Great experience! We took our one year old daughter to get her haircut and Natasha did a great job! Aria was not the best customer ad Natasha was still able to get her little tuff of hair more controlled and gave me some tips(I asked) on how to make it look styled. This really is the place for Toddlers! :)

Great place for kids! The tv’s really distract the kids. I have a special needs son who is quite strong and has sensory issues. These ladies are extremely nice and patient with him while he squirms. I know it cannot be easy to give him a perfect cut– but they do!

I always liked kidsnips and this location. But today i felt like the haircut was fast. I was 15 min late for my appointment and I guess she was in a hurry to finish off. I took my 2 year girl in and the stylist didn’t even try to understand what I wanted. We are going for a vacation this week and with the summer cut(almost 3 inches hair was cut so she kinda looks like a boy now) I am very highly disappointed. I kind of blame myself now taking her here. I used to love kidsnips but I guess I am gonna stay away from haircut for my daughter for a long time now.

This was my son’s first professional haircut and he was not happy but Stacy was so understanding and quick! Having a dvd in to watch and Stacy being patient definitely helped. We received a certificate with my son’s picture and a little sample of his hair. My son’s hair looks great and I would bring him back to get his hair cut again anytime!

Jen made it a breeze for my daughter’s first haircut. We were first greeted by the receptionist instructing us to select a movie for our girl to watch. Jen helped entertain and distract our girl when she got a little fussy. She had me blow bubbles to help lol She even saved some of her hair, took her picture and put it together in a certificate for her first haircut. So adorable. Will definitely come back and recommended to others!

I took my 5 year twin boys to get their hair cut here this morning. One of the sons has autism and therefore, has difficulty sitting still, and has an even harder time with the buzzer. This is our first time at this location so I made sure to tell the scheduler ahead of time of our circumstance. She was very friendly and accommodating, and mentioned that she would give us extra time. I was very comforted to hear that. Upon arriving, Lana right away greeted the kids and me. She knew how to talk to small children and was very playful towards them, making them feel comfortable. She was very good with the son with autism and extraordinarily skillful! Despite his crying, skirming around to escape, and head shaking, she managed to cut around the ears and the bottom of his hairline with great accuracy. Even without the use of the electric trimmer, she did a very nice job with the clipper. I highly recommend her to any child!

I highly recommend Lana or Stacey at this location. I have two boys that I have brought here. They have never once received a bad haircut. My 8 month old has cried the last two times and each time the haircuts came out great!

I took my daughter here Saturday for her first haircut and Jen was her stylist and she is wonderful! My daughter was happy and laughing and«driving» in car chair. Jen was so patient with her and so sweet to her. She even put a braid I with clips. My daughter didn’t want to leave! I wound definitely recommend Jen to be anyone’s first haircut stylist. I will be returning to see Jen again when my daughter needs a trim.

Lana is the best stylist at the Arlington Heights, IL location. I’ve tried other places and was so disappointed. This is the only place I bring my 7 and 2 year old sons for haircuts.

Love this place! That said, it’s all about finding the right person to cut your kids hair. Jen is supper friendly, understanding(she has 2 little kids of her own), takes her time. She is the 1st stylist my kids don’t cry with. Well the youngest still cries a little

The new, older lady who cut my child’s hair should in no way be allowed to cut children’s hair. I was absolutely appalled that Kid Snips would allow someone who clearly has a problem with keeping her hands steady to cut the hair of a child. Not only did she hack off all of my child’s beautiful, long hair when I asked for«a short trim» but I was constantly worried she would poke my child with the sharp scissors — she cut her OWNHAND in the middle of the haircut! I was so upset when I left and will absolutely NEVEREVER go to this place again.

We love Kidsnips! Terry does a great job. She cut and braided my daughter’s hair then added real flowers and sparkles all for the price of just a hair cut.

We’ve been going to Stacy for years and she does a great job on my son’s colicky hair! Staff is friendly, too!

It was my sons first haircut, he is 3 months old. The person on the phone reassured me they could take care of him. Brought him in, person was nice at first I said just a little trim on the sides and leave the top long. Since our son cannot hold his head up, I was asked to hold him up. No problem. He started getting fussy but was good most of the time. When I got to take a look half of his head was basically shaved with shears and bald spots with uneven cuts. Now mind you, my son had about 2 inches of hair and now he has less than a half inch. The person combed his head very hard and he did have a couple soft spots since he was only 3 months old and scratched his face with a comb I do not recommend them for 3 month old cuts as a trim to get hair out of his face and out of his ears is too much for them to handle.

Have been taking my son there for the past two years. Always had a great experience. Our boy is actually looking forward to getting a cut there. We make an appointment with whoever is available: all the girls there are great with kids. Would highly recommend!

This place is hit or miss… Actually mostly miss. The store is filled with overpriced cheap toys for sale. WAYYYYY overpriced. The one cool thing is the video games and DVD selection that the kids can choose to play during their haircut. Unfortunately my 3 year old did not enjoy it a bit. He was terrified and the lady who cut his hair seemed to enjoy it even less. He wouldn’t get in the chair and she was visibly disturbed by it… Not a good sign for a children’s haircut establishment. She kept telling him there was nothing to be scared of and no reason to cry… I told her he’s scared of the sharp scissors and noisy clippers and he’s crying because he’s a scared 3-year-old! She was completely impatient and I ended up holding him on my lap for the cut. She was completely condescending to me and my son. Stupid me for thinking things would be different on our subsequent visits… Yep, I returned two more times, each time being worse than the last so much so that on our third visit we walked out before she could touch him. When she told him that he «needs to be a ‘big boy» I nearly shit a brick. We even tried the Lincoln Park location much to a similar attitude. Really a shame. They charge nearly $ 20 for cut. My kid did like the balloon they gave him but by our third visit he even pleaded that he doesn’t need a balloon if it means going to Kid Snips!!! He hates this place so much that he suggested I cut his hair at home… With the CLIPPERS… Which we now do without tears.

I have always taken my son to Pigtails and Crewcuts. I decided to try Kidsnips, as they have a toddler special on Tuesdays. It wasn’t worth the $ 5 off. Pigtails offers $ 3 off if you check in on fb at any time anyhow. The stylist didn’t even ask me how I wanted my son’s hair cut. She was literally going to start cutting without saying more than«hi» to me. Huh? I know it’s just a kid’s cut, but come on. I told her I didn’t want it too short, but did want a good amount taken off. She kind of brushed me off like she had it under control. It was fine, but my son needs another cut 3 weeks later.
