We have been to Indian restaurants in DC and VA. Delhi 6 beats them all. The menu has lots of choices and the food is great. The servers are very attentive and accommodating. Delhi 6 just does not give you a place to eat. It gives you a dining experience. Very nicely decorated restaurant and everyone there is so friendly and nice. But best of all is just how good the food is.

NOT A BABYFRIENDLYPLACEAPPARENTLY. We needed a high chair and was told they don’t have one so we have to leave. Not much of a customer centric place there that we felt kicked out because they couldn’t arrange for a high chair. Never again!

Very bad service. Found a small bug in my food which I knew was cooked in the food it was obvious, but they tried to claim it landed in my food after they served it. How can it die after just landing in my food wouldn’t it just fly away? Idiots. Avoid this place for your health and sanity!

Went there today and this place definitely earned a spot in my top 3 Indian restaurants in the NOVA area. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly, they even gave us free desert! I haven’t got to try all the Indian restaurants in Ashburn yet, but I know that if I’m hungry I can’t go wrong picking this place.

Delicious and I appreciate that there is a whole section of vegetarian options on the buffet. Service was great too. Came at lunch. I think the buffet is daily

The place is nice inside, love the décor and the Indian pop music video that they played. We came for dinner and ordered the chicken curry and garlic naan. Chicken curry was not as spicy and was kinda thick. I noticed the chicken was a variety of dark and white meat. The bowl that they brought the curry out in had pockets of hot spots here and there. I would find one section to be super hot and others to be cold. I wonder how they heat the curry up. I didn’t like their rice that came with it. Dried and long grain rice are not my fav. My hubby and I ordered the same dish and they brought out only one bowl of rice. The garlic naan was the best, I used the bread to dip in my curry. This place makes the naan thin and crispy.

Not sure how folks are giving anything more than 2 stars to this place. I would have given it a 1 had not been for the courteous server. All food items were weak, I mean Dahi Bala, a staple dish of Delhi should be decent; it was the worst and we returned it.

I’ve been on a search for great Punjabi food since moving to Ashburn, and Delhi 6 has quickly become one of my two favorites in the area. The Butter Chicken, Chole Bhatura and Saag Paneer are great!

I just returned from England, where the curry is supposed to be amazing… sadly, I was disappointed multiple times on my trip with dry chicken, unseasoned veggies, and poor service. Just finished lunch at Delhi 6, however, and my taste buds are thanking me! The tandoori chicken was perfect! Juicy, full of flavor, and just the right spice with that delicious char that you can only get in a proper tandoor. The okra, mushroom/spinach, and cabbage/cauliflower veg entrees were equally amazing! Thank you once again for the delicious food, great service, and for making your number one customer happy!

Worst business with no ethics. Booked tickets for($ 180) for new year’s eve from online provider . However, the business has over sold the tickets. there was no space even to stand. Business owner refused refund the tickets at first and then upon insisting he said the will refund the ticket after speaking . Even though he has all our contact details, he has not refunded the amount as yet(20 days) and not even tried contact us. I advice no one to do any business with these guys and I owned never to step into this restaurant again.

Tried their Sunday buffet, the variety for vegetarians was good but the food was disappointing. All the curries were sour because they had way too much tomato in them, also they tasted the same. The desserts were overly sweet, dal makhni and samosa chaat were good. They also had a separate bar for vegetarian food which I liked. Overall, disappointed! had higher expectations because of the reviews.

This was my second time going there and being Saturday evening around 7:30 pm I thought the place will. have some customers. Well the place was slow and they had two other tables served then us. As usual I order a bottle of. wine which arrived. As usual most of small India eateries don’t know how to maintain wine bottle Tempreture thus bottle wine tasted old and little wacky. Trust me I did not complan. Then ordered tandoori platter saag ghost two keema Naan and salad. The platter arrived and it. was horrible as they put fried fish on top and made it look horrible. The lamb shrimp tasted okay. Saag and keema Naan I have to give 10 out of 10. Serve was good also but little rude. Well I give them 5 out 10.

I’ve been to Delhi 6 on many occasions and my visit is always a 10. Brij and Singh always make me feel welcome. They are very hospitable. The food is fabulous and the establishment is clean and beautifully decorated. I especially get a kick out of the music videos and their beer selection is pretty good too, try the Godfather. The music is pumping while you enjoy great food like one of my faves, butter chicken! Check them out! They are great!

The food was okay. I was expecting it to be very delicious after reading the reviews. We tried the aloo papri, Kadai chicken, the peshawari naan and the falooda. The chicken was spicy but it didn’t have that delicious flavor though. Something was missing, perhaps salt and lemon. My favorite was the naan which was ready good. The small bowl of falooda was $ 6 which I thought was way overpriced. The service was outstanding along with their interior. The place looks very traditional and it’s nice to watch the songs play on their TVs.

We’ve eaten here several times since my first review and I thought I should update the review and rating after a few more visits. Quality at this place is consistent, the food is always very flavorful and delicious, very well prepared. We even had a lunch hosted here by a man that my husband mentored(he’s Indian) and his whole family came. They insisted on treating us and they said all the food was wonderful. The restaurant staff went out of their way to make the service great for our table of 10. I was also excited to come back here after eating at Rasika in DC earlier this summer and discovering palak chaat. I probably never would have tried this fried spinach appetizer if it hadn’t been included on Rasika’s tasting menu. It was phenomenal, I truly wanted to lick the bowl it came in, so I ordered it here, guess what? Phenomenal, but about 7 times the size of the portion at Rasika! Win and win. Honestly, the entrees(butter chicken and lamb) are actually a little better here at Delhi6 and certainly they offer larger portions. Give this place a shot if you are in the area.

EH… We got takeout from this restaurant and it is just okay. We ordered an order of vegetable samosa– they were okay but the sauces(mint chutney and tamarind) that come with it tasted old and vinegary. The chicken tikka masala was one of my least favorites in the area. The sauce was very thin and runny compared to some of my other favorite Indian restaurants and some of the chicken was dark meat verses it all being white meat chunks. The garlic naan was delicious, light and fluffy. So an overall three stars. Probably wouldn’t go back on my own, but if one of my family members or friends wanted to eat there I would give it another shot.

I am only reviewing the buffet. I went early what after they opened, and the food should all have been freshly prepared. There was an acceptable assortment of food, but nothing to really jump out compared to other buffets. I found some disappointments to be silly, like no tomatoes for the salad? I was hoping for a lamb dish, but they had goat. Nothing wrong with goat, that can be good too, but in this case it was dry and mediocre in flavor, and worse – even though there were only two other tables in the restaurant the goat was picked clean and mostly bones and broth, and they never replaced it the entire time I was there. I tried pretty much everything, including an assortment chicken and vegetarian offerings. Everything was acceptable, but nothing outstanding or unique, and the recurring theme was dryness and a feeling that the food been out for hours, even though they just opened. The desert was an unmarked yellow gelatin dish of some sort. sort of like mango jello, although blended to a nice consistency. Still not a great dessert experience. I will say that it was a nice enough place, the staff was very attentive and probably filled my water 10 times, and the basket of fresh buttered naan was simply amazing(so was the chutney to go with it, so that part at least was very enjoyable). WIth so many good Indian buffets in the area, I don’t think I’ll go back.

This review is for their catering service. My husband and I decided to host our daughter’s first birthday party here. Brij was outstanding and so accommodating and went out of his way to make sure everything and everyone was taken care of. It was a fantastic evening. For appetizers we got Chicken Tikka, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Papdi Chaat, Masala Noodles and Pakoras. I basically made a meal out of the appetizers. Everything came out fresh and delicious. For entrees we had Butter Chicken, Lamb Roganjosh, Veg Jalfrezi, Dal Makhani, and Chicken Biryani. I didn’t even try any of them because I enjoyed the appetizers so much that I was too full to continue! But everyone had wonderful things to say about all the food! The bar was serviced all night and everyone had a great time! Will be more than happy to host our next event here!

I will give credit where credit is due. Delhi 6 redeemed itself in my books. After much research I decided to host my daughter’s first b’day party at Delhi 6. Over 80 guests, spectacular food, super-attentive service … made for an amazing evening !! Food: For apps we got Chicken Tikka, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Papdi Chaat, Masala Noodles and Pakoras. Everything was great, the meat was flavored to perfection and cooked just right. The guests raved about the noodles. For entrees we had Butter Chicken, Lamb Roganjosh, Veg Jalfrezi, Dal Makhani, and Chicken Biryani. Everything was spot on. The service was the highlight of the evening, Brij and his team were on point making sure the food was hot and adequate. The tables were constantly cleaned and the bar was serviced all night. Thanks once again to the Delhi 6 team and especially to Brij. Needless to say we will be back !!
