I cannot publicly recommend this place. This is not a reflection on whether or not they are good doctors. However, if you arrive literally one or two minutes late for your allergy shot they will turn you away. This is happened to me now three times. Even though I called ahead of time. It seems basic human courtesy to understand that sometimes people are caught in traffic. They have strange hours and you cannot make appointments for your allergy shots. If you have an alternative — I suggest going elsewhere.

Dr. Gurka seems very thorough in his assessment but I’d agree it’s cause he’s more conservative in his methods though running tons of lab tests that come up negative (still have no idea what my husband’s allergic to).
The staff seems very pleasant, but the staff doesn’t seem to know how to process insurance claims especially when patients have two insurance. My husband went in one day and the receptionist insisted on only taking his secondary insurance because it has a greater coverage. The claim ends up being denied and their staff calls to tell me that if I don’t pay the full amount, they will send us to collections. I asked to talk to Dr. Gurka and inquire about the claim, and he straight out called my husband a liar, was very defensive and told my insurance company that I provided them with all false information. We’ve gone back and forth with the insurance company, but they can’t do anything unless if the office submits the correct claim information for the correct service date and to the correct insurance provider which they seem to have trouble doing. I’ve called the office several times and talked to Dr. Gurka. He always insisted he did everything correctly, but miraculously, the information is always off when i call the insurance company. This has gone on for the greater part of a year. Will never go back to this office and I highly recommend others to look elsewhere if you don’t want to deal with the hassle.

Dr. Gurka is very thorough and answers all my questions. He and his staff are very patient.

Their service is beyond top notch and the staff as well as Dr. Gurka is very friendly.

Dr. Gurka seems like a reasonably competent individual, but is fairly conservative in his methods. I came in looking for help figuring out my food allergies, and his response was mostly «Try and eat stuff, see how you feel afterwards,» which is hardly the informed medical opinion I was looking for. He administered a skin prick test, and then prescribed an epi pen, even though I have no history of anaphylaxis. If you’re looking for cutting edge or progressive techniques, look elsewhere.
