I found out about the shop when the lady who was supposed to make my mom’s birthday cake backed out the last minute. My mom was starting to go blind and I wanted make sure everything was beautiful. I somtimes past this shop on the way home and they were nice and friendly. They helped me set up cake for her. The owner was so nice. She called me and took care of my order.
When I tell you that is this cake was WORTH EVERY PENNY (no joke)!!! The vanilla speckled cake was heavenly. Each layer of cake was moist and dense enough to hold the custard with fresh berries. It was very enjoyable with a glass of tea. Even my over picky friends were raving about it. I wanna get married just so I can get one of these cakes again. My mom truly enjoyed herself. Thank you so much!

Okay, look, I’m not a sugar lover. I’m not even into desserts, I would happily have an appetizer instead of a dessert type of person when eating out, yanno? So on this day my daughter wanted a cupcake and we were in Asbury so I suggested it after doing a quick Unilocal search of «cupcakes» in the area.

I’m already in awe. They have doggy cupcakes — cupcakes for your dog, they have oatmeal cookies — I’m already sold — and I’m not even a sweet person but oatmeal cookies!!! Ya gotta love a place that STILL makes oatmeal cookies #thankyoubabyjesus
We walked out with two cupcakes, two cookies, a torte, two doggy cupcakes and meringues. Don’t judge me…
I had eaten the oatmeal cookie before we got back to the car. My dogs nearly ate my hand off eating the cupcakes — and they are friggin picky bougie ass dogs that won’t even eat dog treats.

We chose this bakery for our small wedding in Asbury Park on 9÷12÷15.

Absolutely PHENOMENAL. All guests were raving about it. Very, very pleased — especially with the price! This was a very affordable way for us to go, and the cupcakes were very fun for our guests — choosing /​sampling different flavors of mini cupcakes is way more fun and interesting at a wedding than some boring slab of wedding cake (in my opinion). Communication was awesome with Confections of a Rock$tar owner and staff as well — thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!!!

This is my new favorite place to purchase baked goods! So far we have tried some cupcakes, macaroons, and a scone and everything has been fantastic! The cupcake flavors are very innovative and delicious! And the people who work there are super friendly. I would recommend that anyone in the area stop by for a treat.
