Hum. They changed the name to Bistro 30. There is a new reviewer of this place who seems to know a lot about the cooking process used for the ribs, seems to know the owner is always around, but doesn’t seem to know that the bar and the dining are in the same room. Seems like a long way to travel from Florida. I guess there is no place to eat and enjoy in the sunshine state.

Went there for happy hour, very good value and good deals. Bartender was very good and food was better than average. The feel of the place is just a little off, can’t really describe it but it feels somewhat more like a diner than a bar/pub/restaurant. Will give it another try.

I’m not a bar hanger… So I cannot comment on the bar, which seems to get mixed reviews here. I have to say though, the food is surprisingly delicious, I have had several lunch & dinners there and I always come back! The ribs are among the best in the area, first boiled(gets ‘em tender & takes a lot of the fat away) and then smoked for a pretty long time. And they are really good! Sides are good too. The boss seems to always be there, and the waitstaff has always been exceptional, that is my experience. Remember folks, this is a local pub. nothing more, but it is a great example of it’s kind! Stop in for a casual meal.

Yeats recently upped the ante with its cajun inspired menu. And now they’re keeping it interesting with a fall version. Definitely something to check out. And Kevin behind the bar is professional and personable, always remembering our order. He’s a terrific asset to the place.

The food was mediocre and my soda was flat — not a good start. To make matters worse, the server was way too talkative. He was constantly joining into our conversation for five, ten minutes at a time! At first I figured it was because he was bored and we were the only people in the restaurant(we went for an early dinner at ~4 pm). Now, don’t get me wrong — I greatly appreciate a friendly server and always tip them well. This was a bit much. I tried holding my boyfriend’s hand(PDA, yuck, I know) as if to say«Hey, we’re a couple, give us some privacy!» He wasn’t getting the message. It all made a little more sense at the end of the meal when the server refused my credit card — even though it was in the little black book — to take my boyfriend’s. Hey, what happened to being impartial and taking whoever gives it to you first? No big deal. I wouldn’t have thought twice about it, except that when we got the receipt back, the server had left my boyfriend a little note, including the server’s name and number. .really!?! What an annoying experience.

So far so good. Came into Yeats while my car was being repaired. The female bartender was very nice & attentive. I sat outside b/c it was a beautiful day & she made many trips back & forth to refill my drinks check on my food etc. The prime rib sandwich was pretty good and my cosmos were delicious.

Well, I’m biased as this is my local. I live around the corner. But I have been coming here for some time for the excellent beer, laid back bar, and neighbourhood atmosphere. Don’t expect someone hovering each time your drink gets three quarters empty. Do expect unobtrusive efficient service, an interesting and eclectic clientele, and a more quiet atmosphere than many of the more college bars in Ardmore. All new menu as of a month or so, and they bought a smoker which. makes the ribs pop. Stop by for a drink. You’ll either like the ambiance or not.

Had a great burger there first time I went. Second time we arrived just after they opened, the burger was dry, overcooked, only warm, the fries were barely warm, the hot tea was tepid. Guess they weren’t really open for business. Very disappointed. Won’t be going back. Music too loud for conversation.

If you choose to «dine» at the bar, you should know that the bar is well stocked and bartender is knowledgeable. Dining in the restaurant is not something I would ever do there again, nor do I recommend for anyone who is not known by the owner. One in our party had a dish served with evidence of uncooked meat, but we could never get attention of server. When the plate was cleared(untouched as it had been served), no question was asked as to why. Service was downright rude, perhaps we were not«regulars».

We had a great lunch at Yeats last week, great food, great service. Recommended. We’ll be back!

Yeats is definitely a locals joint that, sadly, seems happy being just that. I really like the male bartender that’s there most nights. He knows his stuff and all you need to ask is «what’s good tonight» and he’ll hook you up with a great beer. The food is mostly over-priced, but there are a few lower-priced gems on the menu– notably the carvery sandwich and the mussels. I really like having Yeats in the neighborhood, but I really, REALLY wish it’d step up to what it could be. Truth be told, the vast majority of restaurants in Ardmore suck, and the place is in dire need of a gastropub that can hold its own. My dream is that Yeats decides to duplicate what Theresa’s Next Door has pulled off in Wayne– amazing beer list, and out of this world food. Without a doubt, the place would become a goldmine. Sadly, the owner seems content sitting by the door playing video games all night. If only someone would give him a kick in the ass to get him into gear, I’m sure he’d be taking over the vacant space next door in no time…

i come in here every now and then — one of my coworkers goes here alot(so service for us was good) and always gets the steak sandwich. the few times i’ve been in i’ve gotten the crabcake sandwich(really good!) and a decent black and blue chicken. all and all i like it here but i’ve never seen it fully packed and the service seems iffy for the other tables which isn’t so cool but the food is good and worth checking out if in the area.

I have been here numerous times and have always enjoyed the food. There was one occasion in the 10 that I remember where I thought the food was lacking… but 1 time out of 10 I can handle. Its a little pricey for what it is. I would consider it upscale bar food without being bar food if that makes sense. I had the rock fish the last time I was there and it was incredible. Really surprising how good it actually was and the kobe burger is quite delicious. Most evenings its not very crowded which I am a fan of. There is always a table and the service is always very good. My girlfriend likes the beer selection which seems ample. I’m not the biggest beer drinker so it doesn’t do much for me. I would have given a 5 star rating if the price of a dinner with drinks wasn’t in the $ 70+ range.

I’ve stopped in on a couple occasions to catch up with some friends who were randomly visiting from out of town. During those times I was either in for a quick visit, or a fast bite to eat, and I managed to have a good time. But now I think I’ll keep it that way(if I ever show up again) because drinking there was downright awful! If a bar side patron has an empty glass in front of him and is looking toward your direction, then it should be a good indicator that he’s either ready to get another drink or settle out. It should especially be a good indicator when there’s only ten people at the bar and that patron is the only person trying to get your attention. And it should be a super huge«SERVEUSALREADY!» indicator when by the time 5+ minutes goes by another one of that patron’s friends has his drink downed and the empty glass in front of him, his other friend has his drink nearly downed, and they’re all trying to call your attention without sounding like assholes! I’m sure you know where this is going by reading that last paragraph, But let’s just say that calling our bartender for the evening un-attentive would be an understatement! when she wasn’t walking by us to talk to some regulars at the other end, she was leaving the bar completely unattended in order to help an off duty worker set up decorations which is something that could be done during a time that most bars don’t consider prime business hours. during those moments that she finally came to check on us my mind was racing with thoughts straight out of this talk thread — . It kind of sucks that their service was downright useless because the bar had it’s potential. That fact that I know friends who consider themselves to be somewhat regulars means that this place has to have their good days(a lot of my friends are wrong in their decisions but I normally trust that bunch on their choices.). The menu looked promising, and they had more bottles behind the counter than I’ve seen at any other bar I’ve ever been to(they even had mead and ginger brandy!). So if they got their act together they could be a solid suburban bar. Until then or always I’ll just be at spots like McShea’s and Erin Pub when I’m doing the suburbia lifestyle.

i’d driven past yeats plenty of times, but never went inside til this weekend. the bf & i wanted to enjoy some brews and A-10 championship hoops(go owls!) sans loudmouth, green-clad drunks. the usual spots were out as they were playing host to the delco st. patty’s pub crawl, so being the dork i am, i called a few places to inquire about their festivities(or, rather, lack thereof*) and off to yeats we were! at 6pm on a saturday, we were the only people at the bar… a few others trickled in later, but most of them were families or older couples coming in for dinner. worked well for us as we controlled the tv(bf flipped to the baylor/mizzou game on commercials) and had the bartender’s full attention. they offer a decent selection of good beers on tap(including seasonally rotating locals), as well as bottles. the friendly bartender informed us as we ordered our hop devil &60 minute IPA that their typical clientele doesn’t lean towards the hoppier beers. we weren’t surprised. nor were we terribly hungry, tho the menu looked«ok» so we decided to get a little something to nibble on. bf got lackluster wings. i lucked out with a tasty salad special of the day. in a pinch, i’d eat here again and try a veg entrée(they offered a portabella sandwich along with a few pastas) but i’m not exactly running to go back. note: yeats is most definitely an irish pub, but had thankfully participated in a st pat’s pub crawl the week before.

Menu was interesting, but the actual food mediocre. Waitstaff was fine. Soda was flat. Inflated prices due to being on the Main Line. I probably won’t go back, it isn’t worth the money when there are tastier, and cheaper, places nearby.

Yeats kind of sneaks up on you as you drive down Lancaster. And when you get inside, you’re not expecting much. You’re first impression is… «Nice place for a pint or two and then I’m out.» We ordered a burger and a crabcake sandwich. Two safe choices. Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! My crabcake was killer. The burger was admirable. We put this on our«we need a change» list. Not a must-see, but worth your time.

Wow, what a find. This is a great and friendly place to eat in a casual atmosphere… The menu is pretty diverse ranging from burgers to a full selection of pasta, fish, chicken and beef dishes. I highly recommend the filet mignon burger and get the fries… out of this world! The most impressive item on the menu is the stacked meatloaf. It comes drenched in mushroom gravy, crispy fried onions and mushrooms over a bed of mashed potatoes. Yum… and I am not a meatloaf fan but it is extremely excellent! The drink selection of martinis is exquisite… I recommend an apple martini with Stoli Vanilla vodka or the Grape Soda martini. both are tremendous. The staff is very friendly and the service is very accommodating. It is usually very busy on Friday and Saturday nights so make sure you call for reservations on those days.
