Manhattan Pizza

I ordered delivery and not only did it take nearly 2 hours to arrive, but they forgot parts of my order. When I called them back to ask for the missing food, they said they would be right over, but an hour later they closed and they never came. While the food is good, the service is extremely poor.

The owner sent a gift card out asking for a second chance, so I obliged. Food came in about 35 minutes, about average. Everything was fine other than the fries which were soggy and cold. No delivery experience is going to be perfect though, and I appreciate the effort they’re putting forward to improve and take care of their customers.

Not enough sauce. Sometimes we can’t even find the sauce lol (did they forget sauce?). And if we ask for extra sauce the whole pizza falls apart, so that’s not an option lol.
Edited: we got a super kind response from the owner who gave us a great suggestion to our sauce-​loving taste buds lol. I updated my star review because that’s great customer service right there!

It was one of the best pizza I have ever eaten. Delicious toppings, sauce is homemade, great friendly service. I will definitely take my wife and daughter to Manhattan Pizza next time.

Went to eat there last Saturday night at about 9pm and strangely we were the only people there. Then they started cleaning up around us, including mopping the floors with a very strong (ammonia) smelling solution — it was very unappetizing! From now on we will stick to take-​out.

Really enjoy the pizza here. However I placed a order here last weekend. We ordered two 12″ (medium) pizzas. They charged us the price for the two 12″ pizzas but brought us the smallest size in both pizzas. I called them up immediately to see if I could get the order (medium pizzas) I asked for. They accused me of saying I wanted the smallest pizza size when I said medium and even the person that took my order repeated it to me! It was very disappointing for a place with pretty good pizza.

It’s a No for me.
Those who know pizza understand that the defining feature is the crust. This crust is not homemade, not tasty, not good at all. It’s just bland and loaded with dough conditioners so it keeps for a long time and bakes unnaturally evenly.
Those who know gyros understand that the meat must be sliced super thin, to allow for an even char across a large surface area.
All these guys know how to do is mark up cheap ingredients. Don’t give me that Grande cheese bullshit; the magic is still missing.
The tomato sauce has good flavor; though the fresh tomatoes are wrongfully refrigerated.
My delivery did not arrive hot; it arrived warm. Seems I’m not the only reviewer with this experience.
I shall come crawling back to my beloved Paisanos on my knees! What a mediocre pizza.

I moved from Ashburn two years ago and only recently moved back. As it was biting cold today, I decided to pop in and grab a hot lunch to go.
A lot can happen in two years! I walked in and walked right back out, confused. In realizing I was where I wanted to be, I walked back in.
They now also have a FROYO place and the pizzeria is redone in a modern, bistro theme with beautiful brick walls and wooden tables: ambience was cozy.
The servers were kind and patient as for some reason, I was totally flustered by new arrangement and not seeing the customary faces I was used to. After a few minutes of indecision, I ended up getting the chicken parm sub with French fries to go. You can get the chicken grilled or breaded (I went with the latter).
The portion was good sized. The sauce however was way too sweet for my taste; it took away from the savoriness of the sandwich. The fries are the double-​fried kind, which many people like, but be never been a fan.
In the past, I always got pizza and salad here and both were very good (as you can see from an earlier post, I used to have to be GF and wasn’t a fan of the GF crust, but their regular dough was always properly baked with a good chew).
I’ll come back for pizza to see if that has changed or is still as I remember and will update. I’ll just avoid the tomato-​sauce based sandwiches in the future.

Pretty simple — we live a mile away and it takes an hour to get our food. Food arrives cold and is less than stellar in portion and quality. Might try them again and see if this was just an off-​day. Stay tuned for an update.

The owner reached out to me and gave me a $ 25 gift card to come back and give them another chance. I always very much appreciate the effort — so I gave an extra star.
Unfortunately, I still didn’t enjoy my experience. Got a cheese pizza which was very oily, you could almost see the oil dripping from it. I got another slice of pizza with three toppings which instead of being baked into the pizza, were thrown on top as an afterthought after the pizza was already baked. My experience with the Caesar Salad was the same as before — the dressing is very sour and I hardly think it’s worth paying $ 8 for a bunch of lettuce and it’s extra charge for extra dressing.
On the upside — the garlic knots were great. But sorry Manhattan Pizza, I don’t think I would be returning.

I ordered delivery last night. My order arrived very timely and the delivery man was very nice and professional.
As for the pizza… it was warm at best. Once we reheated it, it was very tasty, although it didn’t appear to be well done, as I ordered. We also ordered the pepperoni rolls and garlic knots. Those were very tasty as well… after we reheated them.
It seems this pizza would be very good right out of the oven and hot. I will order from them in the future, but will have the oven preheated.

We visited Manhattan Pizza several times. Good Pizza, we always enjoy them. Not a big fan of Garlic Breads and didnot try anything else.
I am from NY and I can tell you this not Manhattan style Pizza. They have different taste, thinner crust, more crispy slices.
Overall still pretty good but definitely not NY style Pizza.

We have ordered here a bunch over the last 8 years and have been satisfied. This last week they managed to destroy our history with two botched deliveries. I am willing to be understanding of mistakes. However, repeated mistakes are frustrating, and a poor reaction to mistakes will make me take my business elsewhere.
We ordered a pizza on Saturday and substituted black olives with kalamata olives. This pizza arrived with NO olives. In response they offered us a 20% discount, which we later found out was a «coupon» that could not be combined with other offers.
On Wednesday, attempting to fill our kalamata olive pizza craving, we ordered a custom pizza using our «coupon». This pizza arrived with black olives.
My wife made the phone call to complain, but I heard enough to be upset. They started by offering another 20% «coupon» and had plenty of excuses. It was explained to us, by the manager, that they were out of kalamata olives and «what do you expect us to do…». She explained the obvious expectation that we should be notified that they do not have the thing we ordered. In further detail, the MANAGER explained that only the kitchen was aware that they were out of kalamata olives and the people that were interacting with the customer did not.
The only saving grace is that after a long conversation they agreed to refund the pizza. We may be back, but only after checking out the many competitors.

Sunday evening pick up order took forever. After the long wait we were disappointed to found the pizza wasn’t hot. After reheating it was great but …
UPDATE
I was immediately contacted by the owner of Manhattan who graciously made amends. We’ll be back to Manhattan!

My bf and I have literally ordered pizza here once a week or once every two weeks. (If I go on vacation, he might order 3 times in one week.) Seriously awesome pizza! We have been ordering from this location for 2 years now and always get Pep pizza and sometimes get gyro meat or fries. All are amazing! They always deliver super fast and hot! We have never had a problem! They even deliver on those horrible days that it is too bad to go driving — ie, snow, heavy rain, or you just cant get out of bed because Netflix is calling! We were even staying at the hotel down the street due to apt construction issues and they delivered directly to our hotel room! Seriously, no leaving the room even! They are great and the crust and everything is FAB! You will enjoy this pizza!!!

Very disappointed by the rude service I received. I bought a pizza for me and my friends, and the waitress makes a nasty remark after I said keep the 90 cents *while I was pulling out the rest of the tip*.
Her remark «Oh wow, 90 cents. Thats it? Thanks a lot». I have always given fairly large tips. But after that remark, I didn’t feel like I should of given more.
Not only did she loose her tip, but I will not go back when I know I can receive better service from other places.

Awesome NY style pizza.
Having tried all of them around us over the past 10 years, for carry out or delivery, this is our «go to» pizza place.

I took kids here that I regularly babysit for, because their mother had three certificates given to them from a race that they’d run, each for a free small pizza.
I have worked in the food industry & understand that there are people who really milk that stuff & that’s annoying. But there was no limitations on the certificates — the family had earned them from the race, & frankly, Manhattan should not have offered them with no limitations (I.e. «Free with purchase of drink», or «one coupon per party», etc) if they didn’t expect them to be used.
Frankly, I was grateful for the certificates because I can’t always afford to take those kids out to lunch, & it allowed me to do that.
The problem is, I went in to place our order, informed them that I had the certificates, and I got dirty looks & blatant hesitation. I kindly pointed out that there were no stipulations on the certificates, & they honored them, but for that very reason, I won’t ever go back in there.
I’m not a stickler — I’m a foodie — I love to support local business, I love to try new things. This was my first time in a Manhattan pizzeria, & I will be glad to not give them my actual money in the future based on this experience.

I usually order from either Manginos or Andolinis. I wanted wings and both places wings are a bit lacking in something. I decided to shoot for Manhattens. Great decision as their wings are awesome. Very good size and not over drenched in sauce.
As for the pizza, they have some good specialty pizzas. Their Brooklyn bomber and the Wise Guys are some of my favorites and they have a good steak and cheese pizza too.
I’ll need to try their other items such as the calzones and pastas. Overall a solid pizza joint that is now on my rotation of delivery options. With this place, Manginos and Andolinis, Ashburn has pizza delivery on lock down!
