The company I work for uses the Printed Page for business cards and other printing. I use them mostly because of this and because they are close. I would not say I use them because they are exceptional.
It’s nice that they are a local company. It’s always nice to support local companies. I also like that I can get in touch with easily via phone or email, and that they are not as regimented as using a bigger printing store. It’s also very close to where I work so it’s convenient!
I have had issues with the company, I always have to very carefully check their work, multiple times I have found mistakes. I don’t always know when my job will be done, and do not always get notified that my jobs are done the same way. For example: One time I ask for cards and they are printed the same day and I get an email confirmation. The next time I don’t here anything that day and ask when to expect the cards and I am told the following day. Then I have to check in again the next day and they said they were already printed they’d just never notified me.
Over all, I’d say that if this location is convenient for you and you’re going to have a long term relationship with them then do it. If you’re going to use them for a one off job or they are not close by then I would shop around before choosing them.

Fast, professional, reasonably priced printing and binding. I needed to print two PhD theses on the way to the airport. At FedEx nearby, I was told that my PDF files were too large for their self-​print service, that I could pay a $ 25 rush fee to have them print it for me, and that the price per page was high to begin with. It took me a while to gather this information since there was only one employee on duty and he was busy looking over the shoulder of an attractive customer that was learning to do graphic design on a FedEx computer. I walked out and came across the Printed Page, where the owner immediately saw to the job himself, printing and binding the two theses double-​sided for roughly half the cost per page and no rush fee.

My nonprofit organization needed a poster for a major conference; a friend
recommended The Printed Page. What a great experience. I called up the
store and talked with Pam, the store manager. I told her what we needed
(2’x3’ poster mounted on foam core) and sent her the file. We made a
couple of tweaks, and the poster ready less than four hours later. The
Printed Page is located less than a block from the Ballston Metro, which
made pickup a breeze. I would have paid twice the price — definitely
will be a repeat customer.
There are lots of choices for printers out there — but the friendly,
professional staff and great customer service set The Printed Page apart
from the rest.

I have been using The Printed Page for over 7 years. In all that time, I have not once been disappointed — they are life savers on many fronts. For my business I need to do everything from large printing jobs of multiple pages. poster foam core signs, name badges, banners — anything and everything you need to run a business or successful event you can always count on the team at The Printed Page to be helpful, creative, cost conscious and responsive.

With the situation print shops are starting to find themselves in, a la the Digital Age, you would think customer service would be their top priority.
I dropped off a simple print job and was assured my job would be ready the following day, no problem. I get a call at 6pm (just before they close) to tell me they cannot do the binding I requested after they told me they could. Strike one.
I arrive the following day to pick up said job and upon reviewing the pages I notice with specs/​scratches over 40% of the pages. Now this isn’t so bad, a simple reprint would suffice but I needed it today. Not tomorrow when a reprint would be ready because the person who printed the job is so inept at their job they dont even check the quality of their work before it gets in the hands of the customer. Strike two.
But this isn’t the worst offense by far. When I notice the error in the print job and bring it to the individual behind the counters attention all they could say, repeatedly was «It’s not my fault, I didn’t do it». Strike three.
I mean really. I’ve been in customer service practically my whole adult life but even people who havent should know that you do not blame someone else when you are they one in direct contact with the customer.
Customer is King people. If you make us unhappy you loose our business and you loose money. I’m pretty sure you are in business to make money.

I had to print out ONE page and with my printer at my mom’s, I had to print this one page here.
I walk in — it had a VERy strong smell of paint mixed with permanent markers… definitely don’t smell this at other places like kinkos!
I asked for the email to send her this page, walked back home, emailed it and came back.
She printed it, didn’t smile at all or say anything, handed it to me and charged 26 cents. I understand that of course, you charge for everthing, but typically, when it’s a mom/​pop shop or just a customer friendly place, one page is usually just overlooked. The only reason I docked a star for that is because two days ago, my bf went to kinko’s, printed ONE page, and the super friendly lady, smiled, handed her the page and said «here ya go, have a good day and enjoy your BRUNCH!» super friendly and no charge… for that one page.
There’s just lack of personality here, no smiles, no conversation, and it stunk! If this place wasn’t right next to my apartment, i would probably never come back here, but since it is… i might be forced to :(
