smoked and steamed Goose Kidney in rice wine and vermicelli Three cups chittlins and tofu Okra A Choi Bitter melon with slated duck egg Fried sticky rice Make reservations if you have a large party, the lines to get a table at 7 pm are long. 5 bottles of wine and a table of great friends = great evening.

Apparently every Taiwanese person in the 626 knows about Café Fusion. They’ve been around for a while and they advertise continuously on Chinese TV channels. Café Fusion is a fantastic and really authentic place for non-street/snack Taiwanese food. Been here twice and I’ve loved: *KINGCRAB — this will cost you a pretty penny(apparently cheaper than Newport Seafood($ 300 v. $ 600)) BUT the meat is so fresh and they give you mayo to dip it in. GENIUS *Chicken, San ya & Bamboo Soup — really light but really flavorful. *Marinated Cold Clams — it’s under the appetizers but apparently this is a very traditional Taiwanese dish. It’s sweet, salty, slightly salty and a lot of delicious! *Marinated Guava: they cut it up and season it with li hing powder. it tastes kind of like apple cinnamon! the only downside is that it costs $ 6 Even their tea is tasty and it’s from a tea bag! Amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was their milkfish. I just think i don’t like the taste of milkfish in general but it also lacked salt. I will say that it is more expensive like other reviews have said. It’s not snack food so you have to expect prices to be higher! I think there might be a lot of MSGTBH because I was super thirsty after… therefore, only 4 stars!

They should really change the name Café Fusion. There’s nothing«fusion» about this place at all! They serve nothing but extremely authentic Taiwanese comfort food. Even since we discovered this place, we’ve been going there every week! Each visit, we ordered different items and they have never let us down. We love their Steamed Black Cod($ 29, trust me, its cheaper than buying a fresh black cod from the fish market), Black Bean Oyster with Tofu, Bamboo Shouts with shredded Pork, Pork blood stirred fried with Leek. Don’t forget to purchase some fresh Asian fruits before you leave. They are well-priced and super fresh! Highly recommended!
