Horrible, horrible service. Took over 45 minutes to get a simple thaali. The food was okay but not worth the wait.

Good Food, but inconsistent. Horrible Service. Slow, arrogant, careless attitude. These are consistent observations, not one time. We have been coming here for years. They used to be really good at everything in their older location, however, since the new location as been open, they have compromised on all aspects of their business. Only thing consistent here is inconsistencies in food and bad service.

Had the Hakka noodles lunch and paneer tikka masa, was expecting much better quality for all dishes. Hakka noodles tend to be more tangier and succulent; both of which where significantly lacking here. Noodles were basically just boiled and tossed with schezuan sauce and noodles. Could have easily made this at home at a significantly lower cost. The Indian lunch was decent. Paneer tikka masala tasted like spicy tomato soup w/paneer and veggies. Have had similar tasting food @ lower cost. Last time I ate here was a couple yrs ago and the quality of food was much better back then. Overall, lackluster tasting food for the price. Very unlikely to eat here again.

This place is truly deserving of negative stars. We tried the lunch Buffett here. The plates are small so one needs to go back five times to get even small portion. The food is awful and it’s the worse Indian food any restaurant can serve. There is no such thing called service. Don’t go to this place.

Love this modern, casual & quick place. I’ve been coming here for years… My go-to is a paneer frankie & a masala soda(housemade & savory, not sweet). I also love their big sister restaurant, Tangy Tomato(*see my review).

35 minutes and still waiting for 3 masala tea. Worst service ever as they dont even apologize for their inefficiencies. Dont come here.

Been to this place thrice and the food has always been quite good. Being a vegetarian, my options are limited. The most recent items I tried here(last Sunday afternoon) were all delicious: — sev dahi puri — paneer tikka with rotis(they make small chapatis instead of tandoori rotis, but chapatis are quite good and soft. You get 3 chapatis instead of one naan) — paneer paratha — mango lassi — fried rice Parking is a bit of a hassle because of the road construction work though.

Awesome awesome awesome food. I can say I have eaten at so many India. Fast food corners and this is the best I have come across. I couldn’t complain about anything and the food was awesome Thanks again for serving such authentic India food

3 stars not bad but not amazingly good ordered debali, garlic naan, spinach paneer, and mango lassi. Customer service was kind. Probably won’t return. Still looking for super yummy vegetarian/vegan Indian food. Let me know if you find it!!!

I love the different spices and the way that they all seem to fuse together. Its like the perfect wedding of foods and spices. A trip abroad, without ever leaving my own backyard. The employees are very helpful and friendly. Its an all vegetarian restaurant, but you will not walk away feeling hungry…

Memo for self — dabeli pretty authentic. Remember to tone down the spice level. — paneer Frankie very spicy. Decent. — dahi sev puri — Good — maava kulfi — good — paan kulfi — awesome — masala bread — a hot mess of soggy bread buried under general sev puri toppings and chutneys. Not worth the novelty –samosa chat good — sugar cane juice– good Slow service. But we were very hungry. So might be biased. Friendly staff.

Looking for authentic feel and taste of India? Venture out of Little Saigon and visit Little India. The names and variety of food offerings on this Pioneer Road restaurants is overwhelming for the unfamiliar with India cuisine. It’s not as easy as your local buffet style neighborhood«Indian» or fancied up «Khyber«Westernized expensive Vindaloos, the menu is huge. India itself is a huge country with a diverse regional taste for food. This place can be a good starting point for the novice. Look at the Unilocal pictures and match the name then order. Or just just blindly order from the big list and let surprise be part of your meal pleasure. We tried one of the dessert from their large selection. We didn’t know any of it and picked one solely for the funny name: Pista Barfi! And sugar free ! It taste like pistachio in condensed milk. Sweet so don’t know how it’s sugar free but oh well… At least it didn’t taste like bodily fluid.

Stopped here for a late lunch, unfortunately most other restaurants on my list were closed around 3pm so I had to go here. It was very crowded and we were told that food will be ready in 15 min when we ordered which didn’t seem too bad. But it took close to 40min for the food to be served. We had to eat in a dirty table since there was no other empty tables left. Food was good but the service and wait time was horrible.

Horrible food, bad hygiene and to top it off a smart-!&@ guy behind the counter(we saw him be rude to some other customer :() Now the food; I never expect exceptional chat in the US(3 yrs and still searching) but the quality here is god awful levels. We orders three chat dishes. Two of them were beyond contempt(sev puri, papdi chat) One was barely edible(tiki chat) . Now the place itself. Not well maintained, stuffy not well aired. Feel very stuffed(the place is big, but not very comfortable). There was places where water was as it is, un-mOpped ., the water dispenser was not something that would make you want quench your thirst. Anyway, skip this save the money go get some Cajun fries in five guys or something like that… With a milk shake.

Highly recommend. Couldn’t pronounce or recognize anything on the menu so the pleasant staff helped us with our order. Thali was delicious and the two of us ate every bite. Owner greeted us at our table and chatted for a while. We ordered a bunch of sweet treats to go… love it when you try a new place and it’s a hit!

I give them a 5 for the presentation of the store. The layout and big screen TV’s showing the menus are nice. The service I give a 2. The guy at the register was kind of jerky. «May we have ice?”(him) «everything is cold so you don’t need it.» Ooookay. «May we have plates?”(him)“they’re over there.» Hmmm. The food is ok. My friend and I liked their naan and the tandoori wrap, but the other foods we ordered were not very good. Everything had this sweet and spicy thing going on. Meh. We will not be back considering the lack of service and kind of gross food. Go to Chennai!

They’ve changed their menu a bit with the new upgrades. Prices have also gone up but the food is still undeniably delicious! They make by far the best masala sauce known to man. We had two younger children with us during this last visit who are extremely finicky eaters, and by that I mean all they eat is plain white rice at restaurants. When that garlic naan and masala came out they couldn’t stop commenting on how delicious the food smelled and they both dove right in. It was a pretty shocking moment for fussy kids to be diving into indian food for the first time! They also loved the Jalebi which is seriously amazing here. Fresh, somewhat crunchy, sweet fried dough, a must! Their foods have great flavors. Only issue is that *WEIRDO* younger Indian cashier dude who wears an ear piece and mumbles around repeatedly while rolling his eyes. Can’t tell if he’s having a phone conversation with that damn old school ear piece or talking to his customers. WTF are you saying?! I asked him to repeat himself several times because words were not coming out his mouth! I could see it moving but all I would hear was mutter. I understand having some sort of weird social issues but you belong in the kitchen or elsewhere if you can’t deal with speaking up to customers. Also, I had asked for three pieces of Jalebi, mind you I was pretty much yelling at him from frustration of not understanding him and repeating myself 3x to make sure he HEARDME and UNDERSTOOD and the fool still gave me two freakin pieces instead. Ay, moron.

Short review! I’m a huge fan of papdi chaat, in fact I got nuts for the stuff. Nothing is as good as the chaat in India, but Rasraj comes pretty close. It’s definitely one of my favorite Indian restaurants in all of pioneer. It’s around $ 5 for a big plate of food, pretty much no matter what type of chaat you get! So worth it. :) They don’t have as many sweets as I would like but they do have kulfi! Yum yum yum.

Love the new location(across Postma Furniture and a couple doors down from Standard Sweets)! New location is much larger and even has an outdoor patio. Even the bathrooms got upgraded and aren’t as smelly or gross as some other places nearby. As for their food, I’m loyal to them! Good food, good prices. Keeps bringing me back, it’s that simple. My only gripe? With 6 TVs, please have at least one of them play Bollywood music videos or movies! That’s part of the reason of why I eat at Indian restaurants — I don’t get this anywhere else!

It honestly seems like all the hyper-positive reviews for this place are fake, or, the service is better for non-indian/non-local folks because they feel more of a need to impress. The food was strictly ok. Tried a few different dishes and I was just disappointed at how low the quality was for price. I could probably go to several other places on the same street for the same dishes at a more reasonable price and also actually delicious. We just wanted to try this new location out, but we probably won’t be returning soon. One of the members of my party got cold sambhar. Not all, just one. Why the difference?! This makes me nervous about how they serve their food. And the portions for the Gujurati thali are so paltry it’s embarassing. It’s supposed to be a thali, not a free sample. And the«paneer sizzler» was topped with heaps of cheddar cheese. I understand that paneer sizzler didn’t exactly come from ancient India but the cheese topping they chose was just too much. Otherwise the dish, which was paneer, bell peppers and sauce over some bow tie pasta, wasn’t too bad. The two stars are because their innovative dishes are interesting. The Manchurian dosa, good. Paneer tikka, with garlic naan, good. Also, the servers are very polite and helpful. Their dry snack and sweet selection is vast. Overall, I think that with more organization and better customer service they can really do well.
