Yeah the drinks are average as someone else said. Hubby got the regular boba milk tea and it tasted watered down. I got a jasmine green tea and it was a little on the bitter side. Not amazing. The atmosphere is nice and spacious though. A good number of tables and people studying as well as playing card games. We came here to catch up with an old friend and it was conducive to that but based on drinks I wouldn’t return. Maybe if I was a college student still and needed a hangout spot.

Two thumbs up for the drinks over here, I wouldn’t NEVER recommend ordering Egg waffle from them. They why how they served is cold and soggy. not worth 5 bucks for room temperature waffle!

SO I really want to keep this place a secret. So that people don’t come here and I have all the open tables to myself: X but I guess this will be my best kept secret that I will finally divulge. Initially, I stopped into Night Owl Café(right next door) to get some studying done but it was packed. I was about to leave the plaza in its entirety until I saw Chatime. I took the chance to see what it looked like inside and I was so pleasantly surprised! The interior is clean and spacious. There are outlets for each table which is AWESOME. The workers are so nice and personally bring your drinks out to you after ordering at the register. I tried the Americano(not bad) and I’d reccomend the hot brown rice green tea which is AMAZING if you’re into that. Awesome study spot. But stay away, so I can study here in peace :)(jk) FREEWIFI

Went there for my first time and I surprised that I have never been there. 15% if you have five stars! I ordered my regular, milk tea with red bean topping and half sugar! Omg I was blown away, I really like their milk tea. You can tell they don’t use the powder. Usually at other boba places, even if you ask for less or half sugar, it’s still VERY sweet. I would definitely come back here again and I will update my review to 5 stars if I have another pleasant experience.

I looooove this place. I am regular customer now. I think what i love the most is the choices you have & the toppings you can add in your drinks. Besides, you can adjust the sweetness level of your drink. It range from 0% no sugar at all, 30%, 50%, and 100% sugar… something like that. I always ask for mango smoothie with double puddingyeaaa so good and it’s only $.50 per topping. Super affordable. You should also trythe jasmine milk tea with boba; delicious. Employees are so nice. This place is always clean. They also offer free wifi. And you can accumulate points til you get your free drink.

I would give 5 stars but most of the drinks are not that great. What is great is the atmosphere and I like their flavored tea. My sister is obsessed with their stone goddess oolong. Not sure if thats the right name for it, but she loves it. Whats good: — Fruit Teas(green mango tea similar but slightly better than Coco) — Oolong teas Whats bad: — Milk Teas — Thai Teas The atmosphere is great for using a laptop, it’s never too crowded, I use my own wifi so I cant comment on that, the staff is SO friendly, often bring my drink to my table. I really enjoy every experience and prefer their fruit tea to Coco. Since I cant drink milk teas right now, I’m frequenting here.

Came on a Saturday afternoon, it was nice that there was no line and that our drinks didn’t take long to make. The place is very clean and spacious, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Some of the seating have outlets which is great for students. I orders a Large Boba Milk and my sister had a Matcha Milk Tea with Red Bean. I felt my Milk Tea was a bit more on the bland side. Their Boba is just regular Boba so there is no Honey flavor to it. My sisters drink was terrible. It still had powder chucks in it. With every sip there was a chuck of powder with the red bean. The prices for the drinks are reasonable, it came out for about $ 9 for 2 drinks. I would come back to give it another try if I was in the area

I think the drinks and service here are great. The wifi is really fast too. It’s a great place to study, except the music is played a bit loudly. Good use of noise cancelling headphones here. I got the matcha latte with 30% sweet and grass jelly. Everything was on point! They definitely use real matcha powder and the fragrance of the grass jelly came through. Will definitely return. Just wish they offered food in store too.

I was pleasantly surprised when I only paid $ 2.05 for a regular sized drink with a topping, and it was worth this price(would not have been if it weren’t for this offer). The place was very loud compared to the other café next door. The wifi kept crashing, but I assume this is because of the amount of people using the wifi. The drinks weren’t very impressive, but they made the drinks very quickly and it is worth it for 50% off.

What time is itttttttttt??? ChaaaaaaTime. :) Promotion/1 year anniversary: Oct.1−17… Buy one get one free when you use the five star reward system. Oct.18(1 year anniversary)…50% off drinks. Oct 19−31… Get 1 drink by sharing picture on their facebook page. Mini-mum-mums: $ 3.75 to drink in and hang out and no minimums for cards, but they charge $.30. American express is accepted! Price point: A bit pricey. I basically came for their promotions. # of visits: 2 times. Entertainment: Pick a card game or magazine to read from their black shelf located next to the register. Ambiance: Club-like feeling when you first step in with loud music playing in the background. Not a ideal place to work or study on the weekends and at night. It’ll be better to study/work in the daytime on the weekdays. Service: I thought the staffers were friendly and attentive. Drinks came out fast… only five minutes. Very good! Their gauge of sweetnes is a bit off. At 30% sweet, I still felt it was still sweet for me. I asked if they can pour a little bit more tea for me and guess what? They DID! Problem solved! Tip: The minimum sugar level is 30%. I asked if I could do ¼ sugar, but sadly they said no. Don’t get why they can’t gauge sugar content less than 30% like other places. Drink of choice: Get their passion fruit green tea. John’s Unilocal of approval! Just make sure the sugar level is to your liking. Expensive price tag= okay place to me. Won’t be back often.

They have a huge buy 1 get 150% off banner for their«1 year anniversary». We go in for Thai Teas but the buy 1 get 1 doesn’t apply for Thai Teas… go figure.

Well I rolled in here with the munchkin to check it out as we both love boba… and well we both came away wondering if we would ever return. The décor was kewl. The equipment seemed new. The staff seemed inexperienced. The drinks didn’t seem to be en pointe. Perhaps it was due to the staffs inexperience or perhaps the drinks here just are not made as well as or with as good as ingredients as other joints. However when we tasted our drinks we just didn’t like them all that much. In fact neither of us finished our drinks and we both ended up throwing about half of it away. Ohhhh well you live and learn and realize that sometimes, things just suck and its worth or as in this case NOT worth going back. meh… EDIT: In response to Chatimes comment: I had Lychee and my daughter had mango. Regardless her response was incorrect as there were only two guys on duty when I came in with my daughter. Regardless I still wont be back.

I was so excited to try this place because it’s new and it’s in my area! The place is pretty big but there are only 6 big tables and one bar seating with 4 seats. They have games to play such as cards and jenga and they have free wifi(the phone number). Ordering the drinks were hard because I didn’t know what to get. I decided on the chatime roasted milk tea and Matcha red bean milk tea(I originally wanted the taro instead of matcha but they ran out and told me in a mean way) both with boba. The chatime roasted milk tea was pretty good. It tasted like a regular milk tea. The matcha red bean milk tea tasted like a matcha tea with bits of red bean in it. It tasted kind of weird. They put too much matcha powder. I wouldn’t recommend it. The boba was good though. It wasn’t too soft and it wasn’t too hard. I waited for my drink for a long time and it looked like other people were waiting for a while too. Maybe it’s because there was only 1 worker at the time, but another one came later. Either way, the workers are slow and kind of rude. As of right now they only have drinks and brick toast. I will come back to try some of their green/black teas.

We found Cha Time from the quarterly city magazine. The drinks are pricey without a coupon. If you compare the price and size to a Half & Half size cup, it’s not worth the price. I got my drink 80% sweet and it was still too sweet. I’m not even sure I could enjoy the oolong tea taste over how sweet my drink was. Unilocal 100 Challenge — 85 of 100

2.5 stars for this new boba shop. Almost gave them a 2 but bumped it up cause they were playing my favorite jams: Jay Chou ftw! Haha. We came here cause we had their BOGO coupon. My sister got the brown rice green milk tea and forgot to ask for less sugar while my cousin got the Chatime Milk Tea and asked for half sugar. After a moderate wait time, we got the drinks. The half sugar drink was just as sweet if not sweeter than the full sugar one so I don’t know if they forgot to put half sugar or just didn’t measure it out right. Overall, the flavor of the drinks themselves were pretty good, but be sure to ask for half sugar cause their drinks are too sweet.(And this is coming from me, the sugar maniac.) We ended up adding more water to the drinks to dilute the sweetness. Also, they neglected to wipe the cup of any overflowed drink that dripped down the side which meant we had a STICKY cup!!! Ughhh, this is one of my pet peevesss. Wipe it down next time, please!

I was really excited to learn that a Chatime was opening up in Arcadia. There aren’t too many good boba places in Arcadia, so I was really looking forward to trying the tea at Chatime. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to my expectations and I left feeling thoroughly underwhelmed and disappointed. During the soft opening, Chatime had the promotion of 20% off all drinks — but the promotion wasn’t automatically given to you. I guess you needed to check in on Unilocal in order to receive the discount. My dad went to buy a large boba milk tea and there was no 20% off so he paid almost $ 5 for a milk tea that you could probably buy for around $ 3 elsewhere. During the first week of the grand opening(which just passed), Chatime had the promotion of a buy any drink, get a boba milk tea or grass jelly milk tea for free. I took advantage of the deal and came in on the last day of the promotion to try their teas for myself. The sitting area was full of people, but there wasn’t anybody in line. I ordered quickly(1 boba milk tea, 1 grass jelly) and waited for my drink. And waited … and waited some more. I noticed a few alarming cons that really made me question whether or not I wanted to drink my drink. 1) There were four workers in the kitchen area trying to make the drinks. The area isn’t big, but even with the 4 workers, the drinks did not come out any faster than when there were only 2 workers. 2) The workers aren’t efficient at making the drinks. I watched as they added ice into a cup, then poured tea and shook a canister before pouring the canister into the cup. But then they repoured the cup elsewhere and poured it back and … the cycle went on a couple of times — this really delayed the drink making process. 3) I don’t think it’s too difficult to pour the drinks into the cup, but I saw more than once the worker pouring the canister into the cup and making it overflow onto the sides of the cup and onto the sink. If the cup is going to overflow, stop pouring! It isn’t necessary to spill. Thus some cups got pretty sticky. 4) This one really made me cringe … so when the worker poured in too much tea and realized that it might make the machine have a hard time sealing the plastic lid onto the cup, he used his BARE hands to wipe off the surface of the cup and deliberately spill the tea into the sink before sealing the cup. He did this twice. I don’t know if I’m being too picky, but I don’t really want to drink anything where somebody used his/her hand to handle the drink. 5) Most of the patrons inside Chatime were customers waiting for their to-go order. Two people ahead of me complained that they had waited over 20 minutes for their drinks. I suppose I wouldn’t have minded if I was with a friend, but since I was by myself … I didn’t have much to do except watch the clock tick away. 6) They began to skip the order and would call out numbers. There wasn’t an organized system and needless to say, by the time my number was finally called 25minutes later, I was pretty impatient. 25 minutes for mediocre boba milk tea isn’t something worth waiting for. Overall, the quality of the drinks and the price of the drink … definitely not worth the visit in my opinion. Without the buy one get one free deal, I would have been paying somewhere close to $ 7 for Banh Mi Che Cali or Tapioca Express milk tea. The one good thing about the drink was that it did taste decent: the boba was nice and chewy and the tea was sweet, but almost a 30 minute wait ??? I can only say they’re probably still trying to work out the kinks. The interior of the store isn’t too bad. Very big, comfy chairs and nice design. I do like the purple color scheme and the electronic menu. I can see kids staying here and studying for quite awhile. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which is a plus. tl;dr — I would skip over this place and go somewhere else if I ever get a boba craving. The prices are too expensive for a drink that isn’t worth it. Credit cards are only accepted if the purchase if $ 5 and up.

we met up with a friend here since she found out that it was just grand opening so we thought we gave it a try. They had a promo going on where u buy one get one free, so both ended getting the milk tea with grass jelly. The drink itself in my opinion, i liked it. but my friend thought it was a little sweet. The milk tea was creamy and good. and the grass jelly was so smooth! it can just melt in your mouth! its a really cute small hang out place but its kinda hidden inside a CVS plaza. staff greets you once you walk in, the place is nice and clean and the decorations are pretty cute. we would probably come here again if im in the area.

Nice new place around the corner from my house. On my second visit, the place was lively, with nary a seat to be found. I took my grass jelly tea to go. Chatime has an extensive menu, with options for ice and sweetness. The new store is very clean and modern, and the entire staff greetings as I walked in was a nice touch, reminiscent of hearing the chefs yell«Irasshaimase!» when you enter a sushi bar. Friendly! My drink was well made, to order, prepared quickly, and was delicious and refreshing. I opted for light ice, Andy drink was still plenty cold enough throughout. What a superior experience to Tea Station down the street, where I felt like a leper for wanting to buy something. I’ll be back… And don’t worry K… No more candid photographs :)

The new boba place in town! Located in the CVS plaza on Las Tunas a couple doors down from Night Owl. Their pearl milk tea has a great authentic flavor and the mango smoothie is pretty darn good too. I didn’t love their mango green tea but that might have been because I got it with regular sugar and it was too sweet for me. They let you choose your preferred sweetness level(no sugar, 30% sugar, half sugar, 80% sugar, or regular) and also the amount of ice you want(no ice, half ice, regular, or more ice — which I find kinda ridiculous because why would anyone ever choose to get more ice lol…). Normally I’m a huge sweet tooth but I’d stick to half or 80% sugar here. There isn’t a whole lot of indoor seating but it seems more of a takeout place than a sit in café. Since they have wifi you can definitely bring your laptop in to get some work done. Personally the white and purple color scheme isn’t working for me. This place can definitely use some improvement on its décor/interior design. Right now they’re offering a soft opening deal which is 20% off everything up until 10⁄17 and then from 10⁄18 — 10⁄24 they have a grand opening deal that’s buy any drink get either a pearl milk tea or grass jelly roasted milk tea free! Cash only up until their grand opening on 10⁄24.
