This is an excellent place to get delicious eggless cakes. Bought a fruit cake which was still moist without the eggs.

Simply put: We surely miss the previous owners. The new owner is rude and truly obnoxious. We used to come from a far and never miss a time we visited this place. Every birthday or function we used to spend at least a hundred dollars a trip but after our last experience we move on to better places. Without entering the store the owner decided to come out and scream at the fact we parked in front of her store. Even with that being said and done we still decided to go in but the hospitality we received was atrocious. My family and I have noticed a change in quality in the last few months and this has just topped it off to never go there again. They always say that your best compliment is always the one who recommends you, something this person never understood. She could have simply apologized but decided to shout in the middle of the store as though she owned the strip center.

This place is amazingly delicious! The cakes are nicely presented and so moist when you take a bite. I knew they were going to be perfect for my sisters wedding. Sure enough, the cake was a hit! Everyone loved it! Even though it was a rush order, they still had it ready on time. We are so happy with their service and recommend it to all our friends and family.

Five for the eggless cakes. You’re on your own for the rest of the food. This place, hands down, has THEBEST eggless cakes in Southern California. I’m going blanket statement for all of So Cal. I’m from SD and have tried a lot of vegan/eggless cake options, but Hotbreads is fluffy and the closest to the real cake thing. I almost don’t believe they’re eggless. That’s how good they are. I’ve had cake from Hotbreads on multiple occasions, and so far, knock on wood, have never had a bad experience.

This place used to be glorious with so many varities of indian pastries and snacks on display. And this time on our visit it barely had anything on display and lot of items on the menu were erased. We left without having anything as the pastries on display looked dry and old.

Treat to people who prefer eggless pastries. They are yummy. The best place for eggless stuff. I love their black forest and mango pastries the most.

Desi style cakes and pastries. Sweet haven for people who prefer eggless cakes. I ordered pistachio, mango and black forest pastries. All the three tasted delicious.

The cake was AMAZING!!! My son has an egg allergy. He has never had a «real» birthday cake. Every party we go to he never gets to have any cake at all. Yesterday was his 5th birthday. I had heard about Hot Breads so thought I should try it. I got the White Forest cake. It was delicious. Better than almost any birthday cake I have had. Moist, fluffy… perfect!!! You don’t have to be Vegan or have an allergy to enjoy. Can’t wait to go back.

MMMMM! Yum, yum, yum. My mom and grandma are strict vegans, so for their birthdays, my dad and i sometimes have a hard time finding cakes. This place is AWESOME! We have started to order special occasion cakes from them; our favorites are the mango and chocolate cake. They also have delicious pastries… i had a croissant that was decadent, and something called the chocolate bomb… dense, moist, chewy, layers of chocolate cake, with thick, rich chocolate custard like stuff on top. Days later, I am still thinking about it… and so is my waistline. It was HUGE! At $ 3.25, it was easily shareable with 2 other people. We were all full. Rupa, the owner, was so sweet. You can’t beat service with a smile. I want to go back for the chikoo milkshakes, and the chicken tikka, and vada pav. YUM!

We turned into this plaza with the intention of getting some frozen yogurt from Yogurt Land. When I saw this place, I said forget about the froyo, let’s try this place instead! We were able to get here just before they closed for the evening. The bakery café is very small with several tables and a couple of display cases. Everything looked delicious. It was so tempting to try something from their café menu. Too bad, I did not have room in my tummy. My tummy said just give me some dessert! The staff recommended the Black Forest Cake or the Mango Cake because those are the two most popular. Of course, I chose both! The slice of Black Forest cake was delicious. The slice of Mango cake was even better. I believe everything is made without eggs. First time, I’ve ever had eggless cake. I must say that I liked them. The cakes looked great, and they tasted even better than they looked. They were not too sweet either. Will definitely come back here again for these two items. Also, when we come back, we will have to try some of the other goodies here. This place is not to be missed when you are in the area. Hmm… I wonder if they have a sign on the road. I actually did not see a sign for the place when we were driving down Pioneer Blvd. All I saw was the Yogurt Land sign. So, if you see Yogurt Land on the corner of Pioneer Blvd. and 183rd St… make sure you drive into the strip mall. You will see Hot Breads, Bakery & Café right beside the place.

Hot Breads & cakes, has the most light fluffy cakes I have ever eaten in my entire life. You would not even know they were egg less because they are so very flavor full. It definitely is not over sweet but just delectable cake, cream of the crop so to speak. Ingenious baking if you ask me. Kim Molinary

I had gotten a pineapple eggless cake for a birthday and everyone liked it. It was very moist and fresh. The prices are a little too steep tho. I miss Artesia Bakery down the street!

I have been to this place twice and I like it a lot! My boyfriend is crazy for their tutti frutti cake. I’ve tried all their puffs and I think the veg puff tastes the best! Last time I ordered a vada pav and was a little surprised to find onions in there. I’m from Mumbai, the home of vada pav, so I know what a vada pav is supposed to have. It definitely doesn’t come with onions. Onions are used in daabeli, not vada pav. They could improve their vada pav. Besides that, I really like their customer service. They are very attentive if you eat there and they’re patient. There’s room for improvement in the food that’s on their menu, but the puffs are tasty!!!

Have you ever eaten an eggless cake? Well, if you’re interested, check this place out. I needed a cake for my Mommy’s birthday and I remembered seeing this place next to the Yogurtland in Artesia. The desserts looked good from the window, so I figured, «Why the heck not?» It was my first time in there and the lady behind the counter was very helpful. I told her I needed a cake and she mentioned that all the cakes there are eggless. I’ve never had an eggless cake, and to be quite honest, I thought it was gonna taste yucky. So, she asked if I would like to try a sample. A sample? Who does that? THIS bakery does! *SHAWEEEET* So, she brought out 2 samples: Coconut and Black Forest. They were both good, but I ended up choosing the Black Forest. It was really good. I think the difference was that it had a fluffier texture. They even personalized it for my Mommy :) When cake time came around, it was a hit! Everyone loved it. I would’ve given it a 5 stars, but the cake cost me about $ 24 – 26 for a small, round 8-inch cake. However, I’d go back to get another!!!

Very nice staff! I must say, I wasn’t going to write this review because I felt like the pastry was just good, but not phenomenal and I didn’t want to hurt the business with my Unilocal review(haha, I have an inflated sense of importance if you can’t tell already). BUTTTT(a big olé butt at that!), the high school age staff member was so nice and he really encouraged me, my boyfriend and his daughter to sample their eggless cake. OMG, the Black forest cake was so moist and tasty! Yess… Yesss… YeSSS…(in the voice of Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally). Worth a taste if you come here. The curry pastries were good, but I have had better. It was a bit more saucy and oniony than I am used to. Don’t get me wrong, I love sauce, but it was odd in the pastry… However, I bet some people love it! Try the cake…

The sign on the door explains it: B Rating from the health dept. My wife and i are trained pastry and bread chefs, so we know out goods, and we are also fairly understanding and generous of shops and chain stores that dont know how to do it right. That being said. Yuck. Bad flavor, poor execution and lousy service. Maybe they should stick with indian food.

Eat ALL the indian pastries! I’ve only been here a few times and each time I’ve tried and indian pastry. I don’t remember their names but i remember the cashier warming them up for me first. So good. Come and try it. Then walk next door and get some yogurtland. XD
