Yum. My wife and I had the brussels sprouts, the peas, and the pork, and each one was super well balanced, complex, and flavorful. The staff was attentive, but not overly so; and the Viognier was way more interesting than expected. Wow! And Kevin(chef) is both gracious and a wonderful host.

Really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of this place and the variety of the small plates menu. Two of us shared the Golden Plum Duck Breast, White Bean and Avocado Salad and Braised Peas and that was plenty. Also had a divine Chocolate Pot de Crème for dessert. Kevin, the owner, is delightful. He was taking all the orders, plating some of the dishes and serving — I think he needs more help… We asked for his recommendations for dishes to try and wines to go with them. It’s a very small place, so a good idea to make reservations. We are looking forward to coming back with friends to try other dishes on the menu.

Wow, I can’t even believe how that was handled. We booked a reservation through Unilocal and received two confirmation emails. I called an hour ahead of time to confirm the online reservation and had to leave a message(because no one answered the phone) that we were going to be 15 minutes late for our 6pm reservation. When we showed up, we were told there was no record of our reservation(what about my phone message, in which I left my phone number?). I showed him the email, and he just shrugged and said«Sorry.» And we were turned away. So we spent 20 minutes on the phone out on the sidewalk trying to find someplace that could seat and serve us before the 8pm play on a Saturday night. Not a great start to my daughter’s special birthday night out. I wouldn’t recommend anyone trust any reservation they make here without making a backup reservation somewhere else(especially on a Saturday night with time constraints!). And what’s the point of that? Just go somewhere else.(We got cheerful, prompt service at another restaurant in town.).

I’m updating my review because I just noticed I misspelled ‘afterward’. This place still rocks, as the kids say nowadays.

Small and cozy, charming staff. Small plates can be a challenge, but the waitress advised us on how many dishes would work for our group, which was very helpful. I’d pay for the recipes for the torta and the cold fish dish. Everything was tasty and we loved the sangria.

While their menu is small it is very imaginative and mouthwatering. The service is excellent and attentive. The space is extremely attractive and colorful and though filled not overly loud. The problem is the execution of the very yummy sounding menu. The dishes are all but flavorless. A big disappointment.

Small plates to share, and we could have chosen every one! Lamb, shrimp with avocado, melon and tomato salad, fig and goat cheese bruschetta, chocolate cake for dessert. All delicious. Good service and pleasing, small space. Our fav in Ashland so far.

I wish there was some flavor. Efficient, and unexciting. They came by to see how we were doing, so that’s nice.

The Sangria here in the summer is to die for! Had an equally delicious shrimp and avocado salad — shrimp cooked beautifully and just the perfect amount of wine vinaigrette for the bed of fresh and perfect summer greens and avocado. Unfortunately I came alone to this stellar find in Ashland and apparently a woman dining solo was a thing of disdain or such an oddity the wait staff didn’t know what to make of it. I was studiously ignored while watching — somewhat bemused — as other couples and multiples were serviced admirably. Frankly I’ve never understood this in the service business. A solo diner screams«pay attention» and«I have more money to tip you with!» but many wait people don’t have a clue. In any case, if you have occasion to dine here before a play or some other occasion in Ashland, do. Just don’t go alone!

Food is quite good and service is nice. We had really good duck and a nice shrimp and avocado plate. The chocolate cake with Catalan ice cream was excellent. The plates are very small. If you aren’t very hungry, that would be better. And it can be noisy.

I’ve been here four times over the last year. Wonderful combination of flavors in a wide variety of dishes. Order to share. Good wine selection too.

A total gem! We loved Eleven. We found it on Unilocal and open table. Did not expect much, and wow! The food was incredible. Order a Few dishes and share, since the restaurant serves small plates. The duck was our favorite along with the lamb sliders. The wine was perfect. The lemon tart dessert was sublime. Highly recommend this place. Go early as they do run out of dishes, several were not available as we went late for Ashland.

Made it back to Eleven last night and wasn’t disappointed — ATALL! Kevin recommended the lamb lollipops, a salad and the tart. What the heck, we had the ceviche as well. The salad was the perfect start — light and interesting with greens, strawberries, hazelnuts and a great tasting cheese, all in the correct proportions, the ceviche came next and carried on the light theme with a zingy fish/herbs/tomato dish that was delightful and very refreshing. Then it was time to get down to business with the bacon /blue cheese tart. It was de — -vine. The rich, flavorful tart simply melts in your mouth. We enjoyed a beautiful white wine with these dishes recommended by Kevin. The ‘last but not least’ dish then arrived… swept on to the table with a wonderful red wine… the lamb lollipops. Wonderful presentation with a gorgeous sauce — they were simply out of this world. I highly recommend this restaurant and their amazing food. Kevin and his staff are doing a great job.

Tried Eleven on a spring visit to Ashland. Four of us got a large variety of small plates and loved basically everything. The owner is passionate about the food and was there in person, talking to guests and making sure everything ran smoothly. We come back in the summer with a group of 20+, and we have already made reservations to ensure we have a spot. This place is terrific, try it soon!

I cannot believe how horrible they made us feel as soon as we walked in the door. We Unilocaled this place and love Basque food so we decided to give it a try. As soon as we entered, a guy blocked the next doorway in to the restaurant saying that they were completely booked. We did a get a chance to look in and there was only one other couple in the entire place. Avoid being treated this way and DONOTGOHERE!

The food was delicious and the service was good. We shared a warm winter salad that had roasted Brussels sprouts. My husband doesn’t usually like Brussels sprouts, but he liked this salad, as did I. We also shared a chicken dish that was good. It featured apples and cranberries. Speaking of apples, we shared the apple fritters for dessert. They took a long time to get served but were worth the wait!

Great food, friendly and knowledgeable owner, decent service for such a small place on a very busy night. We had plans to drive up from Oakland on Valentine’s Day so we knew we would need reservations. I don’t know how we stumbled upon this place but we felt lucky they still had a table available just a week out. In fact, that they had tables available made me a little nervous. I needn’t have worried. We love Spanish food but had never eaten Basque cuisine before and I’d always wanted to try it. I’m so glad we did! This little gem offers a limited but varied menu. It’s served family style, so everything is shared. We had 3 dishes between the two of us. We wanted to try all of the others but it would have been too much. The lamb and the quail were excellent, but the Warm Winter Salad, which was built around Brussel sprouts was the dish we loved most. it had a some type of cured ham(Serrano?) and shaved Manchego, with a Cherry vinaigrette drizzled on top. We split a hazelnut-chocolate torte for dessert, which was served with blood orange sections and Catalan cream on top. The crust was like a rich shortbread. This finished off the meal nicely. My wife had a Sauvignon Blanc, which was yummy and I had a decent Tempranillo, both local and good values. I don’t know if we would drive up from Oakland just to go here, but if we were local we would eat here often.

Small friendly, tapas style restaurant with great little affordable wine list. Menu changes regularly, so not going to make specific mention of plates. Will say trust owner, Kevin, to guide you. He has the passion that foodies like me love. He has created original tapas options inspired by various ethnic cuisines. Ingredients fresh, flavors layered, nuanced, and so good! Little salad plates or plates of lamb, quail, duck, chicken, or white bean with Serrano ham, were all wonderful and easily paired with reasonably priced bottles of wine. I think they were all under $ 40 a bottle. For two people, three plates are fine, four if you are hungry. If I lived in Ashland, I would eat here regularly.

we took a chance on a new place to eat tonight and we are very glad we did. Small potions of tasty foods prepared to order with specials , a local wine list, great prices, and a newness of spirit that will have us coming back. We found them on OpenTable. everything we had was perfect!

A delightful surprise at Eleven. We wanted something light or at least small portions and got exactly what we were looking for. We had the flat iron steak with chimichurri and the fig bruschetta. Both were excellently prepared and presented and very tasty. The newness of the restaurant is still evident in the décor inherited from their predecessor and the lack of an eponymous awning, but the food definitely spoke for itself. And the glass of wine we shared was excellent, from one of Southern Oregon’s own wineries. We had a great chat with the owner, Kevin, and hope they do well in the busy and competitive culinary environment of Ashland.
