Best Italian in the area! This is our go-to spot for a night out to eat. The garlic rolls are to die for! My favorite entrée is the eggplant. My boyfriend loves the specials, he gets one every time and they never disappoint. Yum! The service is great and the owner even stops by our table sometimes to check on us. The atmosphere is welcoming and family oriented. 5 stars

My husband and I have to agree with George W. The food IS bland and has very little flavor. Honestly, I make a better marinara sauce from my mother’s recipe. We have only been twice, but will not be back. We deliberately tried different entrees each time, to see if the problem was with one – or two – particular items. It was not. We feel the food was very overpriced, considering it was nearly tasteless. A poor value and I(we) would NOT recommend.

The best Italian food I’ve since we left Boston’s North end. We were greeted with homemade garlic rolls. Phenomenal Cesar salad with homemade dressing. My wife had the chicken frances she said was to die for. I had chicken Parmesan which was very satisfying. Large portions. Would recommend to anybody anytime

We have bought food for the last time from Guidos. Pizza-undercooked. Salad-old and wilted. not fresh at all. Chicken parm-awful…precooked flavorless chicken with flavorless breading on top of bland marinara. Spaghetti w meat sauce-POOR!

They did not honor a coupon I brought in. I was very surprised they would burn a bridge over $ 10. The sauce is very, very good, but the ravioli I had seemed like it was from Costco.

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to DC and I was very impressed! It ended up being a small town Itsliam restaurant with great food(the garlic knots are to die for) and excellent hospitality. We came around 8pm so it wasn’t very crowded. The head chef came out and introduced himself and asked us if we’d like to try a soup on the house. He could tell we were first timers, I suppose :) We will be stopping there on our way to DC from now on!

We had our first experience with Guido’s a week or so ago. Starting with looks, it seemed like an okay place. It’s kind of open so not very cozy. Doesn’t look very new either, but not so run down you wouldn’t want to eat there. We had the fettuccine alfredo and lasagna with side salads and garlic rolls. The salads we’re run of the mill, but I didn’t love the honey mustard dressing. The garlic rolls tasted like they were pre-cooked and reheated, so they were hard as a rock. I didn’t finish mine, which is rare for me, since bread is my favorite thing ever. The pasta tasted undercooked and the alfredo was very bland. The owner was at the table continuously talking and asking how we liked everything and whether or not we would come back, which I understand, but it also made the experience kind of awkward and uncomfortable to feel like we were under surveillance the entire time. lol The bar seemed full, so it looks like this could be a good place for after work drinks. It seems like it could have potential if the food quality is increased. We may grab a pizza to go one day to review their pizza quality. IMHO, with all the Italian competition in the area, I don’t think it’s a restaurant we will visit again.

I know it says not to write a review if you are connected to the people that work there in any way but I hope it is ok if I disclose I am. Guido’s is a fantastic Italian restaurant with friendly service and big portions. If you choose to dine in or take out I guarantee you will be happy you gave Guidos a try. My favorites are the Eggplant Parm, Salads, and Marsala.
