Fillmore Pizza

I noticed this place while walking by. A Little Caesars Pizza used to be here. I am all about trying out a new local place in town. I love pizza, so I decided to order from them. On their Facebook page, I noticed they had a 20 percent discount for online orders with a promo code. They also had a take out special on a large pizza with 2 toppings. So, I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage. I also ordered a 10-​piece of their buffalo wings.
The parking in this strip is tight (always has been). I walked in and picked up the order and went home.
Pizza: The toppings were relatively good. However, the crust is not very good. It is like it is on bread, instead of a pizza crust.
Wings: Actually, pretty good. Nice flavor. Not breaded. I got 15 wings instead of 10 wings.
I would go back for the wings, but not the pizza.

I ordered pizza here for delivery to my work. Pizza was amazingly tasty. It was the roasted eggplant pizza and came loaded with all kinds of goodies like kalamata olives, but I’ve got to warn you that this pizza was not at all healthy. It was basically an oil bomb. So greasy, but so good! Delivery also took longer than what was quoted, over an hour. I wasn’t loving that, but the food was pretty good so I may be inclined to try them again.

I’ve tried them twice. Pizza is decent, but both times delivery took over an hour. Not really acceptable — I could have gone to Italian Store or Pupatella’s, ordered, and eaten a good pizza in less time than these folks took. Too bad, I wanted to like them.

Another Football Sunday rolled around so naturally my body’s internal clock was calling for wings and pizza. The boy and I have been doing the Tour de Pizza on Arlington delivery joints recently so we gave a call to Fillmore Pizza.
My initial reaction with them was not good — the lady seemed confused as hell when she answered the phone but this joint is brand new so hopefully their phone answering skills will come with time.
I ordered their large pizza + 10 wing special for about $ 20 ducks. It was delivered hot and on time, just in time for us to eat our feelings on how bad the Redskins suck.
There was no breading on the wings and they tasted more grilled than fried and were tossed in buffalo sauce. They were super meaty and had a good ratio of wings and drumsticks.
The pizza came with those little plastic tables on top which is something I had not seen in years. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had but it wasn’t the worst at all. It just tasted like a good, old fashioned delivery pizza so I can’t complain about that.

This place really makes a difference, the crust is so crisp that rivals other businesses that had been doing the same thing for longer time and the staff is always smiley and friendly. Way to go!
