Jimmy John’s

I don’t know why, but I’ve been addicted to Jimmy Johns for like 3 months now. Beach club no mayo and a bag of chips is a nice lunch.

I’m sure their subs are fine, but their delivery and their delivery estimates are not.
I called ahead and they said it would be a 10 – 20 minute delivery time. An hour later I had to call and tell them to cancel my order as they had yet to arrive. An hour and a half after it should have been delivered I got a call from their delivery person saying they were at the door.
They might say they deliver, but i think i might try to see if the sub shop down the street can actually deliver on time.

If you are into stale rough bread and funny smelling tuna — then sure, check it out. I just got their tuna sub, and granted it was later in the day (around 3:30pm) but it is not an excuse to make a sandwich with bread that scratched my mouth. The actual tuna smelled funny too. I hope I won’t get sick. Not coming back.

fast service, quality sandwich, friendly staff, clean restaurant and outdoor seating. I give this a ⁵⁄₅ as there is nothing I could ask for more, except maybe a free cookie

Very fresh ingredients! Tomatoes and cucumbers were amazingly fresh and crisp. The bread is wonderful. The restaurant is incredibly clean. The service was excellent

I’m a big fan of Jimmy John’s but almost always use the Quincy Street location. Today I tried the Clarendon Blvd location and what a mistake. I had heard horror stories from several colleagues about this one but since it was the closest decided to take a chance. Ordered 5 sandwiches on line for pickup. Still being prepared when I arrived. Later told that they had to take care of all the walk ins before pick up orders??? Lots of attitude displayed and they attempted to set the worlds record for how slowly they could wrap a sandwich and how many items they could fit in a small bag. Never again will I use this location. If this had been my first and only experience with Jimmy John’s I wold have never tried them again.

You cannot get a delicious sub anywhere on earth faster. I know first hand, when I was a child I worked at Subway and I was a certified sandwich artist. Unfortunately sandwich artists there are a lost breed. Not here though! These sub artists made my delicious sub in literally seconds. And it is delicious each time! Italian night club sub all the way! I don’t even have to put money in the meter because I’m only there a minute (I will not be held responsible for any parking tickets, feed your meter) It’s too bad you can’t feed the meters Jimmy John’s because they would be so happy parking would be free for all.
The only annoying thing is actually parking but that’s out of JJ’s control. Arlington is to blame for that.

I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for a delivery order on a Saturday. I live in courthouse, and I called just to check in on the status. The lady immediately gave me my address as if anticipating my call. I confirmed… thinking that maybe the delivery was right outside.
Nope.
They cancelled my order since the Clarendon store covers my location not the Rosslyn store. And they thought they had called me. No. No call.
«ok sorry about that… go ahead and call Clarendon and place your order»
I haven’t eaten since 9am and after waiting over an hour for sandwiches… I am not in the mood to be told «whoops, try again». I relayed that I was really disappointed and was it possible for them to call Clarendon to transfer the order and make it a rush?

I am sorry too. Never ordering from this place again. I love Unilocal and I should have read the reviews about their delivery system. It doesn’t seem like they care, read Unilocal,or want to fix a problem.

Great place, good sandwiches and the hot peppers just add an extra zing.

The Rosslyn lunch situation is dismal to say the least, and that’s with a few places opening up since I’ve started working in the neighborhood. When I first started foraging for lunch goods, there were a bunch of mom and pop deli/​grill type spots and Subway. Wanted a quick sub? Then yeah, Subway.
Now there’s Jimmy John’s, and it’s been here for quite a bit it seems, but only recently did I start going there. Now it’s become my go to sub place, as the service is great, subs are made in a minute or less, and it’s reasonably priced. Seriously, they’re so quick in making your order it’s a wonder they don’t get speeding tickets.
Definitely the best quick sub option in Rosslyn.

I love Jimmy Johns. I hate this location. It’s pretty close to my office, so on days I don’t bring my lunch or have to work through my break, I’ll order delivery from here. I’ve tried it 4 times now. Each time has been a pretty crappy experience.
First time, I ordered a sandwich, a coke, and some chips. Dude shows up with the sandwich and when I ask where the other stuff is he said he forgot. I asked how I could get refunded or get the missing items, he said «I don’t know» and proceeded to leave. I called the store, they said they’d have to run ANOTHER CHARGE on my card for just the sandwich and then refund the original. Pass.
Next two orders were super late (80 – 90 min to deliver a sandwich 3 blocks) and one of the orders was totally wrong. Guy acted like I offended him when I asked for him to bring back the correct order. I didn’t really care at this point. He ended up coming back and decided to leave the bag with the correct stuff by the office elevator and text me at the number listed in my order «Your stuff is waiting outfront».
My last and final order from them today was made wrong again. I don’t really care to reach out to the restaurant again to let them know. They obviously don’t care. My only question is, what other restaurant will take it’s place when this location inevitably gets shut down.

THEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!
Staff members are all a joke and RUDE RUDE RUDE. My first time being in here and there’s workers sleep on the tables females laughing joking around in the food area. No one had gloves on except the manager which whom I spoke to.
Never mind getting my money back I tossed the food in the trash.

This place has great outdoor seating. A lot of open space for large groups.
I was disappointed that they only serve cold sandwiches, I was in the mood for a steak and cheese. The sandwiches are listed with all the toppings, u can add additional topping if u’d like, the only problem is you can’t really see the topping station so you have to ask what’s available, makes it hard for a first timer.
The hot peppers really add a kick to the sandwiches. I got the roast beef, which tasted good. An 8″ sub for 5.25, a bit more expensive than subway. Also, there is only one type of sub bread, not all the options you get at subway.
If ur in the mood for a sandwich, I would rather just go to subway, you can customize your sandwich a lot better. This place is smidge more upscale, but not worth it if you ask me.

Jimmy Johns = textbook deli sandwiches. No fuss or prissy chicken salad with curry and lavender. Meat, fresh bread, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and Dijon.

I love Jimmy Johns in general – they got me through college in Ann Arbor. They’re tasty, quick, and relatively inexpensive. Needless to say, I was very excited when this new branch opened so close to my home here in Arlington.
I’ve been in the store a few times. It’s a very clean store, and they’ve consistently been friendly, fast, and accurate with my order. I’ve also ordered delivery a number of times. The delivery people are super friendly. Also, the first time my order arrived with a free cookie. A later delivery was taking awhile to arrive, but the manager proactively called me to warn me they were backed up, and they gave me a coupon for a free sandwich for the next time I ordered. I really appreciated that, since no other delivery place has EVER called to warn me about a delay during the 5+ years I’ve lived in Arlington.
My only complaint is that all Jimmy Johns stopped using sprouts on their Beach Club. I really hope they find a new supplier, but since this is a nation-​wide problem, I won’t mark down the local store for it.

A little disappointed in this new Jimmy John’s location. I’ve been here 3 times and they have yet to get my order right. I’ve ordered online all three times online since in person you don’t really get all the options presented to you.
Everytime i’ve ordered they have got my order wrong in some way or another. I always order EZ mayo but get mayo pouring out of the sub. I order to cut out the inside of the bread, they have yet to do that. I order to cut the bread in half, never had it done. And they always either forget to add the hot peppers, avocado spread, or any other the other optional toppings.
Other then getting orders wrong the sandwiches are fresh and taste good. Everytime except once my order was ready for pickup. Funny thing was the one time it wasnt ready was the one time I ordered when the shop was dead in the evening hours.

Big Jimmy John’s fan here. As a Virginia Tech grad, I know this sub chain well.
This location is new and obviously still working out the kinks. Order a sub with no mayo, get EXTRA mayo. Pay extra for hot peppers, don’t get any hot peppers. Order a Dr. Pepper, get 90% ice and DIET Dr. Pepper (obviously delivery).
All in all the subs are great and delivery is fast, but this location could use more attention to detail.

Since the construction of Sedona and Slate apartments, I had been walking past and anxiously awaiting the opening of Jimmy John’s sandwiches. I’ve been to other Jimmy Johns locations before but it was nice to have yet another eating option in the area. While on the run, man friend and I were craving/​went to pick up Jimmy John’s sandwiches. Store is brand spanking new, clean, and the employees were very accomodating! Vito sandwich with hot peppers and the works for me and Turkey tom for him complete with chips and drinks.
