I went on a cold afternoon around 3pm or so for some delicious ramen, and that’s exactly what I got! I got the Chashu Pork Shoyu Ramen and it was delicious! The only things I would change is to have more noodles and Chashu pork, but that can be added for a little extra. Service was great(yet again), but considering there was only one other person in there at the time, I would hope it wouldn’t be bad, lol. This time I actually got a dessert as well! I got the Mochi Ice Cream in vanilla and it was very good, and quite adorable! You get 2 little mochi ice cream balls cut in half and drizzled with chocolate sauce, and a red(I think strawberry) sauce. It was a bit pricey since you can get the mochi ice cream at the international grocery store, but it’s to be expected for an Ashburn restaurant. All in all, I plan to go back soon for more ramen, or maybe to even try the Shrimp Tempura Udon!

I’ve tried their sushi & absolutely loved it so I decided to go & try their ramen. The ambience is very nice & well decorated. My only problem with this place is that the service is not very good. I came in around 1pm & it wasn’t very packed. There were about 5 workers & only two or three tables being waited on but service was slow & wasn’t very attentive. I ordered the pork belly soft buns which were to die for. The bun was so soft & the filling of the crispy yet fatty pork belly balanced it out very well. It was also topped with a bed of arugula and hoisin sauce. The appetizer comes with two buns which is a good serving but I could eat endless amounts of them! My cousin also ordered a sea urchin(Uni) roll. She said was it average. For our main dishes I ordered the chasu pork miso ramen while she ordered the spicy version of mine. The ramen took a while to come out but it was well worth the wait. Our ramen bowls came with the typical toppings & fillings such as corn, beansprouts, a soft boiled egg, & bamboo shoots. There was not only minced pork but also slices of pork belly in it as well. The broth was very flavorful & had a really smooth taste. The ramen noodles were chewy but had a nice texture. Needless to say we ate everything. Probably one of the better places to get ramen in the area. This will be my go to place whenever I need a fixing of ramen that’s convenient to drive to.

I ordered the Seafood Udon and my wife ordered the California Roll. The Udon soup was bland, but the Roll was fresh. The service was great, except for the waitress touching her nose. The image was unpleasant.

This place looks good from the outside but from within, it looks like a new restaurant waiting to get its $hit together. On a busy Saturday, we were lucky to have a table of 3 ready without a wait. The staff was friendly however the food took forever to come out to our table. The drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and appetizers were brought out one at a time. When the mains arrived, the came 20 minutes apart. I was waiting for our sushi to arrive after my ramen came twenty minutes prior. Prices are relatively high for a sushi place with 14 bucks for bowl of ramen. Overall the restaurant is good for the area with new and trendy places in the Loudon area but it won’t last with this type of lag in food delivery.

My wife and I decided to come here instead of the other One Loudoun restuarants cause we’ve never been here. It’s tucked away behind Nando’s Peri Peri on the right side. Upon walking into the restaurant, the round and open sushi/sashmi bar is front of you as well as a presention on ice of the fresh oysters and other shellfish(clams, scallops)… The décor was very modern yet traditional Japanese and some light/smooth jazz music was playing throughout the restaurant. We ordered the fried pork gyozas, maguri(tuna sushi), pork shoyu ramen and the shrimp tempura udon. The gyozas were crispy and delicious. They came out very hot. The maguri was so fresh and presented gorgeously on a long platter. My wife’s pork ramen was smokey from the minced pork and few slices pork belly. The shoyu broth was light and flavorful. The ramen noodles were very chewy and tasted freshly made. I will get that next time. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Udon with tempura on side. Tempura was a bit oily and greasy but yet tasty. The udon noodles were so good with that chewy bouncy texture and the both was light and flavorful. The service was also very good and attentive. We will definitely be back to try other dishes as well. This Japanese restuarant is a gem in the Sterling/Ashburn area. Arigatō!

One of the many restaurants in One Loudoun, Okada is a good choice if you are craving Japanese food. They have a lot of dining options including sushi, ramen, and hibachi. Although it is not the traditional hibachi where the chef cooks in front of you. They cook it in the kitchen and bring your entrée out. They also have an extensive list of cocktails, sake and wine. The first thing I noticed about the restaurant was the décor. Modern and sleek but with subtle Asian touches. They have a huge sushi bar in the middle of the restaurant. I didn’t sit at the bar, but I’m sure it would be fun to watch the sushi chefs in action. The staff was friendly and attentive. My water was always refilled. We ordered a shoyu ramen to start with. It was a little salty, but that seems typical for all ramen restaurants around the DMV. The noodles were long and chewy, just the way I like them. The sashimi was ok. I felt they were a little fishy for me but the rolls were really good, especially the green mountain and tropical roll. I got the hibachi filet mignon and scallops. The scallops were sooooo good! I really liked the flavor and they were fresh and sweet. The filet mignon was also very tender. I would recommend ordering the banana tempura and green tea ice cream for dessert. Anything fried here is done very well here, not too oily. Overall I think this place is pretty good. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.

Okada is a cute addition to the vastly growing One Loudoun. I just wish the food and service was just as great as how the place looks. Stopped here yesterday(a Sunday) after noticing the sign outside promoting their happy hour. Sunday-Thursday from 3:30 — 6:30PM. $ 3 Drafts/Domestic Bottles, $ 4 Import bottles, $ 5 Martinis & House Specialty Drinks, 50% off appetizers Great deals, but the appetizers and cocktails were average at best. So, if you’re going to take advantage of their happy hour… then go for the beer. None of the appetizers really grabbed my attention, so I decided to just order their ramen, which they added to their menu recently. I also ordered a HH cocktail(Japanese hurricane). The cocktail was unimpressive — tasted like sake mixed with honey, which wasn’t anything great. Straight sake is pretty much the only way to go, but many of their house specialty cocktails use sake as their base liquor. My sister got the greenteani and noted how sweet it was. She couldn’t even finish it. I was a bit hesitant to order the ramen, but thought what the heck. let me give it a try. Ordered the Spicy Miso, which came with chasu, corn, bamboo shoots, ground pork, bean sprouts, and pickled ginger as standard toppings. I could tell by looking at the bowl that it would be a bit oily. And that it was… but it actually tasted good! To my surprise, the broth had a nice spicy, savory flavor to it. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The chasu was thinly sliced, which I wasn’t a fan of, and it also lacked any flavor. My siblings and friends who I was dining with ordered the pork gyoza, raw oysters, seared beef tataki, and the peppered steak. The pork gyoza was good — crispy exterior from being pan fried. Raw oysters: PASS — just no. don’t do it. Beef tataki — this was okayyy. The beef is rare, but not tender and not too much flavor to it even with the ponzu dipping sauce. Peppered steak — bland. My main issue with this place was the service. While the manager(or at least he seemed like the manager?) was nice at the end of the meal, the overall service was just nonexistent. After being seated, it took a while to be greeted by a server. The servers weren’t rude necessarily, but they were pretty basic and silent. Every time we ordered, it seemed like a hassle or an annoyance to them. Overall, I won’t be running back to return, but the ramen was good enough for me to stop by if I’m in the area.
