Ardmore Pizza

Just ordered a bunch of munchies and thoroughly enjoyed a whole cheese pizza just for me :) Cheese is #1 on my top 5 foods list and you can’t go wrong here, the pizza is smothered in the good stuff. I was pleasantly surprised with the broccoli bites and the zucchini fries were tasty too.

The food here is pretty good, my favorite thing to order is the Chicken Alfredo. They always include garlic bread and a salad. The staff is friendly and welcoming and it’s a great place to go to for a quick bite to eat.

This is our go-​to pizza place since moving to Ardmore (at least now– we haven’t tried all of them). Almost everything we’ve ordered (through GrubHub) has been just delicious! Our most recent order was a 3– or 4-​cheese calzone (which my husband LOVED) and a cheesesteak wrap (which I also loved– it was giant!). We’ve only done pizza, cheesesteaks, and wings. The only one I didn’t care for was the chicken cheesesteak– it was dry.
They’ve always been really friendly when I pick up the order, which is a plus!

We ordered a delivery online through eat street, Ardmore Pizza confirmed the order online, we received the confirmation email, but the food did not come. We called and they lied about receiving the order, and did nothing to help other than sounding defensive. We just drove 7 hours from our wedding, and we are very disappointed at their service. We will never order from them again.

This place is okay but not really anything special.

I recalled writing a past review, but I’m glad I didn’t read it before I decided to post an update — I’m sticking with the 3 stars and despite giving Ardmore Pizza the benefit of the doubt several times over the years, the service has yet to impress.
The food is very good for a pizza place (one of few in the local area) with reasonable prices, but their service doesn’t do them any favors — awkwardly pushy employees who aren’t paying much attention to the order… clearly, see below.
Missing side dishes or added toppings are forgivable, but now I’m starting to think they’re out to get me based on a 3-​star review. Every. single. time. I have visited, I’ve returned home giggling at how my orders are continuously messed up! I order pretty simple things, but wouldn’t you expect to have marinara sauce with your mozzarella sticks? Shame on me — I should have learned my lesson to just check before I pay, but I kept wanting them to be a 4 star joint :\

The staff is always friendly. Good quality pizza and they have fast delivery service.

Great pizza, fast delivery less than 30 mins. Cheesier than most of the other pizza options. Terrific. Good delivery

Cheese Steaks
Very friendly service, smiles and manners, nice shop and everything smelled very good.
I had a cheese steak on garlic bread, prov with fried onions. The small is big and priced right! BF had a more ambitious steak with wiz, red sauce, mush, peppers and onions. He was 100% satisfied and the sauce was very tasty.
The shop doesn’t have seating so make sure you call in for pick up or delivery.
Highly recommend!

This place is pretty run of the mill. They deliver all the time (well, whenever I want delivery including weeknights), so that’s a perk. Their food is OK at best. I could walk a half mile in any direction and find much better pizza. I can also make better pizza at my house. But when I’m feeling super lazy, Ardmore Pizza it is.

Look it takes 3 categories to get 5 Stars
1. first and foremost the food has to be not just great, but great every time. Check!
2. Price — on par with the competition and even a little higher if its really good. Check!
3. Service — be happy to see me & take my Order; if anything goes wrong or it takes longer then normal — come to me with real empathy and offer apologies and to fix what ever is a-​rye. Wow, although really rare — they are experts at caring about you and your meal. Check!
The icing on top of all of this — The Owner is there a lot of the time, the employees have been there for years and years and are happily working where you can watch them = more proof of excellent management — very little turnover, happy workers.
If an eatery has great food and great service but the price is way over the top no one goes frequently. If you have great prices and great service, but the food sucks — no one goes more then once. Finally if you have great food and great prices but the people there are rude, nasty with poor service never fixing mistakes without an argument — no one goes back.
All 3 categories must always be excellent to get 5 Stars
So the secret to Ardmore Pizza is they are exemplary in all 3 categories all the time — very rare indeed.
Wish they had a sit-​down restaurant — oops but then they would need exemplary waiter/​waitress staff and a floor manager, dishwashers and so forth — Maybe not, its fine that Ardmore Pizza is known as The 5 Star Takeout Pizza (and more) eatery of the Main Line.
Favorite order for our family
1 Large Pizza with green pepper black olive
1 Large pizza regular
1 Medium size Greek Salad — request to replace the iceberg lettuce with all Romain,
and get anchovies and Balsamic vinaigrette on the side.

The pizza is always good. The salads are huge. Service is fast. I would stay away from there Italian food like spaghetti. They over cook the noodles so much that it so mushy. Didn’t care for that at all. All in all great pizza

This place is the best!!! Food is fantastic. And the wraps, delicious. I normally purchase the buffalo chicken wrap or the cheese steak wrap. Awesome salads and pizza as well. I can not say enough about this place. If you try it once, you will be a customer for life, as I am.

All the food is great. Honey BBQ wings are a huge hit and so is the pizza. Very flavorful and the delivery is scary fast. I wish i had them in Philly where i live now.

This is the only place I will eat a cheesesteak in the neighborhood. I’ve never had a bad one from here (same with the pizza steak). Also have had mozz sticks and onion rings — both great. Hours are great & never had to wait longer than 15 minutes for my order. Can’t wait to come back :)

Jee Whizz! The steak and cheese was AWSOME. Now I must say this was my first. I do a lot of traveling and hear about how awesome an authentic Philly cheese steak sandwich is. When I asked some locals about where to get a good cheese steak they mentioned a couple of places, when one of the individuals said its all about the cheese and meat you need to go to Armadore pizza.
Once I sank my teeth into it, I must say the flavor was superb. The aroma emitting from the sack while driving back to hotel was mind blowing & mouth watering. Even in the elevator up to my room, people were commenting how good it smelled. Asking where did I get it from.
The staff was super, very helpful. As this was my first cheese steak. the guy taking the order asks what do you want on it. Like I would know after all this was my first. He asked you like onion etc. Anyway he was polite helpful and sandwich was AWSOME,
The fries were tasty. I was instructed to request the extra crispy fries. again this was new to me. i guess i will now order my fries extra crispy. There were a chit load of them in the bag.

Their eggplant parm is terrible. Eggplant wasn’t cooked right so it was chewy disgusting. Greek Caesar salad looked great except lettuce all wilted cause they didn’t refrigerate. Too many other places to go before revisiting

Working in Ardmore, it was only natural that I’d come across Ardmore Pizza at some point when considering meal options, and I’ve been consistently surprised at their excellence.
First of all, everything I’ve ordered from them has been damn good. I’m not big on pizza and their all-​around variety is extensive enough to surprise me each time I look through the menu. Having an option to order online is also extremely convenient while I’m working, even more so because I’m a picky order and having a concrete list sent to the business ensures better accuracy with the order. Their delivery guys have always been prompt and courteous.
I read on here that they have difficulty getting people’s orders right. I personally don’t think that sort of thing should be a surprise, sometimes a takeout place is going to get your order wrong. More importantly, it’s what they do to fix it. On a few occasions my very specific order was improperly interpreted, so I sent them an e-​mail. The manager promptly got back to me to apologize, offering for my next meal free. Both times following, my meal was free with absolutely no restrictions or irritations. Customer service like that is why I keep going back.

Love it there! The best Italian grinder I have ever had, but more than anything… I love the new small sized sub. It’s the perfect size for an older guy like me. The large is just so big and filling. I’m even happier that they now make a small size sub. Always fresh great food. If I’m in ardmore, I’m heading there.

I’m giving Ardmore Pizza 4 Stars not because their pizza is my favorite, but because the service we received when we went in was so exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was kind and friendly, and even though we didn’t call ahead, they put our order right in and we only waited 8 – 10 minutes for our pizza, while browsing a magazine at their one table.
Ardmore Pizza is not someplace I’d sit down and eat (there’s no tables), but I’d get their take out. If the level of service we got in the shop was any indication, their delivery guys are probably awesome, too. The pizza we got was fresh and hot, with tons of cheese and a crispy crust. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but I could dig it. I’d be curious to try other types of pizza, since I had gotten the BBQ chicken, and thought that may have influenced the sweet flavor in the tomato sauce a bit. I’ve also heard their cheesesteaks are killer. More to try!
