I honestly love this place! I’m obsessed with this place! I love the carnitas fries and shrimp sambaps! Also the tacos are soooo good. Shrimp Skewers. So much to chose from! It suck that they don’t have the West Covina location thou :(:’(I wish they put it back! Missing the manager Stephanie! Cashiers are cool, I just feel Gill isn’t a sincere person. There’s something about her I dislike:/ sorry. I noticed that whenever the boss is there she acts a little different. I just felt she was been fake. Sorry again Boss: a super cool guy!!:)

Been here a few times before but finally went back again because my friend took me. I remember not liking it back then and I still didn’t really enjoy it this time around. I’ve gotten to try the poke nachos, pumpkin fries, and beef wang. I am not really into any of their dishes because they are made to look extra fancy with many ingredients and colors and such but are overly done and nothing innovative in terms of flavor. Flavors either don’t really go well together or the dish is just way too heavy altogether. The pumpkin fries were drenched in oil from what I remember and just alright. The poke nachos were good but the poke was marinated in just the average soy sauce sesame oil mix and as usual any mainland food spot serving poke, the tuna quality was just average. The beef wang was alright too but the flavors were the same that you would get at any specialty chinese restaurant. i wasn’t a fan of how many ingredients were in the dish because I just didn’t think all of them went too well together/were necessary. Cha Café may be a place to try once or twice but I don’t see myself going back because it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere and has nothing to offer me that I couldn’t find in the Monterey Park area.

I was looking for a place to meet a friend and was not disappointed. Of course, I had to try the Ramen burger and Ninja fries, just cuz and they were delightful. Their house dipping sauce is the bomb and I loved the Peach mojito. It was perfect for a hot day. I highly recommend it for lunch or alternative to everyday dinner.

Food was good. Drinks are overly sweet and take a really long time to make. I came here with my cousins and we got the Strawberry Mojito, Horchata Frappé, Cheese Steak Fries, and the Carnitas Nachos. I guess they were short staffed the day I went there but they took about 20 minutes to make our drinks. Our food came out and we were about halfway done with it before the drinks came out. The Horchata Frappé was really really sweet. I never even knew a drink could have that much sugar but this one definitely had THAT much sugar. It had some horchata flavor but it wasn’t strong and was overpowered by the sweetness. We all liked the Strawberry Mojito a lot more. It had a good balance of sweetness and was really powerful. You definitely taste the strawberry and the mint. I’d get it again if I’m ever back here. Their food was the highlight of our time here(as it should be). The cheese steak fries had great flavor. If you’ve been to a korean food place then imagine bulgogi on top of perfectly fried fries topped with green onions and goodness. Their carnitas nachos had really soft and juicy pork on top of crispy perfectly fried nachos. The carnitas were covered with cheese and some house made pico de gallo.

My boyfriend who lives in the area is obsessed with this place and their ramen burger so he decided to take me here today on the way back to the OC where I live. The parking lot is pretty small, but we were able to get a spot. Cha Café has a small storefront, but that didn’t stop me from checking it out! It was empty with a few customers eating when we came inside. It has a very Japanese and Ninja vibe to the restaurant so I expected fusion food. After glancing at the menu, I went with the grilled chicken skewers with white rice and garden salad while my boyfriend got the ramen burger that came with french fries. My order came out to about $ 7. Food didn’t come out too long(within 7 – 10 minutes) and don’t forget to get some cha sauce! My skewers were flavorful and delicious that I hardly used the cha sauce which reminded me of spicy mayo but a little sweeter. I tried my boyfriend’s ramen burger and it was SO good especially when it’s dipped in the cha sauce. Overall, this place receives a full 5 stars from me. The customer service was attentive and the girl at the time was able to go out of her way to fix my mistake with my order. Thank you Cha! Will be back!

I’m a fan of Cha Café because of their take on Asian fusion cuisine. Here’s the low down on my order: Beef Wang — something akin to Korean Bulgogi(BBQ beef) with various mushrooms, eggs, and green onions served with steamed rice and their proprietary sauce… It’s a good change of pace from the usual Korean Bulgogi. Their sauce gives it a little tang and kick to the dish that I enjoy. Ssam with beef — this is another take on Korean food. Ssam, which basically means lettuce, is topped with some rice, veggies, beef and their sauce. You eat it with your hands like a taco basically stuff your mouth with it. If you’re not a meat person, they also have a vegetarian version with tofu, which I must say is pretty good too. Last but not least, Hawaiian Shaved Ice. Having tried really good shaved ice on Oahu and Maui, Cha Café’s version is the next best thing. The ice is not lumpy and clumped and the flavors they offer is a good variety. Oh, their sauce, in my opinion is something like an aioli with a saracha kick at the end

Came here looking for a nice place to study, and I’m not sure I found one. While there is nothing wrong with the food or drinks, this place is poorly lit and the music is really loud. Also, there are not very many outlets for charging so I’m a little turned off from this place as a study place. The girl who greeted me was not very friendly. She did not smile and didn’t seem to care for me as a customer. It was a bit of a turn off and I was dying to get away from her negativity. I ordered the Ninja Fries and a Mango Green Tea(as they didn’t have very many options for drinks), but I think the selling point for this place is the food. They advertise their food as «California Comfort Food,» which I think is quite accurate. They serve everything from fries and ramen burgers, to salads and tacos. They also have poke! Ninja Fries(5⁄5): I loved this! Ninja Fries are made from Japanese Pumpkin, which is one of my favorite, favorite, favorite fruits! The fries were thin and crispy. You can get them crispier if you ask for them«well done.» I really enjoyed these. They also give you spicy mayo as a sauce, but I opted to not use it because spicy mayo is often quite overpowering on the palate and masks all other flavors. Mango Green Tea(4⁄5): There’s nothing to love or hate about this drink. It was a mango green tea. What else is there to say? I will mention, however, that the drink is not overly sweet! Thank god because I gag when drinks are too sweet. Other than that, it seems most people come here for the food. I will be back to try other foods!

Not sure what we were thinking when we decided to drive a bit out of way to check this place out. I had seen reviews for this place while looking up other things and decided, «why not? Let’s just try it out.» As we pulled in, it was in a dingy strip mall with a water refill station next door. The restaurant itself was a bit«greasy» feeling as we walked in. Counter tops and tables did not seem clean. As soon as we walked in, two teen boys were waiting for their food. We took a look around and saw a majority of teens hanging out inside… An indicator to us ol’ foagies that this place is not for us. And that they might be a bit loud for our super sensitive hearing. We decided to order the chicken wings, the Beef Wang plate, and the cubed steak & eggs special. I will be honest, I was skeptical about what to expect. When we went to find a seat, the bench was heavily crumb and food particle-laden. Gross. Got our food. The beef Wang(not sure what Wang refers to… Testicles? …Beef testicles?) was basically strips of beef with strips of fried egg and mushrooms over rice. Nothing fancy. It’s a soy sauce based dish and you have the option to add their Cha sauce to flavor it up. As others have mentioned, the Cha sauce is essentially Sriracha and Mayo. The chicken wings were surprisingly tasty, Had a good crisp to it, and was also moist. Comes with a choice of buffalo or ranch sauce. The cubed steak and eggs came with a salad. Good dressing on the salad, decent portion and not overly dressed. The steak was cooked well done. Not sure what cut of steak it was but it was quite fatty. Decent flavor but nothing to write home about. The eggs… Overcooked. Would have been best if they were runny but they were not. Prices are a little steep for what you get. My cubed steak and eggs was $ 13 and the beef«Wang» was $ 9. Our chicken wings were $ 8. The wings, not too bad. The other two dishes… We felt like we could have gotten a better meal for less, elsewhere. Sadly, we will probably not be back. Probably a great option if you’re a local and maybe between the age of 14 – 22. :) otherwise, you might stick out like a sore thumb, like we did.

This is a quaint little spot in the corner next to a donut shop that apparently sells ice cream donuts! At first, I thought this place would be your typical boba shop that sell popcorn chicken and fried squid– but I was wrong. This place have a couple novelty items like the infamous ramen burger and fries topped with spam! Ambiance: Very casual, several televisions around the room Food: +Poke a la carte– it came with the sauce on the side and on a bed of lettuce. The poke was decent– I am not a poke connoisseur, but as long as it doesn’t taste fishy– I’m happy. * TIP: don’t use all it! add it a little bit at a time because I poured the whole thing in, and it was a little too salty for my liking +Pumpkin fries– I personally do not like fries(I know I am weird), but my friend ordered them and I thought they were delicious. The pumpkin fries tastes like sweet potato fries. But because of how thinly they were cut, it was also super crispy. +Spicy Sauce– I love this sauce! It’s like a spicy mayo/ranch blend. I put it on my poke and it lightened out the saltiness. MUSTTRY! Overall, I would recommend coming here for a late night bite.(They close at 11:45 pm).

3.5 stars. I always make it a point to come here when I’m in the area. Place is always clean and decently busy. Plus, open kinda late. The boba is nothing spectacular. The poke nachos were whatever. The ramen burger is okay, too. Very flavorful. The cheese burger is ironically really good. My go to order is the grilled BBQ skewers, mmmmmm :) And of course… THENINJAFRIES. Omg, SOAMAZING! Literally to-die-for. I can do some serious damage on an order of ninja fries and the«cha sauce» aka sriracha mayo.

Cha café… I kid you not, everything I’ve gotten here is good. But my favorite is the AHIPOKENACHOS. The chips are wontons, not tortilla chips which makes it so so so much meter! Their spicy cha sauce on top gives it a kick. Their ahi is mixed with green onions and onions. Alsooooo, a great filling meal beef wang bowl! The cha sauce with teriyaki greatly compliments the whole meal with strips of egg. Parking: small parking lot in front. Free parking. Ambiance: casual. Open late till 11:45 pm. Hipster. Has tvs so I imagine you could also ask them to put the game on! Free WiFi! I supposed if you’d like to study it work, do it!

I am happy to see this business doing so well, that it got rid of their daily specials which I love so dearly. I hope they bring it back someday… Their kabocha/pumpkin/ninja fries are a must try! It’s like tempura, but instead of a couple pieces you get a basketful! The batter is also crispy, so eat them when it’s fresh! I’ve also tried the ramen burger here, which I thought was a bit too salty, even for me. I ate half, cause the ramen buns seem to fill you up. I enjoyed the novelty, but I wouldn’t order it again. The poke nachos are made with fried wonton chips! Which I think gives it a unique and interesting spin on the word nachos. I like them, but poke is expensive. I like their fusion tacos too, the tangy mango salsa gives the flavored meat that little extra something! Lastly the cha cha chili sauce. With everything you order, I believe that sauce will help enhance the flavor! Most of their entrees already come with a drizzle of sauce, but if you’re like me, I like to have at least two extra Dixie cups filled with sauce!

So the perks of my dentist being so far from me is having a reason to drive and indulge in food spots that are just way too far on a regular day. Cha Café was found on my search of good eats in El Monte and it was worth the find. The café itself may not seem the most appealing from the outside but it’s a colorful spot the moment you step in. The color doesn’t stop there though. The one and most relevant(and colorful!) order I made here was their Cheesesteak fries! A to-go order but a well decided order. Those cheesesteak fries were sprinkled well with steak, cheese, bell peppers, green onions, and grilled onions. Personally, bell peppers can make any dish look appealing but goodness these fries were flavorful! No drizzled sauces needed!(That’s coming from a girl who ALWAYS loved her sauces.) Such a good combination of tastes. Those fries itself were perfectly crisp and chewy! Ordered other dishes as well but wasn’t as memorable! Service was also fast which didn’t make us wait too long either. Would definitely come back here for those!

The staff is very friendly. I asked about the ChaFruta and the staff member gave me a rundown of the how the drink tastes. It is like I could taste it in my mouth. The spicy aspect was a turn off. I did end up getting the HK Milk Tea. HK Milk Tea has a stronger taste than normal milk tea. They did a good job on it. Parking can be a little tough during rush hours. I have gotten the food before and it isn’t too bad. I’ll review the food next time I get it.

Heard about this place from the Fung Bros on YouTube and told myself that I had to come here! I ordered the ninja fries and beef wang box. Ninja fries were good with the sauce which I believe is just spicy mayo(sriracha & mayo). The beef wang box was just ok. I felt like it needed more flavor to it. Now that I think about it, I should’ve tried the ramen burger instead. I also ordered the honeydew green tea mojito, which is refreshing. Overall, I was kinda disappointed. The food was just OK and I feel like the Fung Bros just hyped it up and made it seem like it was omgggg helllllaaa good. The staff here was nice and friendly though.

Great variety of food, and many healthy options! My coworkers and I have been ordering lunch from Cha Café for the past couple months, and we absolutely love the Ssam Baps! Ssam Baps($ 4.95 — $ 5.95) are lettuce wraps with rice, mango salsa, and your choice of avocado, chicken, carnitas, kalbi beef, shrimp, or tofu. Each order comes with two lettuce wraps packed with toppings. We also usually get the Ninja Fries($ 5.95) which are zucchini fries to share. Another item that I’ve recently tried are the poke nanchos($ 9.95). They use crunchy wonton skin as their rendition of tortilla chips and it pairs very well with the poke. They give you a generous amount of poke in huge chunks! Their menu is extremely extensive and there’s pretty much something for everyone here. There’s burgers, tacos, sandwiches, wraps, and rice entrees. Everything has a touch of Asian fushion to it and I love how you can serve yourself their special sriracha mayo sauce which compliments everything on their menu.

This was my second time here and I decided to try something else. Since my boyfriend and I couldn’t finish our meal last time, we decided to ordered only 2 dishes and we barely finish them. We got the cheesesteak fries and a poke box. The poke box was good but nothing special. The fries was HUGE. It was filled up with steak, cheese, and special sauce. It was super delicious. I will definitely come back again and try other things. P/s: never forget their cha sauce. It’s good with everything.

cha café has been on my bookmark list for the longest time. i finally had the chance to check it out and while it didn’t blow me out of the water, it was pretty good for what it offered. i noticed this place a while back because i saw friends posting on facebook about a new place offering ramen burgers. yes you heard right, ramen burgers. i love trying new types of food, so i had to make it my mission to journey down here. when we came, it was pretty late, but luckily they are open late. they are located in the corner of a nondescript strip mall. it didn’t take too long to get the food, and once it came we wolf it down asap. we ordered the ramen burger and the beef wang box. we wanted to try the ninja fries, but decided it was too much food for just 2 people. the ramen burger was not bad… the meat was juicy and the ramen buns were kinda dry. i think if they were to infuse the ramen buns with kimchi, it would add 10x the flavors. the beef wang box on the other hand was really delicious. they also give you cha orange sauce for you to drench your food with. i think its a mixture of sriracha and mayo… i recommend this place and will come back to try other items!

Love coming here for the Wraps. Walk in Order at the counter and then have a seat, the staff will give you a number and will bring the food to you. Staff is always young, fun, and friendly. The owner is such a cool guy, i have been there a few times were he has came to my table just to say hello and see how everything is going. The food is always delicious and made to order. The drinks are so good, next time i gotta try the desserts(if i don’t eat too much) lol Its a great spot for lunch or dinner alone or with friends, I have also had great take out service. I had the ninja fries, they were pretty good. The cha sauce is really good, has dairy in it. I had the shrimp ssam bap. It was ok. It basically looks like a taco, but instead of a tortilla, it’s a piece of lettuce. And then there’s rice inside. And then shrimp, and some sort of thing I thought looked like mango salsa, though I’m not sure what it was. I also had the strawberry mojito. That was delicious. The first sip, all you taste is sweet strawberry, but then, in time, the mint hits you. It’s fresh mint. It’s good, I believe made with soda water. I’d definitely go back, just for the drinks!

We ordered the ninja fries, chicken Wang box, and kalbi tacos. They were super delicious, flavorful and had unique taste. The ninja fries was really creamy and crunchy, we couldn’t stop eating it. The kalbi tacos was the best tacos I have ever had. The chicken Wang box was a rice box and it was super good. Don’t forget to get their special sauce which was like a mixture of mayonnaise and shiracha. I really love this place and would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Friend suggest we try some place new. I got a poke wrap(comes with chips) and a chicken skewer combo(with rice, and salad of your choice). They come with three options: comfort, healthy, appetizer. Hence the name Cha Café. Anyways, you order the food up front and they bring it to you. My poke wrap was pretty good, along with very hard and crunchy potato chips. My chicken skewer combo/box was also very good. To enhance their food, you can choose to add their Cha sauce in your food. Can’t tell what it is, but it tastes/looks like some sort of thousand island. Mixes well with my skewer combo. They also have some tea drinks(Thai, Milk Tea, Fraps, etc some frozen). Foods such as ramen burger can be found here as well. They have self serving sauces and water as well. Staff was attentive. 5⁄5

Chicken Ssam was good. It’s like chopped up veggies & choice of protein with rice & cha sauce on a lettuce boat. Kalbi or Galbi beef taco was not bad/pretty good too. Bf liked the Ramen Burger, because it had flavor compared to The Original Ramen Burger in K-Town. I mean, I liked it too(doused it with Sriracha & Cha Sauce), but it was a little too hearty for me. Enjoyed their sweet potato fries. Tried their Lychee & Strawberry Mojito Tea. It was tasty & refreshing, though a little too syrupy for my taste. Nonetheless, the overall taste & experience was pleasant.

Having only been here once I didn’t have super high expectations going there but just walking through the door it was nice being greeted by Hope who clearly is one of the superstars here, she gave excellent service the entire time and this is not really the type of place where you expect to leave tips but I definitely gave her one. You order at the counter and they bring food to you. The food was excellent lots of flavor and the service was superb for a cute little food and coffee shop type place I was amazed. I see what the hype is about and why they deserve their five stars. Next time I’ll get the ramen burger when I’m not off carbs(if you are off carbs, grab the lettuce wrap tacos with no rice). My favorite food from Cha Café is the ninja fries! They are seriously amazing. The Cha sauce is must have. I tried replicating it at home. Not exactly same but close enough. I also enjoy one of the burritos they have on the menu. Try both beef and shrimp ssambap. I love them. Shrimp preferred. But beef is equally good as well. One of my go-to food places! Location can be easy to miss. It’s by cross street and at corner among other storefronts.

Overpriced. $ 10 for a ramen burger OR special fries? Service was nice, but I found the fact that they didn’t ask first before making the patty in my ramen burger«rare» concerning. There were some parts that were just way too pink. My boyfriend’s ramen burger patty was pretty pink as well. They brought it back to the kitchen to cook it longer for me, however. Other than that, the burger was delicious and filled me up. I didn’t care much for the chips, as I’m not a big fan of homemade potato chips. It was nice to try once, but I don’t know if I would come back again.

I’ve had the ramen burger twice now and have not been disappointed. Extremely flavorful in a very addicting way. Cut it in half and either share with a friend or save it for later(it heats up ok too). The patty was moist and tasty, and paired with the sauce and ramen buns, it’s so delicious. Probably best to save this for a special YOLO meal because the sodium is prob insane. I also tried a fruit smoothie which was pretty refreshing. The last time we came here to get a burger to-go, the service was outstanding. Maybe we were talking to the owner, but regardless, the guy was super friendly and really made us feel welcomed and valued as customers. We left with a really good impression of the place.

I have to admit I was very skeptical when we parked, but ended up pleasantly surprised. There are many choices so it can be overwhelming at first. I think it’s one of those places you need to return a few times to really try everything. We had the ahi tuna nachos and the beef wang rice box. We were impressed with both. The tuna was fresh and the flavors were great. I only wish there was a little more dressing to go around. The rice box would be a great option for takeout, and I like that it had a little crunch for texture. The icing on the cake was the chamoy gummy bears I got to go!

I’ve been here a couple times but this review is for the to-go service! The staff is quick and friendly upon entering. I ordered the beef wang, which came in a nice microwavable container ! Not like your typical to-go styrofoam boxes. Portions are pretty huge too. I couldn’t finish the meal and was able to save about half for the following day for lunch. The beef wang is delicious, and the cha sauce makes it even better. It comes with rice, tofu, mushroom, crispy onions, green onions, and of course, the sliced beef, drenched in their special sauce. It is sweet, but not overwhelmingly. The sauce is similar to the spicy mayo sauce regularly seen with sushi. Side note, get the poke nachos. From what I remember, I really liked them when I went previously.

I was in the mood for a ramen burger so I searched my trusty sidekick and to my surprise there was a place 6 minutes away from me! When we arrived there were about 3 occupied tables. I already knew what I wanted so I proceeded to order and then grabbed a seat. This place is cute, small, and cozy. It was freezing outside and the temp inside was just right. The two gals working were very friendly and helpful. My burger was pretty good and very filling! I skipped the house chips and opted for fries, which I regret doing so because the house chips are so yum. The Cha sauce(house sauce) added a nice kick to it and complimented the burger well. You can use that sauce on just about anything. This place has a variety of drink and food items. Tea with boba to a chamango! Ramen burger to spam and eggs. At the counter they have chili covered gummy bears and rings. I had to snag some chili covered green apple gummy rings. It definitely is comfort food. They close at midnight everyday so if you need a late night snack I definitely recommend stopping by.

Lunch on Monday, 11÷2÷15(first time visiting) We found his place from Unilocal. It wasn’t difficult to locate since I knew the area. I used to go to Sir Pizza and Roasted Chicken. Cha Café is located in the same plaza. They have a small parking lot but we were able to find parking around 1:15pm for lunch. We told the cashier it was our first time so he recommended the Beef Wang and the lettuce wrap to share between two people. We decided on the Beef Wang and chicken wings though. They were both amazing! The beef wang was filled with pieces of beef and vegetables over a layer of rice. The chicken wings fall off the bone and has a light crisp to the skin. They both taste great with their Cha sauce. I believe it’s garlic aioli mixed with sriracha sauce. Two orders were just enough to fill us up along with a ChaFruta beverage, which is very similar to the Mexican mango drink with tamarind flavor and powder. Since it was our first visit, we didn’t get to try anything else but the menu looks promising. The menu prices aren’t outrageous but it isn’t cheap either. The selection looks great since it accommodates a healthy foods section along with the comfort foods section. Ramen burgers are available if you’re into that, not me though. Good food, friendly service, and a clean environment so we’ll be back for more.

Came here for lunch with my sister since we were in the area. They have menus near the front for you to view and then place your order. After paying, they will deliver the order to your table if you’re dining in. Parking lot is pretty small and can fill up since Cha Café shares it with the other businesses in this small plaza. I parked on the street right by the plaza entrance. We ordered: Beef Wang Box: This is a rice bowl with stir fried Kalbi beef, baked eggs, and mushrooms. It was so delicious and we enjoyed it very much! We added the Cha sauce and it made a delicious meal even more yummy. Seriously, I think you should add the Cha sauce on everything, it’s so good! It seems to be spicy mayo but not spicy at all, so no need to worry if you’re not a fan on spicy. Ramen Burger: My sister really wanted to try this and honestly, it was disappointing. Interesting concept, but we both agreed that it didn’t taste good. The flavoring was so bland, the ramen didn’t really taste like anything. I don’t know if it depends on the restaurant making it, but we’re definitely not ordering ramen burgers again anytime soon. Overall, it was pretty good if you disregard the ramen burger. Workers were friendly and the ambience was very chill, nice spot for friends to hang out. They had a good amount of food items on the menu, some I don’t mind trying next time!

I came here around 1−2pm. It was not too busy. I ordered the Poke Nachos and a Strawberry and Lychee Mojito. The mojitos are okay. It’s great for a hot day. Maybe the ice needs to be crushed more. And as for the drink I got, the lychee was a bit overpowering that it was hard to taste the strawberry. The poke nachos were good, along with the sauce it comes with. The poke itself was pretty fresh. Overall, nice staff and they have quite a selection of interesting fusion foods. So, maybe I’ll be around again next time.

Oh, and because I’m a sucker for fries. It’s a chill spot to hang out with friends despite how random this little plaza is located. The fries were plentiful for the two of us to share. The onions, steak, cheese, and house cha sauce gave the fries so much flavor. I especially loved the house cha sauce and poured so much more on top, yum.

I ordered the ahi tuna poke salad. It was okay. The fish was kinda fresh, but bland and texture was a little mushy. The salad dressing was good, I should have asked for 2 containers had I known the salad was going to be tasteless. I expected the ahi tuna to have its own flavor since they called it «poke.» Maybe I’ve been spoiled by eating excellent poke from Hawaii and also excellent homemade poke. The other items on the menu look decent so I’ll give it one more try and will update my review then. Otherwise, the place is super cute and the people are very friendly.
