We visited Art & Framing Club to frame a gift created by a graphic designer. We asked for a simple white mat to accommodate the printed image. Although we emphasized several times that we did not want any alterations to the image, the framer cut apart portions of the image and rearranged the components before cutting the mat. I’m not sure what kind of framer decides to take artistic license with the art s/he is framing, but I’ll never return to this place.

Forget Michael’s. I foolishly went there first, with a 13×19 print. I asked for ¾″ black matte frame, with double matte for the print. All said and done, their price was $ 194.00, including the 80% off. EIGHTYPERCENT off was almost $ 200.00!!! Art & Framng Club did it for $ 55.00. I was blown away. Not only were their prices so much more reasonable, but they showed a level of knowledge and professionalism that just didn’t exist at Michael’s. Don’t bother going anywhere else. Art & Framng Club is the best.

My experience just now at this store has restored my faith in humanity. I foolishly went to Michael’s and AC Moore to find a frame and have my pre-matted artwork cut to size. The employees there were less than helpful and refused to touch the artwork due to policy. All I wanted was a skilled professional to cut my artwork with an exact o knife Pete’s sake. So freshly bought frame and artwork in hand, I entered into Art & Framing Club hoping for the best. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who said no problem and performed the job instantly. He charged a very reasonable price and went above and beyond in terms of quality. Thanks so much for turning my Saturday around!

I had a couple canvas prints that I needed framed and figured I should try this place out being that it was within walking distance for me. Plus the other reviews were good also. The framer that was there was very helpful and made suggestions that saved me a lot of money. Instead of paying for a frame and putting glass on the canvas, all he had to do to make it look nice was stretch it out and paint the sides of the canvas. The quality of the framing came out great! They are definitely on the pricey side but for the location, service, and quality of work, I would use them again.

You can find this place inside the Ballston Mall on the 4th Floor. Custom framing is expensive! But I have lots of blank walls in my house and I end up framing several items each year. This place is reasonably priced(I’ve had a few smaller items framed for less than $ 100) and the employees are helpful. I’m always impressed that their delivery time is about one week(or less) because other custom frame shops I’ve used(Michael’s and/or other smaller shops like this one) take several weeks to a month before your frames are ready to pick up. I do think that the frame selection here is relatively limited. I once went in attempting to match a frame that I would have assumed was fairly common, and they had nothing even close.

I had several paintings I had to get framed and went to upon my friends’ recommendation. The owner(Gil) was extremely helpful with his suggestions. He’s been in the business for over 15 years. They were having a great 50% sale on custom framing, so my paintings were beautifully framed just in time for the holidays. Their work really meant a lot! I definitely recommend this framing shop.
