I had no clue that Vallarta the supermarket chain had stand alone restaurants. I guess they do and no surprise it’s located in Arleta. I had lunch here and got their Pollo and Asada tacos. Both were big, fresh, and well seasoned. Not as good as some of the hole in wall spots in the area, but just fine. They have a full menu of Mexican dishes, but I just wanted tacos. Maybe next time I will go for other options. I also had the Horchata, good stuff.

Chicken tacos tasted great. But the tortillas were soggy so my tacos fell apart. Try the green salsa!

Great tacos and great service! I got the 3 taco and soda combo for $ 7.99. The carne asada is flavorful and lean. No gross bites! I’m picky about texture so good meat is a big deal! The girl at the counter and the cook were both super friendly and the food is delicious!

Thai is honestly my new crack spot! I love their aguas frescas, and their Asada is really flavorful. They also have this guacamole(but not really) that’s good on everything! The woman at the register is really nice, too(FINALLY!).

I always enjoy coming here. The lady at the register is very polite and amiable! The cooks are always thanking you and very appreciative of you enjoying their food! Which I do, it’s very tasty. I come here for tacos and Menudo! Today I got myself a campechana and it looks and tastes really fresh. I will be coming back for sure! Thank you.

Been coming here for years! Always used to get hooked up plus they also use to have a little section aside from the salsa where you could get steamed onions or jalapeños among other things. The portions are generous plus filling the plates(tampicana) use to have a big piece of carne asada with some rice and beans 2 cheese enchiladas and some fries lately though the pieces of meat haven’t been as big but still good.

This is what you’d get if your local greasy spoon diner was located south of the border, It’s a small spot with really good authentic Mexican food. The prices are decent, the portions are large. The staff is actually quite friendly, even if you don’t speak Spanish, a rarity in this area. For a decent meal, stop in and try Vallarta.

Great food at great prices. There is a lot to choose from and they serve you more than enough on the plate.

Love the food here and not to expensive I’ve had the shrimp cocktails and it’s great. Chicken and rice plate also good just tip the cooks they got their own tip jar apparently the cashier tip jar is separate from the guys cooking which makes no sense since the guys do most of the job

Great tacos. They have a salsa bar which I love. I’ve tried shrimp cocktal and it was good. They have fresh juices too. They also sell tortilla chips in a brown bag. It’s a great neighborhood spot.

First of all the area is NOT ghetto, I would know since I moved up to Arleta from the south central hood I use to live at. Now as for the food it ranges from decent to good some items are even great. The taste is fatty good without the high end presentation. If you are watching what you eat this is not the place for you. I have never had the sea food as I’m not a fan and I would not get it from a place like this, plus there’s a 7 Mares sea food place up the block. Bottom line if you want home style mexican cooking with general portions this IS the place. Salud y probecho!

Its a hole in the wall but it’s really good. The tacos are tiny & cheap but I enjoy their salsa bar, they give you many options.

Great food for cheap! Think some of the spicy food keeps some of the gringos away but not white trash like myself. The place and neighborhood are ghetto, I felt right at home. This place has the same quality food as the fancy sit down restaurants without the pretentious nonsense, attitude or price, good food on the cheap.
