Great place to find a «nice bottle of wine» to go with a meal. I have enjoyed myself at some the weekly wine tastings.

Amazing wine selection but the staff is extremely rude and pretentious. I was treated very poorly and was quite offended by the staffs demeanor and attitude. Unfortunately, I will not go back because I do not deserved to be talked to like scrum especially when I am a paying customer.

This place is the Dickens to find/get to – it’s in the funky neck of the Y-intersection where State Hwy 99 turns into 2 very wide 1-way streets through downtown Ashland. The parking lot can be entered either from the northbound side of traffic on LIthia Way, or from a tiny driveway that enters from a tiny street on the(south?) end of the tiny shopping plaza. It’s a bit of an ordeal — trust me. The first time I found them, it took 2 circles around the block to find a way in that wouldn’t get me rear-ended in all the theater traffic! It’s not a huge place, but the variety will roll your socks down. Aside from the wonderful selection of wines — they have absolutely the most stunning collection of single-serve bottles of liquor I’ve ever seen. Think of your favorite liquor store’s full stock of every liquor ever made — then shrink it down to 1 ½ — 2oz bottles. Which makes sense — A lot of theater goers must take just enough back to their hotel rooms to come down from a great theater buzz… And since they can’t carry an open container in their car home with them — and don’t want to throw out a bunch of leftovers — the little airplane bottles are the perfect answer. Polishing off a bottle of wine during a 1 or 2 day visit to the OSF would be nothing. But finishing 750ml of vodka would be a bit outrageous unless you’re traveling with a mini-van full of your closest friends. This is a liquor store with a very specific audience in mind — the Oregon Shakespeare Festival audience. And they have enough money to pay for hotels, meals, theater tickets — and liquor/wine for the after-party!

These guys are great — we’ve been in loads of times to pick up liquor, mixers, and sample bottles for gifts. The staff is always friendly, impressively knowledgable, and helpful. Love this place: D

The best place to buy wine in Oregon! The owner is friendly and really knows his wine. They have wine for any budget here, and of course lots of beautiful Oregon pinots too! Also great selection of hard to find beer. Can not say enough about this cool local gem, got great advice and will definitely be back!

Great selection of wine: varietals, regions, prices… The owner was very friendly and helpful. I chose two different $ 15 tempranillos, and asked for advice in choosing. He liked both, but also suggested a third tempranillo, that was exactly $ 15 as well, and it was wonderful. Equally important: he didn’t try to push a $ 30 bottle on me, when he could see i was choosing between $ 15 bottles. He listened, he loved his wine, and we got a great bottle.

Ashland Wine Cellar is the pits OK. Its in a basement under the liquor store the size of storage shed. The selection is very poor with mostly wines with a 50% markup targeted at customers who don’t know what the wines are that they are selling or what they should be priced at… I left the cellar and found great selections and fair prices in Ashland at the Market Of Choice.

The man Lorn who owns this store is super knowledgeable about all things wine. I always trust him to pick out the perfect wine for any occasion!

Absolutely wonderful! This place has all the wine that you’d want to drink and the recommendations to back it up! I’ve purchased a few of my own«better» bottles of Merlot from various sources, but this place is in the know. Definitely stop by and ask for your favorite wine variety(I’ll be returning tomorrow to discover a good white wine)!!
