I’m so glad that I got to try this place before it closed. I didn’t even know it was closing and I came a few days before. I got so lucky! My boyfriend and I were driving around and couldn’t find the place. We saw a gym, but didn’t know that it would be located inside of it. The sign was barely visible and it was in the window. We had to sign in at the front in order to go to the café. There were a lot of teens up there. They have dance rooms and they were playing a lot of k-pop music and dancing. The café is located right to the side. GREENTEALATTE I like the green tea latte. It was light and had a hint of green tea. If you’re looking for matcha green tea then this is not for you. There’s not a strong green tea flavor and it’s not bitter at all. It’s a little bit too sweet, but not too much. The bear design was absolutely adorable. It did take a while for them to make it though, which came as a surprise because it wasn’t even busy. PASSIONFRUITTEALEMONADE I love this lemonade. I could really taste the passion fruit. It was so refreshing and not overly sweet. Definitely something I would love to order when it’s hot outside or just craving a refreshing beverage. With every drink order they gave a mini éclair. Everything was really cute. I am saddened that they are closing, but they have other locations around LA; so hopefully it won’t be too bad. This space is the epitome of what you would think a korean café would look like. They have such cute décor all around.

Located randomly in the Arcadia fitness center lies a hidden gem. Just walk past(sign in tho) the check in counter, head upstairs and you’ll see a cute korean style café. It’s not a big place but there’s usually not a line anyways to get a table Ive only tried two drinks there, the green tea latte and the taro latte. Between the two I like the taro better but I’m also more partial to taro. If you get a drink there, you’ll be greeted by a latte art of a bear. One was sleeping(or angry?) and the other was happier. Prices are on the more expensive at $ 5 something but regular milk ones are cheaper.

The cute little café is inside a gym upstairs. They’re actually closing it after March 6. Glad I was able to try it before it closes. 5 minutes before it even opened there were already more than 10 people waiting. There’s another location in Cerritos. I ordered the bulgogi quesadilla, the meat is really flavorful. There’s hot jalapeños on the inside for some kick. My friend and I also ordered the white peach black tea and passion fruit lemonade but it was very water down and not sweetened. The green tea latte was better.

This place was pretty cute. I like how it was randomly placed on the second floor of a fitness center — so freakin’ random. Overall the experience was pretty good without any real complaints. Our food was brought out in a very timely manner and the staff was very kind and polite. Our sandwiches were delicious and the cream puffs were a nice touch. Though in the end it was pretty much the same I can get elsewhere. If there was ANY complaint, it would be that the dude didn’t put any of the chocolate syrup on our green tea lattes to accentuate the smiley faces of the bears. But that’s only a minor complaint that I shouldn’t even mention it. Heh

This place is located above a gym. It’s actually a cute little place. We ordered lattes and they come with a cute lil cookie or pastry. The ambiance is casual, simple but very cute. Very Japaneezy! Kawaii! We ordered a waffle with green tea ice cream. The waffle is just the right crispy! Service is great here too! There’s also a place for kids to color and play! So it’s kid friendly! My friend and I came here for a girl’s date. Café Maji is such a cute café! It’s located on the 2nd floor of the Arcadia Fitness center. You sign in at the front desk and just go up the stairs. I highly recommend their green tea latte and the bulgogi quesadillas! The green tea latte is non-caffeinated but still oh-so-delicious! Flavors are spot on and it totally warms you up. I love the latte art as well. The quesadillas are really savory and yummy. A definite must try! Overall, the drinks/food on the menu can be a bit steep, but the quality is great and there’s plenty of seatings for you to just chat the night away while you sip on some drinks. The only downside so far is that they have changed their hours and they close earlier now! But service is friendly, and there’s plenty of parking.

Café Maji is the cutest little café you’ll find in the weirdest location ever. It’s a hidden café upstairs at a gym. So random. You enter through the gym and have to sign-in before you can go upstairs to the café. However, once you’re up there, you forget you’re in a gym because the décor of the café is super cute. It’s pretty small though with only a few tables. The food & drinks definitely go with the cute theme of the place. Their drinks come in cute mason jars or with adorable latte art. My go-to is the passion fruit tea lemonade which tastes just like the one from Starbucks. Their green tea latte is pretty good too. As for food, the bulgogi quesadilla is yummy. You can never go wrong with Korean-Mexican fusion food. I’ve also tried the strawberry waffle which was decent but nothing amazing. Definitely a cute place to come with your gal pals!

If only I could be naughty every day but I can’t, so my review is solely based on the latte’s here; not the wonderful desserts. I plan on coming back to taste each and every one of them. I came here with my friend MarVy because I wanted to get one of the cool coffee art drinks I had seen online. This place has the most amazing artists. They designed my latte’s like a piece of artwork. I told them what I wanted and they said they would try ANYTHING we asked them to do. How awesome is that! I ordered the Taro tea latte and a Green tea latte. The latte’s are served with a cream puff but it wasn’t that great. MarVy ordered a Green tea latte and the Maji sandwich. The drinks were good but they weren’t sweet enough for me. I guess you have the option to get them sweeter, so next time I would definitely do that. However, I really loved the art work. I felt the love in my cup! This place is in a weird location. It’s on the second floor of a fitness gym and I had a hard time finding it. I would have gave it 5 stars if it was in a better location.

3 stars because it is at a weird location, located on top of a fitness center where you need to sign in before you go upstairs, and the seating is a bit tight/awkward(too many loud conversations I don’t need to hear lol). The awkward location makes it feel like it is a temporary spot until they find something more solid. I will definitely come back when that happens because I love the cute décor and the hats the employees wear! I gave it 3 stars also because everything is so pricey. The day we went, their coffee machine wasn’t working. I wish they gave some sort of a discount for this inconvenience. What if I was in desperate need for caffeine? I’m still paying full price for this? Ugh. I am glad I double checked with the staff what the famous cotton candy dessert was, which was the Snow Affogato; I’m sure from the pictures I would be disappointed if I mistakenly got the Affogato Iced Coffee. I came here mainly for the Snow Affogato from the fun videos I see online, and I was very happy with the ice cream surprise at the end. They gave me hot chocolate instead of coffee, so I’m sure coffee would have been better. Too bad. We also ended up getting a Green Tea Latte(again, because their coffee machine wasn’t working) and we liked the cute latte art we got on there(we got a bear) and the ice cream puff included. Overall I would say this was a good experience, but a one time try. My bill was $ 13.30 for the two items we got :(I’m sure it doesn’t cost them THAT much to even make it but whatever. That’s why it’s on my one time try list Video for the melting cotton candy:

Café Maji is located on the 2nd floor of a fitness center. You have to sign in when you come. I visited Café Maji for the first time to check out their cotton candy affogato. For those who don’t know, an affogato is expresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Here, they have different variations and flavors of affogato. The cotton candy one is fun and very interactive as you pour the hot expresso over the cotton candy and watch it melt and reveal your ice cream. it’s very sweet as your cotton candy adds extra sweetness. I came back to order an affogato to go. I ordered an iced affogato instead instead of the hot version. I didn’t like it. The vanilla ice cream was extremely icy and not creamy. i’m not sure if it was because it froze incorrectly or if the iced coffee made it icy. Overall, pretty pricey for a cup of coffee and ice cream.

My last review was so long ago so let’s pretend this is the first. I come here way too often. Alone. Lol. This is my perfect go-to study spot since it’s just down the street. There are a good amount of outlets and even though it’s small, there’s usually enough seating. Everything about this place is cute from the chairs and tables to the book shelves and drinks. All the drinks are served on cute wooden trays and come with a mini dessert on the side. I’ve had mini eclairs and cream puffs before. I wish they came with 5 because one just doesn’t cut it. I usually get a green tea latte, but I’ve also had the iced drinks. You can’t go wrong so to anyone reading this that can’t decide on a drink, just pick already! Last time I came with a friend we shared a bulgogi quesadilla and o m g why have I not tried this before?! Just thinking about it right now makes me want to take a shot of vodka and run to my closest taco truck since it’s past midnight. I’ve also had the waffle desserts. Yummy as well. To the first timers, this place might be tricky to find. It’s located on the second floor. It’s in the same building as a gym? I don’t know if it’s considered a gym, but yeah. The downside to this place is that it can get kind of annoying listening to balls hitting the wall, but you eventually just drown it out. I’ll be back. See you tomorrow Café Maji. I have an assignment to finish.

I was a little confused when we first arrived at the address– I totally thought we were at the wrong place because we were in the parking lot for a fitness center. But turns out the café is inside! I’m so glad we found this place; we had just done a hike to Sturdevant Falls, and were super parched because we didn’t bring enough water. So we were scoping out nearby places to grab a drink on Unilocal and the gorgeous pics from Café Maji caught our eye! Well, I’m happy to say that their items are more than just aesthetically pleasing! We ordered a passion fruit tea lemonade and a snow affogato. OMG the«snow»(cotton candy) was so fun to watch disappear as we poured the espresso over it, and it also tasted amazing! The texture of the cotton candy went(surprisingly) amazingly well with the affogato! We almost asked for more cotton candy because it was such a good combo. The passion fruit iced tea was soooo refreshing, and not overly sweet, which we were concerned might be the case. It also came with a cute little éclair on the side! The prices are very reasonable for what you get – the servings are huge! The snow affogato came in a huge bowl with about 3 scoops of ice cream. When we were getting ready to leave, we asked for a to-go cup to take the remaining half of our iced tea and it looked like we still had a full serving! Definitely recommend this place! Wish it were closer to me :)

Odd location I thought, when I came here for the first time. It’s located on the second floor inside a sports club. Prior to walking up the stairs, you must sign in(name and time); the clipboard is hanging on the wall. Once you are upstairs you’ll see tables and chairs. On the opposite side is a dance studio. It’s spacious, clean, and casual. :Drinks: I’ve had a few drinks and I liked all of them especially the Green Tea Latte. The Affogato Style Iced Coffee comes in a Mason Jar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My Green Tea Latte is served with a cute design and a mini cream puff. It’s naturally sweet, they don’t add any sweetener. I also tasted the strawberry fresh juice and it also comes with a cream puff. It has a light strawberry flavor and they use fresh fruits. ( ) ( ) ( ) :Food: I tried the Sandwich Maji which has Bolgogi and comes with a side of fruits. The Quesadillas has marinated beef, jalapeño, and mozzarella cheese, sour cream, and a side of tomatoes and onions; it has a light spicy kick. I enjoyed both dishes and would order it again! ( ) ( ) :Desserts: The two desserts that I ordered are, the waffle that is topped with Nutella, strawberry slices, and whip cream. Second one is another waffle but this time it has bananas instead of strawberries. The bananas were over ripped, I like the strawberry better. I also wanted a scoop of vanilla ice cream, it costed $ 1.50 extra. The waffles are just«ok». ( ) ( ) :Customer Service: Polite and friendly. :Highlight: I really like the drinks and the food that I mentioned above. The desserts is not the best but average. I love the presentation, it’s cute and stylish. The bill comes in a basket. If you pay with a credit card they bring an ipad to sign the bill. Overall, I like the chill setting, drinks, and food. :Rating: Based on my experiance I am giving this place 3.5 Stars, rounding it off to 4. :M’s Notes: ~Per their menu, the WiFi password changes every 3 hours ~Indoor seating ~Parking lot

After you get over the fact that it’s above a gym and not that obvious from the outside. This place is the cutest place EVER… All of the staff have on fedoras and the place is decorated so nicely. Little bookshelves, flowers — it’s everything hipster and cute that you’d ever want to instagram /snapchat. Honestly, I think anything that you order is going to look so perfect. All the drinks come with a small cream puff on the side. I would recommend trying the Passion Fruit Tea Lemonade. The bulgogi quesadilla is super yummy. They don’t have too many food options(compared to drinks) so I would definitely get that if you’re hungry.

What’s with the hype? not only is it hidden inside a sign-less building, you have to sign in to walk up to the coffee shop(write down you’re Batman, seriously, what is the point?) Today unfortunately, the espresso machine was down, so came all the way here for NOCOFFEE? And why do you only have one machine when it is a coffee shop? Had to make do with the«overpriced for the experience» waffle(strawberry and banana with whipped cream). What a terrible waffle. The batter tasted like raw dough, we both agreed. It wasn’t toasty outside, not dense enough. The only delicious thing were the bananas, on point. Thank you nature. Place is full of kids. Won’t come back.

Don’t believe the hype! [This review is regarding the venue and snow affogato only!] The instagram-famous snow affogato is only good for just that — instagram. The cotton candy is standard but coupled with 3(three!!!) scoops of ice cream the sugar was way too overwhelming. Normally you could balance this with the espresso but the espresso was horrible. It was bitter and had no body whatsoever. I would have been down to spend that much money if the espresso was at least decent but nah. The venue itself is located in a fitness center, so the café, by extension, smells like a sweaty gym. The area is decorated cutely but I find the atmosphere to be awkward due to the location in the gym. Parts of that floor seemed old or not well kept as well.

If you’re looking for a dose of daily cuteness, come to Café Maji. Located on the second floor of a gym(so random), you’ll find mismatched chairs, little baristas in quirky fedoras and aprons, and a younger crowd. People have been telling me for a long time to go visit this place because it’s «kawaii»(cute) and I tend to love that stuff — so yesterday my boyfriend and I decided to try a bunch of random places just for fun. — Taro Latte(hot) — While I was happy to see my latte had a little bear design on it, the first sips tasted pretty good too! It wasn’t too sweet and it definitely tasted like taro. My problem with the latte, however, was that at the end it tasted pretty chalky and it made me assume they used too much powder for my drink. — Affogato(regular with ice cream) — the expresso tasted cheap so I think the beans they were using aren’t anything special. It was served in a cute little mason jar with a little garnish on top. All drinks come with a little pastry and this time, it was a little chocolate éclair that suspiciously looks like the ones from Costco. It also came frozen and not at room temperature. While the drinks were okay, the service seemed lacking. The group of people working during the time I was there were hanging out and were not paying attention to their customers. We sat there for 10 – 15 minutes before we even got their attention by flagging them down. This also happened when we were waiting for the check. There’s no reason these young baristas couldn’t attend to us especially since it wasn’t crowded and you could clearly see them just laughing and giggling with one another. Yes, it’s cute and as people mentioned it is «instagram-worthy,» but I just don’t think this place is worth it since the drinks were«meh» and their service needs to be worked on too.

This will be a short review because quite frankly, I was thoroughly unimpressed. Unimpressed with the beverages(we ordered), the prices for some of the items, and the staff’s lack of knowledge of their menu. Beverages ordered: Irish Latte with soy milk — Came with a petite chocolate puff, a little sweet but tolerable. Snow Affogato — Sweet lord, thisdamn this was craaaaaazzzy sweet, in a bad way. 3 scoops of ice-cream sit below the mountain of cotton candy and you drizzle the single shot of espresso on top to make it look like the«snow» is melting. This made a nice video for instagram but at almost $ 7… no thanks. Lavender Latte — This came with the most adorable 3D bear latte art. But that’s where the good stops. I couldn’t taste the lavender but could taste all the sugar that went into it. Staff: The girls were sweet enough but when my friend had a few questions about the Snow affogato: — How is the cotton candy made? — What brand of ice cream is used in the affogatos? — How long does it take to make the cotton candy and how is it stored? To which one of the girls impatiently replied, «I DON’T KNOW.» Which of course prompted my friend to reply with, «How come you don’t know your menu if you work here?» She wasn’t trying to e rude or anything but she comes from the coffee/café industry and isn’t used to walking into an establishment and the employees don’t know what they’re serving. The girl angrily replied, «The managers don’t tell us everything. So how can I know?» Seeing it was a lost cause my friend just left it at that and made a mental note to ensure that the employees at the café she trains at know their shit. I agree with my friend, the staff of an establishment need to know their menus to sell their products. Plain and simple. I only recommend this joint if you’re looking for a cute video. But quality, naaah, sorry.

Located inside a fitness gym upstairs, sharing space with the group exercise studio, is already unique in itself. Upon entering, you just tell the attendant you’re going to the café and write your name on this clipboard. I came with 3 friends on a Sunday afternoon and we didn’t have to wait too long for a table. Note that there’s not much seating overall. Menu options aren’t too overwhelming. I got the red bean and green tea ice cream waffle, $ 8.25. It was a bit too much for 1 person but good amount to share with another person. The item tasted ok, slightly too sweet if you’re only eating that. I felt I needed something salty to balance things out. Ambiance was ok, cute décor. My gripe would be that the high ceiling and sound acoustics of the room made it really difficult to hear and have conversation. Also, the blenders were running as well. Overall, ok experience but I probably wouldn’t come back unless someone else wants to try it.
