Solid coffee shop. Got a cappuccino and is was excellent. Typical artsy coffee shop vibe with plenty of seating inside and out.

i been going to evos for years now and they just got a new owner, i complained one time about my coffee on facebook and while i was walking home the new owner saw me an had to come confront me about complaining on facebook saying that«people read that stuff and its bad for business». the new owner of evos is my old middle school teacher, and he also says to me «how would you like it if i dug stuff up about you from middle school and complained about you on facebook» so now i dont go to evos anymore

This is a great coffee place. My boyfriend and I make sure to come hear whenever we are in the area. Love getting some java to go with our oatmeal. The people working there and super nice too!

Another great spot in Ashland. This is a relaxed, eclectic place. They have hand-blown glass light fixtures and all kinds of crazy art exhibited on the walls. They have fantastic coffee and great food. It’s not fancy and it’s not dull, and the regulars are a colorful lot of nice folks.

Well, it’s not called Evo’s JAVAHOUSE, for one. I don’t know why it’s called that here on Unilocal — probably makes people pretty confused there… But anyways, this place is pretty cool. They have awesome pastries, great bagels, and these chocolate covered coconut marshmallow twinkie things that they call monkeybars… and sell for 1.50. Uhhh yeah, everyone should go there and try one, because they’re fantastic. Prices really across the board are affordable here — unlike some other coffee shops in town. Interesting décor, and the baristas are totally rad. The one complaint I could possibly have about it is the clientele… hoooly shit. haha. Basically, this spot is overrun by hippies and ‘homeless’ hanging out outside, complaining about the government that they mooch off of. They don’t really get in your way at all, as they are somewhat reclusive, but if you do interact with them, they are usually a friendly bunch. That said… Damn if they aren’t opinionated folk if you’re eavesdropping in on their conversations — intentionally or not. Chemtrails? what? haha…

Gayle and I woke up a little early one morning and as the Peerless Hotel Coffee wouldn’t ready until 7:15, we headed Downtown to look for our first cup of Joe. We got there right at 7 and immediately got down to business with a strong cup of black coffee for me and a latte for her. Add a Monkey Bar for a Nosh and we were good to go until Breakfast.

My husband and I love this place. We go to Ashland every year for about a week, and while we’re there we make sure to frequent Evo’s every day. It has a fun, eclectic, and relaxed atmosphere and great coffee(Café con Miel is my favorite), not to mention they have plenty of seating indoors and out, lots of parking, and the owners are wonderfully friendly people. Take a book(or borrow one of theirs), grab a coffee and pastry, and hang out there for a bit – you won’t regret it.

I stopped in for coffee for myself and a treat for my daughter. The chocolate croissant was delicious, according to my daughter. I was pleasantly surprised when I asked for almond milk to put in my coffee, and not only did they know what it was, they actually had some for me to use! I have been in scores of coffee shops around the western United States and this is the only coffee shop that has had it! Amazing!

This is my favorite coffee house in the US! Fun and funky, great coffee and tea and super friendly service. Evo’s has great atmosphere and is full of locals and students. There are even a couple of board games and a computer for public use. The mate was delicious and the Almond Joy was amazing. I wish we had a coffee house this much fun in my town.

Funky, relaxed vibe overall with people sketching at tables, one guy playing guitar outside. Best part(aside from the amazing hot oatmeal) was the covered wide, wooden porch out front. The coffee was meh – not particularly strong or flavorful, but drinkable.

Friendly, weird local Ashland hang-out… Evo’s gives one the opportunity to observe the many types of Hippies that call Ashland home. Bring a random vessel from home to fill with delicious coffee and see if you can spot the corporate hippie, the hipster hippie, and the endemic-to-Ashland hippie under the gazebo!

I’m not sure this is a problem, really, but the clientele at Evo’s skews heavily male. After walking past scores of times and noting the oddly large number of men on the front porch and at the gazebo, I finally walked in yesterday morning, and behold! Ten men each sitting alone at the ten tables inside – grizzly-looking men, college guys, old timers, shoddy-looking men – producing a really strange vibe. Coincidence? Given my previous passing observations, likely not. Then what was the draw? Is the phrase«coffee house» somehow less threatening than«café» to the male sensibility? Perhaps the décor? The dark, brooding walls? Safety in numbers? Beautiful baristas?(Not that I noticed or ever use that as a criterion in reviews. I’m just saying that what I witnessed might have been the result of the theoretical presence of beautiful baristas. Not that the ones working then weren’t actually beautiful or anything. I didn’t pay attention, so I don’t know. Er, I mean, I would have noticed if… no, that’s not what I… oh screw me. The baristas working there were gorgeous. Moving on.) Grabbed a coffee, and a carrot cake, both of which were yummy, and made my way outside to sit in the cold. And after 5 mins of freezing my ass off, I left to go sit in my car. It seems like it would be a decent place to get work done. But, I have serious doubts as to whether there will ever be a free table inside. The men seemed like they each had been sitting there over 24 hrs already. Each in their own little territory. As if they peed around each of their tables to mark their boundaries. Sorry, I went too far. My imagination got the better of me. No, don’t use your imagination right now! Sorry again! Uh, I’ll stop writing now.

My coffee this morning was delicious! I like that they have a choice of light, medium or dark roast coffee. I also like that they have non-disposable cups if you don’t want your coffee to go. The woman at the counter was so nice, and it looked like a pleasant place to hang out. I’ll go back the next time I’m in Ashland!

I’ve been walking by this place for years and never went in. Finally decided to give it a try last weekend and am really glad I did. This place reminded me of going to Renaissance Faires back in the day. Really fun and funky handmade ceramic cups and plates, so no two are alike, and just the vibe of the place. You could tell that most of the customers were locals(mainly college kids) and were greeted by name or drink and every table was full. Very artsy and Ashland. This coffee shop has a few food offerings including vegan muffins, pastries, organic juices and some breakfast and lunch items. I saw a yummy looking plate of biscuits and gravy that I would order if I was here for breakfast. They serve only organic Soma coffee and espresso drinks, naturally. There is an outdoor patio in the front and a separate smoking area(what they’re smoking I’ll leave to your imagination) along Main Street. I ordered a Dark Chocolate Soma Mocha with real whipped cream and it was very good. Long wait for the drink. They only had one barista and the orders definitely backed up. Great art collection inside so it made the wait pleasant.

I like Evo’s. For what it is, and every college town ought to have one, it’s a pleasant small place to get coffee or munchies while hanging out downtown. I especially liked that they had a computer terminal available & it isn’t necc. to go through the rigamarole– like at the Public Library– to go online if you are in from out of town for a few days, just to get to use it…(and now I hear they’re gonna close the Public Library down next year, & while Evo’s isn’t yet charging for their net time, the day will come… I can’t say enough nice things about Ashland, being from out-of-state, although I love the place enough to consider resettling here someday. And at Evo’s you generally find good people and interesting music on the«employee juke» and pleasant vibes. 4−18−08− My Ashland contacts inform me that now, Evo’s is under new management,(and they probably changed their name.) Ah well, so it goes. There goes the neighborhood!
